- I test out the all new 2024 Sea-Doo RXP-X 325 person water craft from Mountain Motorsports. With 325 HP on tap from its 1.6L 3 Cylinder supercharged engine with Launch Control and Carbon Fiber, this Sea-Doo is an absolute monster on the water. In this video I take out the RXP-X 325 for some performance testing and race it agains the new Sea-Doo GTRX 300.

Back in 2004, 05 my father had a Yamaha GP1200R Millennium Edition and he was always upgrading the thing to make it faster. With both us on it.. we got 73 MPH, Now these Jet Skis are insane. My father passed away 7 years ago to Cancer. He would've loved to see these machine's. We went on Jet Ski Rally in St Augustine Florida back then. It was fun

Wait till you ride a modified one. These are so fast, that sea-doo put a governor/limiter from factory. Currently the Only way to tune these 325s is with FuelTech computer.
Thought all supercharged skis have limiters

You gotta hit up Calas Performance. He can unlock all the power on this unit. With just a tune they hit 86-87 mph, and with a Calas Cam they hit 89 - 90mph

I have 11 hours on mine it does need a tune though, I have a nano and hits 80mph with limiter removed. I will be doing a tune sometime

That jetski needs a tune before competing in the stock class.

We had a 1993 Seadoo XP 45mph was the fastest ski available at the time. Wow have times changed.

I have a 2013 Yamaha VXR and FZS 180 and 230 HP and they are pretty damn fast, can imagine a newer one with 325hp 🤩💯
I used to own jetskis like 15 years ago. The last one i had was the Yamaha GP1300R 2007 with some nice Riva tuning parts. It was very quick at the time.

Not that it's slow, but I thought it'd be quicker. Doesn't look like the water could be much better for testing. We used to have an rxt 215 back when that was the fastest you could buy, and it was advertised at 0-50 in under 2 seconds, and I don't doubt it. Wish it had this seat back then.
I broke some 61 in my day but wait 1970s early 1980s I had a 1977 trans Am I got a 455 SD out of a 74 trans Am running 11 to 1 compression b&m quick quick shifter Dana 12 volt main rear end centerline wheels

They are limited from factory to like 67mph But once you put a fuelech computer they are hitting 86mph without touching the motor.
Calas World YT Channel did an episode with one with a fueltech a few months ago hitting 86mph stock

Fast is fun but gets boring after awhile, would love to feel that acceleration once though ....

Yamaha for comfort, Sea Doo or Kawasaki for speed. BTW, Kawasaki owns the Jet Ski trademark, an interesting fact. The neutral name is personal watercraft (PWC), but I guess most people use jetski as a generic trademark.
Yamahas are the fastest pwc’s out there. A 100mph sea doo isn’t heard of. 100+ mph Yamis are quite common. The speed record was just set at over 140. No seadoo can do that. The seadoos are usually little quicker when new. Kawasaki skis struggle to hit 80mph with all the mods, they are built for rough water. That is where they reign supreme.

If only SeaDoo would find a better solution for their shaft seals. The carbon seals fail too easy and then your nice ski sinks. They should use the Yamaha design, no such issues.
That only happens to casual riders that don't know how to do proper maintenance.

Listen to this man when he says the water brake will send you flying......😂 Last seadoo I owned with water brake it was fun to hit it goinf 50ish and get splashed. I did that on the days old rxpx 325 and the ski stopped completely but my body kept on moving at the 50 mph until I hit the water lol. It took me a second to realize what had just occurred. Note to self, the seadoo "brake" is really an ejection button. Is there a way to lesson the brake intensity. It's pretty violent.

The older rxp x seadoo was rated to go 0-50 in 2.9 seconds. There's a vid where it raced a Ferrari.
