How I clean giant puffballs

  • Basic demonstration of how I clean a giant puffball mushroom. Most important part is to check the root where it attaches to the ground to inspect for bug damage or old age. If you want nice, even slices for breading and frying, make sure to use a long, sharp knife.

    Hey! Personally I use the thinnest guitar string to cut these. Works like a charm.

    Why is this a puffer mushroom?
    Because they are filles with the dark smokey pores...
    This doesn't have any puff puff inside..... Why?
