I wasn't expecting this video to make me cry but seeing you notice the way Louis held himself back in those years, and hearing you keep asking what was wrong with him and being glad he's got a chance as solo artist really got me.

@@thatswhatshesaid7718 Label and management forcing him to act a certain way instead of being himself. It's clear to see how he suddenly started thwarting all of his natural automatic behaviors and body language, where he'd naturally be doing something and stop himself as if realizing oops that's too flamboyant I will get in trouble I have to switch to the approved behaviors I have been taught. He was all charisma and then suddenly started looking like an actor trying to play the part of straight boy next door but since it wasn't natural for him he didn't act the part well so it was always unnatural and awkward. They stifled him and it is so painful to watch.
Zayn is under-looked a lot of the time because his personality is hidden a lot of the time when the cameras around and I think that has a lot to do with his anxiety. I have social anxiety too and I can relate to him so much on that level because I don’t show majority of my personality when I’m out in public and I think say a the same way, in some other settings that you see him in you can see a lot more the type of person he is, I think he’s very genuine ❤️
Yeah I’m the same too like when I’m in public or even friends I’m usually quite quiet and shy but when I’m at home I really come out of my shell and show my true personality and the things that I love and that’s why I really love the fact Zayn became a solo artist because then he could decide whether he wanted to do something like concerts or interviews because it made him uncomfortable or that he preferred doing things as group but the schedule was too much for him
@@madisonbusby1457 honestly I don’t blame him at all and I feel like only a person with social anxiety would be able to fully understand why he had to leave. I definitely wouldn’t ever be able to handle being famous, just the thought of anyone even knowing me or watching what I’m doing is terrifying so I understand why he felt overwhelmed and had to make these decisions for himself for when it best suits him so he’s not putting himself in situations that he’s going to be anxious in ❤️
@@madisonbusby1457 and exactly the person I actually am is completely different to the person most people see, even some friends don’t know my personality all that well because I get anxious around them sometimes too and end up just not talking because it stops me from saying something stupid lol so it definitely is a shame that people have a perception on zayn that isn’t really him xx
@@taya9502 yeah like even when we can trust them we still don’t show like our true selves 100% because we are almost afraid that if we be our full selves they may not appreciate it. My friends are very different to which is nice because we share things that we are both into but then like when it comes to music or tv we have different preferences like they like rock music and anime. I’m not the biggest anime fan and I listen to some rock music depending on what type of rock

I think Louis definitely has a lot of depth to him, I agree when you say he has a lot of sides to him he definitely has so so many layers. I find him so interesting, he’s sweet, caring, very loyal and genuine and then he’s also witty, very sarcastic, goofy, he doesn’t take no bs, if he doesn’t like the way someone acted he will speak up on it, a lot of the time he’s messing around and having a laugh and then he can also not be interested in the cameras and he can be quite quiet. I think he’s very complex and there’s a lot to him but he’s definitely a good person ❤️

I think management really took a toll on louis by this point. There is such a dramatic difference between him in the video diaries, versus here. To me he just doesnt seem like his full self, and like he's kind of holding back. I personally think management's strong hold on him and how he can answer things, is why.
Always using that management excuse. Maybe he's just human and like the rest of us, he has off days. Not everything is about or because of management. Y'all just keep beating that horse to death. Get off it

@@hieronymousblack3364 of course he's human and has days off, everyone does. However, being in a boyband as big as One Direction does take it's toll. Liam himself talked about how he needed the band to stop, because of his mental health. Management arranges everything, from their daily schedules till the media presentation, so indirectly, management would cause that effect on everyone's mental health.
On top of that, Louis literally sings in one of his songs: "I run out of energy of playing someone I heard I'm supposed to be".
Their management did create an image they had to uphold.
All that being said, of course it's still possible he had an off-day during this interview, but don't underestimate the consequences of growing up in such a famous boyband.
@@better_vibez every management is shitty. That's what they do. It's their job to keep things flowing and under control. Not saying it's right or OK. But it wasn't some evil plan or that they chose to target these guys. That's management in any workplace in the world. People can't keep using management as the cause of everything to do with these guys.

its mad how even someone whos not a big fan realised how louis personality changed, one directions management heavily monitored them in interviews but especially louis and its evident in interviews like this that hes analysing how the managements reacting to his answers etc :/ so glad hes not with modest management and syco anymore!
He worked with same management for years, he would have never decided to go there again if that was the case. I think there is high possibility that this attitude change is due to the toxicity spread by major set of fans, Larries on his gf, baby, family or maybe he just had off days, who knows. As he openly admitted this many times. Management was bound fulfil their responsibility to caution them, if boys are not comfortable. As that's what management do. It's their job to keep things flowing and under control. They created and lead the biggest boyband in the world, it's not easy for anybody. So see the bigger picture.

