    Usually, when you see people riding at events like this, they are either scared of riding the bike or scared or seizing it.
    Your father was clearly none of these and one heck of a rider.
    I'm sure you're very proud of his legacy and so you should be. Thanks for sharing this great footage.
    RIP, Sepp.

    That was a lot of fun to watch, You're a solid rider Sepp. You were reeling in the otrher riders all over the place but it seemed it was a lot harder to collect the riders in Hockenheim against the superbikes. You had to grind that out a lot more:)

    This video was a kind of Christmas gift to my father and our
    friends... I never expected more than 50 (fifty)views.
    We can't repeat it, because he passed away last summer (f**ing cancer) ;-(

      @@TZ500J Christian I'm so sorry about your Dad - I didn't know that. It's a Facebook page called Classic2Strokes - I know the followers would love this video - your Dad could certainly ride a bike. I'll make sure to link back to the RUclips channel as well. Thanks again.

    How does one acquire a classic Works GP bike for personal use?

    • @TZ500J
      @TZ500J  6 лет назад +4

      It's not a works bike, it's a production racer. The last 500cc PR Yamaha built.
      THIS bike was raced from Sepp in 1982, in German, European and World Championship.
      After he stoped racing, the bike was used for another 3 years from other drivers, than it disappeared... After 25 year we've got a call, that the bike was in a 2 Stroke Collection, and it's for sale... So we bought it back :-)
      Including the manuals and some handnotes from 1982.....

    That is a 2 stroke symphony! Nice riding sir I just have one observation.
    1:57 On approaching the double left Corners before the long straight away. It looks like you clipped the first corner apex but then completely missed the second Apex and we're out too wide. You probably wanted to miss the first Apex to clip the second one, which would have put you on a better exit. 👍

      Flying Lap Productions
      Thx for your comment :-)
      Cutting the second would be good, but it's sooo bumpy there and the suspension is already on (over?) the limit....

    i think this is an inline 4 as well very uncommon

    • @TZ500J
      @TZ500J  5 лет назад +2

      You're right, it's an inline 4, with the outer cylinders reversed. It was the last production race Yamaha built. This type was produced just in 1982, 110 bikes were built....
      At the moment we do a technical video to show it more detailed...
