Wow I’m from Puerto Rico n we have a shortage of plantains, green bananas. That is a staple here too. You guys have beautiful one’s . They are so good n you can cook them in so many ways. New sub 😊
clear as mud lol. I don't recognise any of the dishes you mentioned so very excited to have my ears get used to these new words, and learn what they mean, over time.
The food looks so good, and I love the variety! Thanks for explaining how you use leftovers, clear out the fridge, etc. I want to try making tatales soon😍
All your meals look really Delicious Being half Jamaican and American with green plantains we don't only make plantain chips , we also make a porridge out of them with green peanuts its delicious . did those donuts take as good as they look .?
Afia love your vids as always 💕💕 I was wondering if there was a deeper meaning behind the background song, it's always in your videos so I just associate with you
trying to switch to plant based and away from animal proteins. my friend can't have fried foods. is there a way to make a baked version of the tatale? Also I live in a food desert, everything has to be ordered online and it is expensive. I have 2 types of berbere spices, egusi seeds which was super expensive and red palm oil. are there any more common spices that I can use in place of say long pepper. I am still trying to find a cheaper source for ground fermented locust seeds to try it out. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Baking the recipe is actually called something else and I will share the recipe. As for the spices, I always have details in the blog post. I typically also use spices used in Indian cooking, which are certainly more accessible :)
I’m so thankful I found this channel ❤
The amount of thought and love that you put into your meals is stunning
Can’t wait for you to write a cookbook! I love your recipes

Great explanation of plantains! Until recently, I only had ripe ones pan fried. Great to learn about the amazing diversity of options!

I was reading the tatale recipe - palm oil is banned in the EU, what other oil would you recommend to use? So glad I've found your channel xx
I am not sure it is because it is literally in everything. I know a lot of Ghanaians living in Europe who purchase red palm oil from African stores
the recipe still has ideas on substitution! so please check it out :)