Only people who are too immature to comprehend what it must be like to cater for the biggest boyband in the world can hate on the management, especially the assistants team that's been all over them for 5 years non-stop, no weekends, no day off I'd imagine, not being home for months. But Louis actually left Syco a year ago and he left Sony Music in March, so he's fully indie now. Watch his livestream on weeps, there's like 20 minutes documentary it shows his status now :)

You should watch Harry on stage, you’d be able to see soo much more of his humour, his relationship with fans and even more how personal he is with his fans it’s one of the things I love most about him. He will literally take so much time out of the concert to have individual conversations with people in the crowd and then later on in the show will continue to check on those individual people and use their name ❤️ he really is so genuine and just genuinely cares and wants to have a relationship with him fans without making it so that he is on a pedestal, same with Louis he’s very genuine, down to earth and just a very normal person that doesn’t want be any more important than anyone else, Louis genuinely sees each of his fans as friends of his and treats them that way too ❤️

Honestly, Louis was probably just exhausted, you can see it in his eyes. They had press interviews ALL day back to back with hundreds of different publications/interviewers. And many of these interviewers are asking literally the exact same questions, so he is probably really bored too. You can tell he doesn't like to sit still and he even said he was bored waiting backstage when he first walked on. The press for this movie was just a lot of sitting and waiting which is not fun, I can imagine, especially for Louis who has a more energetic personality.
It’s not just this even in album interviews u can see he can’t focus his gaze or make eye contact while answering he just changes a ton from his younger days n while as a child u should get easily distracted but he was very focused n made eye contact in interviews while younger than after more maturing

I'd love to see you react to a Zouis (Zayn and Louis friendship) compilation because they had such a close bond in the band and really brought out the best in each other, with Louis bringing out Zayn's fun and mischievous side, and Zayn bringing out Louis' more calm side. They leaned on each other a lot and were partners in crime!

@@harryspeace6316 because harry was on snl and made a joke? it’s really not that serious. this is exactly what i’m talking about. people like you buy into the conflict so easily. there is no audio or video of zayn saying that. written interviews are easily taken out of context or parts can be made up entirely. even if zayn didn’t say he never talked to harry, there becomes a million headlines about it, so if harry doesn’t know either way, but reads the headlines, it may as well be true to him. also he doesn’t mention harry because 1, people actually asked him questions about louis so he’d mention him, 2, he’s seen the supportive comments liam’s put out so he’d feel comfortable mentioning him, and 3, niall is the least controversial, so the headlines that come from him mentioning niall won’t be a big deal. as far as his ex bandmates, the last one he’d have a reason to talk about was harry. also from my perspective, he always seemed closer to the others anyway. you are looking for issues that aren’t there
Yolanda was in that interview with him when he said that , which makes me think there is something else going on between them and Yolanda is trying to protect Gigi reputation.i have a friend in the industry and she said everyone knows about them and are keeping quiet about it.but it could just be industry gossip .

@@manihazaffar when Louis was asked about Larry in Twitter he responded in a tweet with " Larry is the biggest load of 🐂💩 there ever was I am happy with Eleanor why can't you accept that" and when Zayn got asked about Zarry he responded in Twitter with " I'm dating Harry" he followed that tweet with talking about how much he was into Harry and why - all those tweets are still on Twitter so Is very obvious who Louis is in love with Eleanor he made it very clear in that tweet and who Zayn was in Love with he also made it very clear plus all the stuff in my above comment and how they still coincidence in their songs Harry and Zayn like they are answering each other, Zayn also said once that he picked a song because it reminded him of Harry this was around the time he wrote the song "I won't mind" while in One Direction and is about and impossible Love that he cannot talk about it but he messed around with this person Harry and he says in the song they are who they are when no one is watching, it a forbidden Love for Zayn that he cannot talk about and interesting enough Harry then wrote Medicine and he says " I messed around with him and I'm ok with it" they were really into each other and Zayn more for Harry and it shows

