    I've experienced autoimmune issues since 14. My body overreacts to many things. I now have enough proof I won't be a good candidate for implants. I breastfed and my small breasts disappeared and are sagging. Most surgeons don't like to do fat transfer and or don't have the experience. I hope the procedure gets more popular and I get the funds to go to a very experienced doctor, God willing 🙏

    I have had my breast implants for over 30 years now with absolutely no issues… maybe it’s just an individual case by case… but I’ve been so blessed.

      The problem can touch the lives of 6.6M women. It can ruin their lives with chronic inflammation and break apart their family in the process. The problem is “breast implant illness” on social media but one of the leading causes is bacterial contamination on breast implants. I recently published the largest quantitative PCR series in the world looking at bacterial contamination on breast implants. I understand how the bacteria interacts with breast tissue, the genetic predisposition, environmental toxicity burden, gut microbiome issues, food sensitivities, hormonal imbalance as well as insights into their metabolomics. I would like to have a conversation about this to help women who are being prescribed unnecessary placed medications like steroids and antidepressants. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Austin, Texas whose career is rooted cancer reconstruction. Here is the link to my website. www.drrobertwhitfield.com I have also been performing breast implant removal, explant surgery, for both cancer and cosmetic patients since 2016. Here is a link to my paper which is open access. www.mdpi.com/2076-2607/12/9/1830 In addition, I have a RUclips channel www.youtube.com/@breastimplantillnessexpert/videos where I discuss the issues facing these patients as well as on my podcast. open.spotify.com/show/1SPDripbluZKYsC0rwrBdb?si=ce148ef8d8164b0a&nd=1&dlsi=8b873708159d4d8a breast-implant-illness.fireside.fm I recently published a book on my methodology for surgical recovery, SHARP. drrobssolutions.com/products/sharp-strategic-holistic-accelerated-recovery-program-by-dr-robert-whitfield

    What a wonderful conversation. You all are way more patient than I am, my husband didn't get a vote. I explanted which was the best for my health and that is what the priority is. He is lucky to have me in his life and if he needed to have someone with bigger boobs - best of luck to ya! (I will have someone else in my life that has the same belief as I do). My husband never went there and will not leave my side, which is what I will only accept.

    I was happy when I found this video. I always knew I wasn’t crazy thinking my implants were causing my health issues. However, after reading pricing information for Dr Whitfields ex-plant surgery prices I will never be able to afford it. It’s extremely expensive for me. Sadly, I cannot find a surgeon with knowledge of Breast Implants illness that’s affordable. I have insurance but until the FDA approval for insurance to pay I’m stuck living with my illness caused by my breast implants. If I knew my decision 20 years ago would lead me here. I would’ve never gotten implants. So depressing

      Moving forward it is important to evaluate everything you are putting into your body. Controlling the types of foods, fluids and air quality is the place to start.

    I appreciate this video. I had implants for 10 years. 2 years after I was diagnosed with M.S. no one in the family has it. I had symptoms immediately after but had no idea what it was until I got an MRI. I went to my implant surgeon, but he said he doubted that the inplants had anything to do with it. I went for a consult, but he said my implants were fine, and there was no need to explant. But after 10 years, my mindset changed. I just feel top-heavy and not happy with how I look.

    I have had my implants for 20 years and also spent tens of thousands of dollars getting all of the tests mentioned here - every gut test, sensitivity test, DNA test, seen specialist after specialist, experts, taken dozens upon dozens of supplements, etc. I am certain I have BII. If I came in to see another Dr who made me retake all of those tests I would be discouraged enough I would got see someone less skilled just to get them out. I get doing all of that for someone who hasn’t been to everyone and tried everything. But to have to do the same tests - maybe for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time would send me over the edge. I’m so tired and in such pain at this point.- and I have missed much of my kids lives being too tired to participate - I couldn’t manage being told to wait another 4-6 months figuring out what I already know. Makes me cry thinking about it and I’m still trying to get into my first consult to remove them.

      If you already have done the work it is doubtful that much if any would be repeated. Toxicity testing is most frequent repeat test to clarify for the patient what contributes to ongoing inflammation.

    I have been a walking person with high WBC anywhere from 16,000-28,000. Since 20011. I’ve been missed diagnosed with CML with a false positive blood test. Swollen lymph glands on head and elsewhere. I have had many of the symptoms, but chalked it up to life. My question is: Has anyone had high WBC from saline textured implants that have been recalled? I have a consult in June to have an explant. I’m hoping the explant will stop the high WBC and all the other issues.

    Hello Dr, I´ve been seeing your videos and I'd really appreciate if you could tell me your medical opinion. I'm a 27yr old woman with IBS (just now started cutting gluten and lactose off my diet and see improvements already) and I also have vitiligo on my skin (very small but it's there). I've been wanting implants ever since i can remember but all the research on breast implant illness scares me. I've been to a first consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon about getting implants and I mentioned the IBS and vitiligo but the doctor said there would be no problem, and there's no possible correlation or anything to be worried about. What's your medical opinion please? Thank you so much!

      I guess my question would be why do you have IBS? The second would be to look at all alternatives including fat transfer which uses your own tissue.podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/breast-implant-illness/id1678143554?i=1000657256692

      @@breastimplantillnessexpert Thank you so much for your reply! I believe my IBS is caused by food sensitivities and maybe cause I´m an anxious person as well.
      So, you wouldn't really advice implants right?

  • @SunyataMaanyata
    @SunyataMaanyata 7 месяцев назад +2

    Hi there, if those husbands feel that way about the explant.. then they may benefit from paying for the fat transfer (if it’s called that). Right?
    Post-explant, I mean …

    • @breastimplantillnessexpert
      @breastimplantillnessexpert  7 месяцев назад

      We work hard to offer fat transfers as often as possible to help with changes. It should be understand that fat is not and cannot act to replace and implant. It simply enhances exiting breast tissue by placement in the fatty layer above the breast but beneath the skin.
