Great episode guys. I’ve gone back and looked at Episode 3 (Hair) to find a body hanging in the background when Julian calls his dad. I can’t find anything. There are only 2 camera angles. The one down the hall and the straight on shot of him on the phone. In the hall shot looking at the nursery I can see the mobile turning in the background but not anything large enough to be a body. If you can point it out I’d love to see that.
I’m thinking that the homeless used to be part of the cult but they “got away” like Leanne. If you go back to the finale of the first season Aunt May was telling Leanne that they “help those who deserve to be helped”. So my thought is that the cult has a purpose of actually serving and helping others which sometimes comes in the form of bringing people or living beings back to life after they die. Each person in the cult is seen as having two opposing sides: a light and a dark. When they are in service of the cult and others they are showing that light side and resurrection is one of their powers. When they see that a member is drifting away from that and moving towards that “dark side” they perform the sacrifice ceremony to keep them from becoming a dark entity. When Leanne killed Josephine she severed herself from the cult (or her “light” side). So now she cannot revive anything after it dies and her powers are expressed in chaos. Very evil things are starting to happen. She wants to keep her family together and her powers are emanating in ways that make her wishes come true. If the homeless are kids that escaped the cult then they may be drawn to her as one of their own who has great powers. It would almost be like there will be a standoff at the end between Leanne and the homeless against the cult members. This also might be why Uncle George told Sean that he had no idea what he had welcomed into his house.
The funny thing about that though would be that the cult actually isn’t evil. They are literally trying to protect the world from entities like Leanne.

About Veera, I don't think she's a cult member. If she is then her way of speaking and the way she dresses would be the first time we've seen anyone change from how they normally present themselves. In Episode 2 when Leanne was describing them to Sean she said that they would "dress strangely. Like how they think normal people should dress." Veera tends to be more fashionable and fits in well with Julian and the family. I think the reason that she tends to push Julian towards being suspicious about Leanne and Jericho is that they both have been through rehab and are in the frame of mind that the only answer to what is happening with Jericho is that Dorothy has a dependent and easily manipulated personality. After facing their own issues they are trying to find ways to fix others. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a hidden motive but I'm not sure it's because she's a cult member.

Leanne cannot control her powers. Maybe she accidentally brought those people back to life without her meaning too and now they worship her.

    So many u answered questions
    Where is Sean’s family ( parents )
Why no baby pictures ( anywhere )
Uncle George insinuated that he is a ghost bc he was brought back to life but he lives under bridges etc bc he can’t get out of “This world “ and their only job is to do Gods will
    Nothing else
    If God doesn’t say do it , u don’t
But Leann did bc she fantasized about Dorothy being her mom , she wanted to help her … then realized that was a mistake

Let me explain what's going on,
    Dorothy is deluded.
Leanne does not exist. Her death took place in the past.
Dorothy's delusion involves Sean and Julian. Sean and Julian are both alive, but Dorothy sees them differently. Thus, when we watch the show, we see everything through Dorothy's eyes. As a matter of fact, Sean and Julian are doing their best to help Dorothy overcome her delusion. It is because of Dorothy that Sean and Julian's lives revolve around her.
Dorothy is being treated by Aunt Josephine and Uncle George, who are doctors.
The Church is made up of people who work for Aunt Josephine and Uncle George. That's why Aunt Josephine, Uncle George, and the church want to kill Leanne. Dorothy will be free from her delusion once Leanne dies. Leanne is what is preventing Dorothy from realizing the truth, which is why everyone is trying to kill her. As a result of her baby's death, Dorothy created Leanne to relieve the guilt she feels.
The videos you see constantly playing are what give you the backstory. Her delusion is based on the experiences she gained as a reporter in the past. Leanne is the mannequin in the house. The delusion of Dorothy is based on her past experiences. She created the church, Leanne, all based on her past experiences as a reporter.
Dorothy's mind is the house. Every time the house breaks, Dorothy is waking up. Dorothy will be free once the house is broken, and Leanne must die before the house can be broken.
Therefore, Dorothy is in a delusion. In order to create her delusion, she drew upon her experience as a reporter in the past. She sees Sean, Julian, Aunt Josephine, Uncle George, and everyone else as she wants. Leanne is the cause of her delusion, and the house is her mind. In Dorothy's delusion, Aunt Josephine and Uncle George (both doctors) are trying to kill Leanne.

Yes, Dorothy has dissociative identity disorder. Most of the series is in her mind.

I think Leanne and the cult members died and became angels who help along gods will thru subtle miraculous events but Leanne defected and are using her abilities to preform blasphemous miracles kind of like a fallen angel. Leanne whose intentions are pure in the beginning starts engaging in vanity pride lust and envy becoming more power hungry and manipulative like the false god or devil …this story is about Leanne’s fall from grace but also her empowerment

I don’t agree with Julian’s gf being in the cult, if Julian has been intimate with both gf and Leanne - wouldn’t the randomness of 2 women with severe back scars be an alert?

I feel pretty confident that this is a biblical theme. There is no actual “cult” per se. They seem to me to be angels with specific roles/jobs on earth. If you go back to S1 episode two, Dorothy says to Julian that Leanne is “a gift from God”.
The angel figures are under strict orders of our Lord to do works on earth. Leanne rebels from God’s servitude (rebellion is a strong theme) and seems to inspire other angels (homeless in the park) to follow her. Wonder who that sounds like?

What if Leanne saved Jericho from the car that hot summer day and replaced him with a dead baby. So when she showed up to the house she actually had a baby in the suitcase the whole time, and it was Jericho the whole time, not a resurrected Jericho but the one she saved. They would then have to explain who the dead baby is but it would be a happy ending (which I’m hoping for.) the happiest ending would be that the baby is Jericho not some resurrected Jesus form of Jericho but the living baby they thought died…..
