- This is certainly my favorite Floyd song, which is to say it's one of my very favorites among everything ever. I'm still not fully satisfayed with this version, it has some mistakes, but I decided to stop promising to make a better one and just post it. The recording was made live in Ponta Grossa, Brazil, on June 3d, 2016.

Essa é sem dúvida minha música preferida do Floyd, o que quer dizer que é uma das minhas preferidas dentre todo o resto. Ainda não estou totalmente satisfeito com essa versão, ela tem alguns erros, mas decidi parar de prometer fazer uma melhor e finalmente postá-la. A gravação foi feita no Centro de Cultura, em Ponta Grossa (PR), em 3 de Junho de 2016.

Congratulations on capturing the essence of Echoes. I used to think that Floyd’s middle-era tracks would never be covered by other musicians, but renditions like yours show that their music lives on and will live on. Echoes began as a medley of disparate parts (hence the album name), yet as your interpretation demonstrates, it coalesced into a glorious whole. Rick Wright produced several outstanding masterpieces, but in my opinion Echoes was the greatest of all - with contributions of course from Gilmour, Waters and Mason. It is a hymn to Life on Earth.

@@rockaopiano I agree!...although 'Shine On' gives it a run for its money! If I could take one track with me to a desert island, it would be Echoes. In fact, if I took Echoes to a desert island I'd never want to leave!
It's also my favorite Floyd song, and my eyes really got wet when I heard this ... wonderful performance!

This is just absolutely fabulous. Echoes is maybe the one masterpiece of Pink Floyd, a "song" (if we can call it so) I know so well and for so long now, and the way you manage to make it live again with the only piano, with the beauties and subtilities of the original and even with some more, it is quite a sensation. Any chance you would do another version of echoes with improved quality? I’ve listened to this version so many times and would love to here a “fresh” version of it, played by yourself 😄
There are already two other versions shared here, one of them with a better audio. Still, the three versions I posted were recorded live, none of them is perfect... but I really like the last one, which is even the current highlited video in my channel.

O processo pra chegar com esses registros no streaming é bem burocrático, por serem versões. Eu pretendia gravar todo "Pink Floyd ao Piano" num CD duplo o quanto antes, mas como isso é bem caro, agora vai demorar... mas um dia consigo. PS: tem uma gravação melhor dela aqui no canal, postada esse ano, gravada ano passado em Floripa! =)
