I'm cooking at a retirement home through the holidays. I've been listening to this album, as well as the Dean Martin song "That's Amore" on repeat to get me through it. It's tough, I just started 3 weeks ago, and I'm taking care of lunch and dinner for Christmas eve, Christmas, and boxing day on my own, with insufficient training considering the high stakes needs of the residents that we're feeding. I just joined a band as lead guitar for a prog-ey, psych-rock group that has only played one show so far, but has a full setlist of originals, and I also met a girl who plays incredible piano and sings beautifully. I don't know if she likes me as much as I like her yet, but we've genuinely been enjoying each other's company and playing our own originals for each other. This Christmas objectively wasn't that great, but I got to enjoy it with some really special roommates that made it better than the last two Christmases. I'm curious how I'll look back on this time in 10 years, but I know this album will always bring me back to this exact moment in time. Every time I hear those first few notes, I'm going to remember standing at that cold bus station at Shelbourne and MacKenzie waiting for number 27, constantly checking my phone for that text back from Eva, and checking my black notebook for what I'm gonna have to prep first; the soup or the mains. Having such a fantastic instrumental album has given my mind the space and time to really digest and make sense of the world I'm experiencing in currently, and thank you so much, Woody, for putting so much thought and effort into this album. I keep sharing it with friends, and I really hope they learn to appreciate it the way I have.
I don't quite know how to respond to this Woody.. But this is without a doubt the best classical, flying chill, jazzy, funky, groovy, ghospely and almost psychedelic album, I've ever heard. Thank you, for making me bop my head so hard it's permanently dislocated :)
I agree. i understand why bands tease two thirds of an album on the lead up, but for me it just means that when the album drops I don't have an incentive to listen to it
I guess hes got something for everyone as he has been doing one song a week, probably did 5 releases on his youtube topic channel which is just when he uploads it to distro kid. I love the trickle releases
I have been raving about this album to my friends and family, begging them to listen. They think I have eccentric taste in music.... some can't tolerate music without words or consider it different. Can u take tim out is my new favorite song- the solo is passionate and thoughtful without being overly complicated. Here we go Rosie reminds me of the soundtrack to VVVVV, which is absolutely a compliment. I keep rewinding i will never be cool like a junkie. No more funk is calm in its beautiful execution- the keys shine so well on that song in particular. Congratulations Woody, you made an album arguably better than any of the rest of Vulf.
I just started birding and wildlife photography. This is perfect music to listen to while out on a hike. Love this. My favorite is dude shut up. Lovely album
This is just so insanely fun to listen to. The soundscape is so unified throughout the album (WITHOUT getting stale) that before u know it uve listened to the whole thing front to back
I'm only halfway through listening to this, but this album definitely makes me feel stuff (in a good way). I often find your music has a kind of melancholic yet very nostalgic vibe and is also very groovy at the same time. Great album! ❤🦆
Love this album! Telling my friends about this one and it's dope that it was recorded close to me in Chicago! I ran into Woody Goss outside of Rax Trax last summer while walking a dog and introduced myself. He was very nice of course!!
Love your work, Woody. Ever interesting writing and harmonic sensibilities, and always appreciate the sensitivity of your touch and time feel. Inspiring, thank you for sharing !
WOOOOOODY this is so good!!! I would love to be that unknown guy you bring in for percussion on your next album, I'll play baritone ukulele, kalimba, and maybe change seats and play bass on a simpler groove, and I would love to play some xylo as well to round out the instrumentation on my end for you. Either way, keep up the fantastic work sir!
First part of the first song has the same chord progression and key as Dark Red by Steve Lacy, I'm wondering what those vocals would sound like over this song. 😊
Hey Woody, I live in Virginia beach. I was driving home from work just now and seen a huge bald eagle in a field. I never seen one in person. Sorry but I feel the need to let you know everytime i see a cool bird lol
this album made me believe that birds are real again
My wife - “sounds like a funeral.”
My lil boy - “sounds like a bank heist.”
Me - dreaming of the sickest burglar eulogy.
“he died doing what he loved. robbing banks”
*applause*
love that... also talk about a funky funeral, really putting the "fun" in funeral!
woody goose
I can't believe this masterpiece only has 30k clicks
It's like my ears are having a thanksgiving meal.
Highest praise possible
It's like a party in my mouth, and everyone's invited
17:10 cannot get this out of my head

did they all survive?
What happened with Eva? Don't leave us hanging!
Every time Woody drops something it reminds me how great of a composer he is. The vibes are impeccable on this whole album. Thanks Woody!
I actually cried at the end when I realised there were no more songs
so many good vulf-adjacent projects happening. we eating GOOD
Came for the loon, stayed for the lute.

Thanks for your remark. I was most for words.
If i had money, and a vinyl player, I'd buy the vinyl. So far, Woody don't seem to miss.
So good. And much better getting the whole album at once instead of a song each week.

no music is better than other, just different
@@starosta975 key word arguably
definitely does have VVVVVVibes with the chiptune style about it, but I wouldn't say this album beats out the rest of the VVVVVVulf by any means
sounds like you had fun with "here we go, rosie"
I like it
4:05 this break always messes up my face, love it :D
Woody, here we go rosie is so rich with emotions! Epiphany, understanding, and love.

Woody! Huge fan of the album. You should totally consider writing music for video games. The vibes would be gnarly.
Woody! I keep coming back to this! You're a hero.
Keep coming back to this while working on my art. Really makes me think of the cartoon series Chowder. I'm down for that lol