Louis and Zayn were the most loud and outgoing lads during their fetus days but they were gradually quieted down by their management,had to deal with lots of pressure,were overworked,were underappreciated,were forced to play certain "roles" allocated to them....they were really broken along with the rest of the boys💔

Louis became more silent in later years.. he was maturing too. May be that's the reason. Zayn and Harry were very close tbh! It shows in their stage interaction too ..but may be after him leaving the band they fell out. Zayn isn't particularly very close with anyone from the band at this point. But he and Harry were really close.

- Harry and Niall's dynamic is just something else, they're absolutely hilarious on their own but together it's even better. I think they have kind of a similar sense of humor and a lot in common in general. They're my favorite friendship duo in the band.
- I love the Zayn and Harry appreciation everytime, their friendship warms my heart, and I agree with you.
- Louis was definitely quiet in this, he doesn't seem to be in a great mood, you can see he doesn't wanna be doing the interview at that moment. Considering all the interviews they had to do there are always gonna be some when they had bad days, or maybe he was just tired idk. Liam carried their interview here that's for sure.
- About what you said about Harry and his fans ; his tour started yesterday and in the merch store they were selling hats with "Harry is my friend" written on it. Just thought I'd mention this bc this is so cute.

My guess is that Zayn admires Harry so much bc Zayn feels like an outsides, watching the dynamic instead of contributing, and Harry also tends to exist outside of that dynamic but in a much more comfortable way (lower conformity need), Zayn maybe holds back bc he doesn't know how to fit in, doesn't feel like he can but Harry occupies his own niche, is comfortable and accepted by himself and by the group withought needing to be one of them. Zayn wants to be seen by Harry bc he feels like Harry can understand him in a way maybe the others don't pick up on, probably also bc Harry makes an effort to see and recognize people for who they are, and if Zayn feels like an outsider that recognition has got to feel so good

I love how you noticed that Zayn and Harry 💛💚 were very close to each other it's true, they were the closest ones at the stage, the interviews they were just hanging out while the other were playing around even when zayn left the band Harry was talking to the crowd instead of playing with the boys. But unfortunately now Zayn said that they never really talked in the band which isn't true but we don't know what happened maybe bcs of the management or bcs Zayn's leaving was very painful to Harry so he fights him who know 💔

When Zayn left the band he said that him and Harry never really talked. Which is something I don’t believe because of their body language and the way they act around each other. I think Zayn and Harry are best friends And they really care about each other.
I remember when Zayn was struggling with his eating disorder Harry left the word Weigh out of a song called little things. I think he did that as not to trigger Zayn.
In terms of Louis I’m wondering if management told him something that made him mad right before they went out to do this press conference.
I think he only said that because they were actually pretty close and he didn't want either of them to be hounded about their relationship after he left. He said he didn't expect much of a relationship after that so that people would not ask anymore.

Same , I totally agree . I felt that they are both emotionally closer to each other and that's why management made Zayn say that about harry , harry probably supported him and his decisions , look at the videos from 2014 they both look upset and harry used to stand closer to him . So I'm guessing management wanted harry to receive the hate along with Zayn just bcoz he supported him . I loved their friendship :/

@@fezahkeishe4533 Yeah thanks. I only joined the fandom in Feb 2020 and there was a real lack of Liam comments on 1D content videos, so I kinda went over board. I calmed down now 😊
So Max- when Zayn left the band, he said "I never really spoke with Harry". After watching you analyze these videos, I too see the admiration he had for Harry, so I wonder why he said that later on.
Also, I love your love for Niall. He has been my favorite since the beginning :) And when I met him briefly, he was very personable, engaged in what I was saying, and seemed really thankful that I was there to meet him. Really humble guy

my guess is that because of how close they were, it probably hurt their relationship most when Zayn left. The closer you were, the worst the fall out is (hence the zouis fight and zarry shade)
zayn said that he never really spoke to harry, but whilst in the band they would always be together and laughing about something (usually on stage) while the other three were entertaining the crowd, zayn also said how harry was his rock, and they were constantly complementing eachother. still not sure why zayn said that when it’s obviously not true

They mean Joe Cummings. He tweeted that he hung out with Harry right before Zayn left the band and that Harry knew and was very upset about it. This was a shock to people because before that tweet everyone thought that rest of the band had no idea he was leaving. It ties into the theory that Harry and Zayn were more than friends whilst they were in the band.

