    Your motorized bicycle is very nice and I like the Jack shaft shifting system, I live in Mexico and I also have a motorized bicycle that I made myself in round 29 and I also made Jack Shaft which I like because it runs a lot and sounds like a motorcycle, I have reached speeds of up to 55 miles per hour and all the people stare at me when I pass

    You did a damn good job on the installation. the looking on I've seen yet. I see you understand how you most avoid potholes and all that stuff, because it would hard on the tires and frame. One of things I do is use my knees like shock absorbers to lessen the impact on the tires and bike frame. But yeah, good job man

    Word to the wise. Jetting where you have driveways every 10ft, it's not an if, it is just a when, someone or something sails right out in front of you. Great build very cool,stay safe Cheers

      I know you are right buddy. I do usually stick to the speed limits if that helps. And I often wonder what's the difference between a motorized bicycle and a standatd motorcycle. I ride motorcycles on the roads. The bicycle makes just as much noise and stops just as quickly. There is risk with both motorcycle bicycle and motorcycle. Even a standard bicycle without a motor is dangerous on the roads, especially here in South Africa where there are no bike lanes and other drivers are more dangerous here.

    Прекрасно! Возникли вопросы:

      Hi. Thanks for the comment.
      1. Its a pk80 motor with falcon 911 cylinder, mz65 exhaust, cnc head, dio reed intake.
      2. Resonator is mz65 from USA
      3. It has an ultra heavy duty freewheel bearing by the crank from sickbikeparts.com. Very strong.
      4. Oko 21mm carburetor
      5. Lovely acceleration. About 95km/h on a flat
      6. Not sure. Maybe 3 years light use.
      7. Drive train is ebike chain and sram steel cassette. Very strong. No issues.
      8. Big increase in power from the exhaust.
      9. It's loud. Makes a nice sound.

      @@Lubyagin only a pleasure. Happy to help.
      1. Fuel consumption is really not good though i haven't measured yet. I use 95 unleaded and Castrol power 1 two stroke oil.
      2. 10 speed cassette but i only use 9 of the sprockets. Not the smallest sprocket. I set the derailleur limits.
      3. bicycle chain has never broken and it has lasted very long so far. It is an ebike chain. KMC e10. Much stronger than standard chains.

    Great setup. It’s really a tricky thing to get the whole system running smoothly and reliably like that. I had a shift kit on a bike for about a month and then gave up on it. I still wonder every now and then if I had taken the time to get it right, how long the derailer/cassette would last. Anyhow, really you’ve got a nice little bike there bro.

    • @MotorizedBicycle1
      @MotorizedBicycle1  Год назад +2

      Why dont you give it a go again? A sram steel cassette and kmc ebike chain is very strong and a derailleur wouldn't take any more wear than usual. A Shimano XT or SLX derailleur with the clutch/damper system in it is working perfectly for me. The derailleur isn't under any extra stresses if it's set correctly and changes smoothly. I can jump 3 gears at a time. I just close the throttle, pull the clutch in and change gears, like a motorcycle. I don't actually need to but i just do it anyway. If I was full throttle and changing gears aggressively maybe it would be a different story. Logically something would break like that. Chains never jump off because every is set correctly and perfectly aligned and tensioned. Also have to use high quality chains. Like buy the strongest rated chain you can find. Industrial for primary drive and go for strength and not light weight on Shimano/kmc single speed and final drive. Remember high end bicycle chains are thinner materials, light weight. So be aware of that. Look for the heavy duty stuff rarther than weight savings.

  • @thewaffle3945
    @thewaffle3945 3 месяца назад

    that makes me wonder doe the jackshaft kit makes the bike reach higher top speed than like 32T sprocket?

    • @MotorizedBicycle1
      @MotorizedBicycle1  3 месяца назад +1

      No it will actually reduce output power at rear wheel due to friction losses of the extra drive chains and bearings. So top speed will be reduced a bit. Though you will have far more acceleration and rideabilty. And if you are going down hill with a smaller final drive gear then you will be faster than a bike without a jackshaft kit. Overall the bike is 1000% better to ride with a jackshaft kit. Imagine having a motorcycle or car without gears, it would be basically useless.

    Have you tried to run any racing fuels??

    • @MotorizedBicycle1
      @MotorizedBicycle1  10 месяцев назад

      No i haven't. I really dont think i need more power as its fast enough for a bicycle already. Higher octane fuel would need a higher compression ratio and an advanced ignition timing in order to start seeing performance increases. Just running higher octane fuel wont do anything good, higher octane fuel actually burns slower than regular fuel.

    • @MotorizedBicycle1

      I use the clutch to shift simply because I want to and because it will likely reduce wear on the derailleur. Even when I ride a bicycle, i don't shift while im cranking the pedals full power, i tap off a bit when I change gears.
