This video was a kind of Christmas gift to my father and our
friends... To keep this weekend in memory. I never expected more than 50 (fifty)
views.
We can't repeat it, because he passed away last summer, 70 years old. (f**ing cancer) ;-(

Two strokes!
My first bike was a 2 stroke mini bike in 71. It was 2 stroke and had a clutch. Out ran all those Briggs & Straton 4 stroke boys. Next bike was a 74 YZ80 then my father took myself and my brother to the motorcycle shop where we picked up a Honda CB175 for my brother, a CL350 for me and he picked a Suzuki GT550 triple for himself. Didn't take long before I was riding the 550. Loved that bike. Later in life I picked up an RD350 and did some mild mods to it with the idea of racing it. Then kids got in the way and it just sat there. It was a joy to ride but I finally sold it.
That smile at the end. I know that feeling and feel good for the old guy to get to experience that feeling once again. I'm yearning for it again myself. Maybe a Tenere is in my future.
I was 20 in 1984. at the time I had a RD 400 Daytona Special. My buddy and I lived for our bikes and riding hard. We'd watch tapes of the Kenny Roberts, Randy Mamola, Freddie Spencer of the world rip it up on the track and then with our 20 year old live forever attitudes we go out and pound the shit out of series of country roards we use as our personal racetrack. Yes it was stupid but GD FUN I tell you what. Anyway the TZ 500 and 750 were our dream bikes and after all these years still are and the reason I'm here. Man I miss my 400...and my youth for that matter....oh and that buddy, we're still friends and we still hang out all the time.
Yeah man, I had a KH400 and an RD 350. Did the same, I used to launch them off a hill created by railroad tracks and tear up the back roads.

Yup, Sounds just like my life. Lived most of it with my ass in the saddle of numerous rzs rds tzrs nsrs rgvs etc. nothing like terrorizing the San Fernando valley on a wed night with a bunch two strokes, stopping at in n out burger, then pickin up some blonde valley girls for some real in n out. Yes the 1980s were great in los angeles

2 stroke bikes are still my all time favorite till today if compared to the model 4 strokes!

Nothing like the two stroke monsters. It seems to gobsmack so many riders today to understand how explosive the 500cc two strokes really were.
Here in Asia we still got 150cc 2 bangers on the street on daily routine.it beats almost all the new 250cc so called race bike .I can't imagine how a 500cc would perform.

Que bueno llegar a esa edad y poder difrutar todavia de esa adrenalina que producen este tipo de competencia . Solamente al escuchar el sonido de las maquinas dos tiempo me acelera el coracon . Yo tube un llamaha yz 125 cc y difrutaba de ese sonido en competencia .
No me tocó esa época pero me siento orgulloso de verlos tan felices montando esas verdaderas máquinas.

In the past, as i was young, i Ride a RGV 250 on track and a RD350 ypvs on the Road. So much fun.

For us here 125..135..150 cc are more common.they are called smokey for a reason.they SMOKED so called 250 race replica bike ...even ktm rc390 won't be enough to beat them on the stright

それは生産レーサーTZ500Jであり、OWファクトリーバイク（例えば、ケニーロバーツとバリーシーンから）との違いは、電子YPVSの代わりに機械式であり、アルミニウムの代わりにスチールフレームでした。

Got to be a dream ride because as far as i know Yzr 500s werent for sale for tech reasons....so to hsve a v4 2 stroke nothing was in it weight class as far as fun was considered...an steering it around a track....u turn ur chin and the bike say oh thst way ok where now.....
It was the last 500cc production racer Yamaha ever built...
Such a shame Neuteredheim! I used to love this circuit it used to produce really exciting racing, for me anyway, but now it just doesn't invoke any emotion whatsoever. 😞😞😞😭😭😭😭

Used to drag a DS7, then RD350, just bought an RZ250 RR 48 HP 125 KGS. Do the sums, then add the 2 stroke factor.... Yep its quick..