I do believe that Zayn and Harry we’re really close during the band but he also had a real like brotherly relationship with Niall. Zayn has recently said that out of all the boys music, Niall’s was his favorite & has said multiple times even after leaving the band that he feels like a big brother watching Niall, & that he had even phoned him telling him how proud of him he was. Liam’s interaction with his fans is also very special, I feel like he carried the whole fandom during the pandemic with how many livestreams & videos he did singing and interacting with us. I don’t know what was going on with Louis, maybe he was just tired or just wasn’t having a good day. A lot of ppl spoke how it may have to do with the management and that could be true, it is known in the fandom that he didn’t really like it and tweeted when he finally got out of his previous management & plans to create his own. "I always dreamed of having my own label, having an imprint never really worked for me because I still had to have someone else's blessing to sign people, People I believed in massively but unfortunately didn't fit the traditional pop role hence never doing the deals” -Louis. Also he recently had a free festival this past weekend where he had two other bands as well as I believe a DJ, he also plans it to make it an annual thing with it being held in a different country each year :) He kept thanking the fans saying ow much he loved us and how we make him feel invincible. Louis is really very down-to-earth and friendly. God how do I start this without crying… I already cried enough today because of him.
Ok so, god I don’t even know if this’ll be enough to explain it but, Louis is the best person on earth, to put it simply. He’s so so so lovely and kind, so friendly, so family-oriented, so smart and thoughtful. Wants the best for everyone.
On Monday he did a completely FREE festival because he felt like the fans deserved to enjoy live music after so long. Who does that?? He paid from his pocket for everything, the fans only had to show up (there was a limited capacity obviously but everyone who went had to show proof of full vaccination/negative covid test).
He told us that he was nervous before going on stage but the minute he saw us it all went away. He kept repeating and I quote “I just fvcking love all of you”. He told us we make him feel “fvcking invincible” whenever he’s on stage. His smile whenever he looks at the fans and hears them singing along just says everything! He has that look of pride and love, as if he knows and loves us personally? Like we’re his best friends. I don’t even know how to explain it..
And just today there was a livestream of the full concert (HD) AND a mini documentary. In the documentary he’s so, I guess vulnerable. He can be very self-deprecating, he’s very insecure when he need not be. He’s just so honest, but always expects more from himself. He showed lots of anxiety during rehearsals and before going on stage. He’s not at all afraid of being vulnerable, you feel like. He’s not afraid of showing moments of weakness and talking about dark moments in the past. Louis has been through a lot, and I don’t wish the kind of pain he’s been through on anyone, but he never ever pities himself. He’s always so positive and HOPEFUL. That’s something I really admire about Louis. He’s very strong and caring.
I have so much more to say but this is already long enough and I don’t think I can put into words what Louis is to so many people. I feel like everything I wrote is an understatement, and no matter how much I try no word will come close to hinting at what I feel towards him. I just have so much love and respect for this man. He’s my home, my comfort, my everything. The best person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing of. I wish him the amount of happiness he gives me. I’m already sobbing my eyes out so yeah, maybe that’ll have to do for now.
This comment turned to a whole breakdown I apologize hahaha. Louis does things to both my heart and mind that I can’t even control what and how much I talk. If my vision wasn’t getting blurry from the tears I probably would’ve lost myself even more and wrote a whole research paper on him. He’s a very complex person yet so simple. There’s just so much to talk about when it comes to him.

100000% agree! it was the first time ever i saw him live! first gig after all these months in constant lockdowns. At THAT festival! I can't explain how grateful I am! and few days later he let us see the behind the scene and I cant do else that love him even more...
Harry really does pay attention to people when they’re speaking to him. He looks people right in the eye and you have his undivided attention. That’s just good manners.
It would be so cool if you reacted to one of their performances rather than their interviews. It's really fun to see them completely unhinged and in their element. It's always super chaotic and you can really see their authentic personalities shine.

