Vika... you are the ONLY person I know who feels the minimalist beauty in those opening notes by Richard Wright. I know you felt them too, because you chose to end your rendition with them, as well. Excellent performance of those moods. I loved when Richard played the grand through the Leslie, but I didn't miss it in this non-effected performance.
Echoes is not a "cosmic" song. It's very internal, and this is exactly what this performance reflected. Wonderful. ...and I like the boots. Nice touch.

I loved this song since it was first release. The soundtrack go the first time i got high in 1973. I just recently thought of trying to play it on keyboards and I've been having fun for a couple days trying to come up with exactly what I found on this video - A powerful solo piano version. Lovely.
