  • This is the install of the European headlights on my 2015 Ford Fiesta ST Mk 7. The headlights are aftermarket OEM and are fairly decent quality, especially for the price. They do require some repinning of the headlight connectors and taping into the fuse box. The fuse boxes are different for some of the different model years, so do research if yours is not a 2015. The rest of the install should be exactly the same.

    Thanks, I picked up these for my 2016 FiST. Only problem is the right DRL dims when I brake. I’ve double checked the connections and am stumped. Otherwise, I love the look!
    UPDATE: turned out it was my LED brake lights somehow interfering with the DRL. Switched them to incandescents and problem solved.

    Sick mods!! Love it! The DRLs are a massive upgrade. Curious, does the LEDS have a white light (like an HID)?
    To help make the job easier for the pin removal Amazon has pin removal tools, I don’t need a set so I can’t speak to the ability/quality, but may be a good thing to add to the tool arsenal.

      The LEDs have a nice blue tint. The perfect amount of coolness in my opinion, looks like how new cars are today. I’m sure a pin removal tool and a proper terminal pin crimping tool would’ve helped too. But I was able to make it work with minimal tool!

    Maybe a dumb question but you just mentioned low beams in the video. Does that mean high beams won’t work for the new setup? Great video btw!

    You know why my led drl is always on even when I locked the car? They stayed on for at least 30 mins then they shut off. But at night they shuts off when I lock the doors. Day time they stays on?

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  3 месяца назад

      Could be that you have a different year of fiesta, in that case you might need to tap into a different fuse. The lights sometimes do that on my car. Since it’s tapped into something evap related it’ll stay on for several minutes but it’s pretty intermittent and hasn’t drained my battery.

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  4 месяца назад +2

      @OutlawProductions525 The one thing I failed to mention in the video and I apologize is that there is a different fuse box between a couple of the model years. If you are a 2016+ you would likely tap into the F26 spot in the fuse box and not F20. Hopefully that helps.

    Did those terminal pins slide in and lock without issue? I have the Dorman brand that is linked on the forums and they appear shorter than the oem ford pin.

      Yeah it’s a bit of a squeeze especially with that wire, but they are locked in. The ones I have linked in the description work great and worth trying.

    Hey man, can you tell me what exactly adding that pin does? I followed your video exactly, and tapped the same fuse. But my battery went stone cold dead over night. The car has always been fine until now. Can you let me know if this could be a cause? Please and thank you.

      @NoahGaebel  11 месяцев назад

      I followed the forum directions that I have linked below in the description, on at least the 2015 fiestas it’s tapping into one of the evap systems. You might need to tap into another fuse.

      I went with some basic H7 bulbs for a bit but went back to a cheap amazon led bulb. The led bulbs always fail after a few months so a standard halogen bulb might be the only reliable option.

    Is the fuse tap required to get both low/high brightness DRL? With this fuse tap will it automatically switch between the two modes depending on whether the headlights are on/off?

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  Год назад +2

      There is an easier way you get the led strip to work. And that is to just move the pin to the top right and not adding a new one. When you follow what I do the DRL is automatically always on and will dim when the headlights are on. It’s completely seamless the way I have it set up. I’m not sure if the easier way will work similarly

      Hey I'm just getting around to doing this now but have noticed my 16' fuse box looks different than yours.. F24 is Ignition Coil.. Is that the same as emissions? Looks like it was just renamed. These fuses are also Micro 2 sized

    @Noah Gabel great video and install. Couple questions please:
    1. Were the Depot lights actually Ford branded OEM or aftermarket? How long did it take to ship internationally?
    2. When the high beams are on, are the low beams on as well?

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  Год назад +1

      They are aftermarket OEM replacement, it only took a week or two to ship internationally. I believe the low beams stay on when the high beams come on too