Why did “I’m telling you, man, Zayn loves Harry!” make me WEEP
this was a pretty 'bad' era for the boys in a mental state. Mainly for Zayn, Liam and Louis. I mean, this was also one of their busiest years and i think Harry and Niall could handle the touring and everything better. But like others said, the management was horrible to them and they were doing WAY too many shows and touring far too much, while also doing a movie and recording their album.
We need more RUclipsrs like max, he always has a positive outlook and such a calm and relaxing presence, I could hear him talking all the time!

Louis seems on guard. To me, that's how he comes off as here. He's looking around all over the place, sharing his attention between the boys, talking to them in whispers, but it's like he's waiting for something to snap. Like there's another shoe to be dropped. He keeps checking the room, the boys, the room again, and he seems to be unfocused when a question is directed at him, giving short answers, which is the complete opposite to how he is; Expressive, open, and ready to jump at the chance to joke around. Here, he looks tense, uncomfortable maybe, and on guard. And I have no idea why.

I think Louis is all about the people that's around him. The first interview that you watch it was just him and the camera. The second one was with the fans, and he was completely open and comfortable, just like he's when the dynamic it's with the boys, when he's around that kind of love and comfortability he let his guard down completely, and I just love that
The energy Harry and Zayn have been carrying in the interviews reminds me of my friend and I. Even though we don't have a lot of common things, we still care about each other a lot and feel when something is mentally bad even without words. I'm not comparing our relations to Zarry's friendship, it's just a notice

There are a lot of people who have met him and said that he gives people all his attention , his generous and lovely . They also mentioned how he looks in people's eyes while talking and likes to make sure everyone in the room is comfortable and I think that's such a beautiful thing to do , like he doesn't need to do that but he CHOOSES to do it 🤧

I think all of the boys have a special charm than makes them different from each other, talking about Louis, I think part of his charming it’s being genuine, if he feels great he is gonna funny, sweet and goofy, but if he doesn’t feel like it he’s not going to do it, and I think that’s great, he doesn’t try to put a face in camera.

Love these reaction! All of the boys do have a brother relationships to each other and they all were very close. Harry and Niall always had kind of a cheeky fun relationship but they truly love each other. Louis always saw Niall as a little brother ( everyone kinda did ) but especially Louis and you can see that a lot when they two are performing together and just how Louis takes care of Niall. And then Louis and Liam are still til this day BEST FRIENDS! they have loads of “lilo” compilations of RUclips of them just mocking each other and being just besties! Of course there are other friendships as well in the group but those stands out the most. We have Louis and zayn but it’s a little bit messy since Zayn left because they were the closest ones. And also Louis and Harry but I think we all know the “Rumours” and their friendship got messy after that I guess as well but on earlier videos you can se a lot of both of these friendships being superior!

Love your analysis. I feel like all these guys are charismatic and intriguing. Plus I think there’s a vulnerability beneath each of their personalities that’s so endearing.
I think during their fetus years Liam probably didn’t gain as many fans as the rest, because he just seemed to be strong, capable, confident… like he didn’t need anyone. But their core fan base are female teens, so it’s probably not a great aura to exude in a boy band, because I imagine that in essence (to the fans) it must not have seemed like he needed much Florence Nightingale-ing (if you get my meaning).
Nevertheless, Liam’s always been the one covering questions when none of the guys wanted to, he’s just open and engaging in interviews, which is actually unusual to me, as most stars are quite candid and careful in interviews.
But still there’s something that intrigues me about Liam, it’s like there’s always something personal underneath that remains unsaid or remains hidden. Like no matter how much he says, the other half of the story will never be revealed.
You should react to the Away From Home Festival Documentary! It basically just came out. So interesting to see how Louis is behind the scenes, what he thinks about perfoming and everything.

I really like that you also aknowledged Liam and how good of a speaker he is. I also feel like he's really caring for the others. He senses that Zayn and especially Louis didn't really want to talk that much on this day, so he just took over for them and just answered it himself instead, so that they didn't have to be more uncomfortable.
