I Cranked Two Marshall Stacks At The Same Time On My Deck For Science. And It Was Heard Miles Away!

- In this video I have a little fun and decided to crank my 1974 Marshall MKII And My Marshall JCM 900 at the same time at full volume... for science of course. And see what it sounded like from a mile away. I was a little concerned that this time the cops might be called, but my neighbors are cool. In this video I enlist the help of my friend Toddzilla from the Nashville based funk/rock band Jones World. Toddzilla is a great guy and added a of of pizazz to the video. The Skipper is still recovering from ailments and is still out of state. For those of you who are familiar with the Skipper, we talk on a regular basis, and this video is dedicate to him. Get well Skipper! We will do this again one day!
Anyway, it is very impressive how loud these amps are and how clear and crisp they sound from such a far distance away. It certainly is an experience you have to try once in your life as a guitarist, and one you will never forget. I hope you enjoy the video. Please subscribe!

Ohhh the memories. I did the same thing back in the 80's. I had a Carvin 6x10 on my 50 watt 1972 Marshall and a Laney 4x12 on my JCM800 Marshall. Cranked them both about halfway in the basement with the window open. Mom pulled onto the street and heard them a 1/2 mile away. When she got home she said "Please tell me you weren't in your room with those on" I was in the hallway. She said "Good" and walked away. I've thought about that day at least a 100 times in my life and it still makes me laugh. Thanks for the trip down memory lane 😂😂😂😂😂 Miss you Mom 🥰😍🥰

@@Ranch5150SkinWalker I drove four hours one-way to St. Louis to get a '64 Blonde 6g6B Bassman and an '89 Les Paul standard. I got them back home plugged them in, inched my way to 10 and immediately began fielding texts from my neighbor. I consider it a successful test. What a treat though.

In my 20s, I lived in a little house with a roommate. One weekend I decided to test my new wireless rig, so I moved my Marshall head and cab out into the yard. My house and the neighbor's (a friend of ours) house were on a large, shared yard. I decided to see how loud this thing would be full-on, and I remember just being like, "OMG, this is awesome!!!" I walked farther and farther from the amp to see how far the wireless would work, but interestingly, before I got too very far at all, (perhaps 40 yards) the delay between what my fingers were doing and the actual sound hitting my ears was enough that it completely scrambled my brain's ability to play, because my brain kept trying to synch my hands with the sound it was hearing - which is obviously impossible, since the sound is coming some several milliseconds AFTER I actually played it. Another time, I rented a generator and took it camping, with my guitar and amp gear. I set up in the middle of this clearing in the Weyerhaeuser forests where we used to camp, and played at full tilt for a while. I don't know how many deer and raccoons were killed that day. =)

That was cool, man. I dig that whole persona ToddZilla has going. I bet his personality is larger than life. Noticed the impedance selector on the JCM was set on 4 Ohm, (2 X 16 ohm cabs parallel) I would think you'd it set to 8 ohm. Maybe you switched it before firing it up. Just an observation. Great video brother.
Toddzilla is a great dude and friend. He's super nice and every day he makes me die laughing with some form of shenanigans. Didn't notice the impedance. I was distracted! In full film maker mode. 😂😂
