Something that I've noticed in this chapter that said something to me was the verse, 24. When God told Laban, " Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad." I immediately thought of Proverbs 18:21, which is the tongue has the power of life or death.

Also one question I am confused about, so if Laban saw that Jacob has taken all the speckled animals does that make him a liar.

Jacob was trying to usurp God's plan by doing some sort of ritual with the branches instead of waiting on God to prosper him. I'm not sure what you mean by him taking all the speckled animals making him a liar, since he was supposed to be able to take all the speckled animals as part of the deal.
