  • Domestic violence is where abuse is used to maintain power over another. The common denominator is how we have been trained to think, our double standards, and programmed thinking.
    Scripture: Job 2:1-10
    Sermon: "Man's Unproblematic Problem"
Rafting Creek Baptist Church | 10AM Sunday Devotion | 10.06.2024
Welcome to Rafting Creek Baptist Church where we are "Growing a Church with a Redemptive Purpose." Thank you for worshiping with us!
    1. Job 2:9-10: His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die! He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
    2. The Bible is fortified with examples of women being given the value of insignificance. In Job, we find that man is praised but not the woman; the Book overlooks the wife. "Mrs. Job" is living in a male-dominated society where she has no power.
    3. We, as a society and in the Church, must change our attitudes and our behaviors. We must start treating everyone with respect, dignity, and genuine love.
The Rev. Melvin Mack is the pastor of Rafting Creek Baptist Church, located in Rembert, SC (USA).
