- This is an extended cut of the previously posted M. Night Shyamalan "Servant" junket interview.
"Servant" is an Apple TV+ series produced by M. Night Shyamalan, starring Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Rupert Grint, Nell Tiger Free, and is written by Tony Basgallop. In this interview Shyamalan discusses the religious elements of the story and filmmaking, the creative process of developing, pitching, and shooting the series, and directing on the series (episodes 1.01 and 1.09).
"Servant" premieres on Thanksgiving, November 28, on Apple TV+.

LadyJenevia I really loved it! I think my first viewing had me so fascinated with his explanation of how not to do a show process being the EXACT reason for the disintegration of Game of Thrones made me completely ignore everything else. This of course was not his reason for the explanation, it just hit me like a wrecking ball for the exact explanation for the loss of the (once) greatest show ever! Again, amazing questions and the perfect interview! All of the good answers come from your intrigue and inquiries! 👍🤗🙌

binged it yesterday and it was that type where you couldnt just watch one ep.i hope it dont get ruined
Problem with most tv shows: No longterm road map. They keep playing that fiddle as long as it makes money. I wish some of my favorite shows had planned on ending after 2 or 3 seasons.

I’m glad he said that he didn’t intend the viewer to binge watch it. I felt the same (after binge watching it) that I would have appreciated it more week to week.

Great interview. I would have however liked to have had the interviewers have mics or something to pump up that volume. It was either he was super loud or you couldn’t hear both at all.
That was a hell of a (no pun intended) first question lol you see M. had to think how to thoroughly answer that initially

I love that he mentioned GOT. Driving a story forcefully onto rails that are not the same story you have told so far and it doesn’t fit.

ra al We’re not permitted to post spoilers early or else we lose media access. All I will say is that I didn’t find the show to be easily predictable or formulaic and that’s part of why I enjoyed it so much. It felt really fresh. 😄🎬
