for those who are clueless at 5:14..just right click > select inverse > alt+backspace or alt+backspace depends on your foreground colour..I dont know the easiest method and hope someone will teach us soon and I think this will helps =)
Unlike many other so-called tutorials out there which are actually show-offs (often with annoying background music) I found your channel is the best around! Thanks!
people having the 5:14 problem in video. CTR+SHFT+I= Invert/ ALT+BACKSPACE= Fill Black.....Also he doesnt say that you should start with white background shown on the copy of (red) channel so make sure the copy is selected.
Thank you a lot for that! May I ask, I use mac, and I tried with command+shift+I but nothing happens. Do you maybe know why? Also, is there a long way to do that - without shortcuts? thanks a lot!
how did u erase the smoke at 1:30? ive been trying to use so many different methods but im stuck . u should put the shortcut keys u use in your vids it would be a lot less confusing. NVRMND i figured it out . great video by the way
Thank you! Currently doing a final piece in photography where we can’t use anything other than our own photos and photoshop, the first two are really useful to me.
This video was so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to show all of the different ways - it was so great to see all of the options to be used for different projects. I'm beyond excited to subscribe to you and see more great tutorials. Thanks!
Pal, you have made make a positive decision, I'm a photographer who's been toying with the idea of composites for a while, now I'm stepping into full STEAM ahead. Love fantasy and mystical, so I'm looking forward to this, thank you sir!
I Have the same question! When i press Alt + Backspace its turn the area in black no the outside! Edit' press Shift+f7, u need to press Shift+f7 after Alt+backspace
Damn!!! No kidding???!! I have been trying to use the Aerosol (mist) in the can with NO success and now I see your AMAZING tutorial!!! OMG!!! Thank you SO, SO much!!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾📸📸👍🏾👍🏾📸📸👍🏾👍🏾📸📸👍🏾😊😊😊😊
Hi, this was a really well explained tutorial. Can you please also explain how to do moving smoke effect in photoshop? Like for a steaming pot of food, or cup of coffee. Thanks in advance 😊
Very cool man, loving your videos and your great at explaining the step by step process. Make complicated tasks a lot easier for a beginner like myself.
I like the 1st option BUT my software doesnt have that brush option to erase directly after you added the Layer Mask. I had to use EraserTool to clear the smoke, now the Opacity is too light at 100%
.. for some reason I'm not able to get that cloud selected properly from the red channel copy [select RGB > Alt channel copy] .. gess I have to check on some more tuts. by you about that .. :)
btw, there's an ansert below: To invert the selection press shift+ctrl+I To fill with the background or foreground ctrl or alt + backspace. Hope it helps.
I do not know exactly what is the step to do when converting the cloud in black and white and then the negative to make the brush. What are the commands? cmd + shift + U? 6:12 cmd + shift + I? I have tried several but it doesn't work :(
Hi Vera, First you need to convert cloud into black and white with cmd+shift+U. Then to invert it with cmd+i and that's it. Then you can make a brush out of it. Hope that this helps.
OMG Thank you Thank you how awesome, and thanks for sharing and helping us newbie's.. QUESTION when your cutting the small cloud out to make the brush, you go a little fast and I am not catching what your saying, Ctrl, ? J...... is it ctrl command J , I do not have command on my key board Thanks in advance
