    I’m trying to be more plant based and as a Ghanaian this brings me joy because Shito is one of my favourite sauces.

    Thank you!! I visited Ghana in May 2021 and loved this sauce but just realized it has shrimps in it. Decided to look up a vegan recipe. Looking forward to try out this recipe.

    Idk if Ghanaians use Ogiri but that is so great as an African ingredient for umami / fishy flavour. Very healthy and so tasty when cooked down

      we don't in Ghana but dawa dawa or miso add a similar effect. I cook with these soo much that i didn't want to add them to my shito too

    Hi Afia. How do I keep the shito from burning at the bottom of the pot?

    • @eatwithafia
      @eatwithafia  Год назад

      Keep the heat at medium and stire occasionally. If the oil is too hot it will burn everything

    In the video you say two bulbs of garlic...in the written recipe there is no mention of this....What about the aise seeds ? Could you please list ALL of the ingredients here for consistency with their measurements ? I'm confused. Thank you.

      so sorry for the late update. I revise my recipes a lot but I have made sure to make them more consistent. The proper recipe is in the description box of this video.

      @@eatwithafia Thank you How much salt should I use in terms of teaspoons ? Could you tell me how much ginger in terms of thumb size ? For example: two thumb size pieces of ginger...

    • @eatwithafia
      @eatwithafia  Год назад

      @@cocoapuff134 salt is based on personal preference so I don't give out measurements for this. As for ginger, a scale is definitely a more precise use because ginger sizes vary. In the video is definitely about two large toes sizes of ginger. I also just posted an updated version on this channel if you are interested. It is for a much larger quantity
