✏ ABOUT
I am just a regular girl who loves Jesus and studying the bible. I have no formal training in the word (which is probably clear from the videos lol). Study the bible with me as I make videos using my bible study bullet journal. Having a bible study journal has helped me learn how to get closer to God. I use my Christian bullet journal as a way to learn more about the word. The bible study videos are typically women's bible study videos, however all are welcome here. I also post a new video every Friday on a new chapter of the bible, starting with Genesis 1! Study the whole bible with me as I learn more about God's word, chapter by chapter. I cannot put into words how beyond GRATEFUL I am for this channel and amazing group of believers that support and share feedback with each other. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♡

I think it would be nice if you are creating a Bible Study for the whole Bible. It would be great! Because this will be a guide to others who are still starting their Christian Life and are studying the whole Bible.
Please don't stop doing these studies. I've just subscribed and now doing catch up. These are wonderful and so helpful ❤❤
I won't no worries!❤️ Thank you for watching 😊
I know I’m 2 years behind lol but I’ve just started reading and studying the Bible. These read-along videos are helping me SO MUCH! ❤ I feel like we are just on FaceTime chatting about these events and doing a deep dive together! 😊
Awwww yay! Never too late! We are only in the book of Judges, you have lots of time to catch up :) I'm so glad you enjoy the videos, my intention is for the viewer to feel like they are chatting with a friend. Thanks for watching!!🙏🏽😊
me too, I started a few months ago!
It's so funny you mention that you feel close and that we are going through this together because even though I am catching up I feel the same way. I now get so excited to read the bible and then watch your videos afterwards to help me understand and break down each verse. Love it and don't stop!!
Yay! I don't plan on stopping. Thank you for watching!😊💜
God bless you! Thanks for your summary and perspective!
I believe God changes peoples name as a way of saying “ you no longer identify as who you used to be ( In Jacob’s case, a deceiver) but who I (God) say you are”. We as Christians are no longer defined by our past because we have been reborn and transformed. We are made new.
I liked your family tree, thank you for your perception of the bible AMEN
So glad I found this channel!!! You are making reading the New Testament so much easier for me ☺️
2/4/23 (Saturday)❣🥰Thanks for sharing your thoughts & feelings with us. "Close Friends~I'm In Agreement🥰❣
I just looked it up. "Jacob" means "supplanter" or "deceiver." God changed Jacob's name after he fought with God. “Because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome” Gen. 32:28. Still after that happened, Jacob is sometimes called "Jacob" and sometimes called "Israel." I'm not sure why that is.
Okay that makes sense. I just heard in a sermon yesterday that God would sometimes refer to Jacob as Jacob rather than Israel because he didn't fully give up his sinful actions. Very interesting
i think the just as Jacob struggled so does Israel struggles but always finds a way to won because God has favored Jacob and so will god always favor Israel. just my thoughts
Also I wanted to share some cliff notes from the bottom page of my Bible!:
-El Bethel means God of Bethel
-Allon Bakuth means Oak of Weeping
-Jacob means He Grasps the Heel (Hebrew idiom for ‘he deceives’)
-Israel means He Struggles with God
-Bethel means House of God
-Ben-Oni means Son of my Trouble
-Benjamin means Son of my Right Hand
I love what you said about change. When Jacob told his family to get rid of all of the foreign gods, I wondered why did he allow his household to have these foreign gods. But when he said to change your clothes that signified changing yourself. I also looked up what Rachel first-named Benjamin, she originally named him Ben-Oni which means son of my trouble but Jacob renamed him Benjamin which means son of my right hand. I just found that to be very interesting and cool. Finally, in my bible, it says in verse 23 he heard that Reuben slept with Bilhah. Which has me wondering what were the penalties that Reuben had to face? Plus how old is he because wouldn't the age difference between Reuben and Bilhah be very significant or is this like a normal situation?
Jacob wisely changed Benjamin's name just as he made the change in his heart toward God. It sounds like even though Jacob followed God, maybe he didn't lead the greatest example of God to his household as they clearly had false idols. Reuben and Bilhah probably had a significant age difference. I think that goes back to the poor example of Jacob in front of his household. They're a hot mess lol. BUT God uses Jacob in a mighty way so it gives me hope that He can use anyone!❤️
The penalty that Reuben had to face was in his blessing from his father. Instead of getting the firstborn blessing as he would have normally received in that day and age, his father passed him over because of his behavior.
I so appreciate that you do this for all of us. It is helping me to grow so much deeper. Thank you 💚
You are welcome ❤️❤️❤️
When they said they must be clean, and change their garments; These were but outward ceremonies, signifying the purifying and change of the heart. What are clean clothes, and new clothes, without a clean heart, and a new heart?
Yes! We are all close friends here!
🥰🤗
Your honesty in not being sure about a point is refreshing and encourages me to check into the topic for myself. Thanks for the sincere diligent effort.
You are welcome 🙂
Thanks so much, I really enjoy and love this
I'm here for this journey. 🙌
That flow chart with Jacobs family tree is a great idea.
As I read on I start forgetting and get confused on who is who.
This works great for someone like me who’s ADD, 😂

Awww you're welcome! I'm so glad to hear that❤️
Love it, so great to have someone to study the whole bible with, thank you and God bless.
God bless you, friend!
Hi, didn't they changed Jacob's name because when he wrestled with Jesus or God, it signified the wrestling men do with deciding in doing good or bad in this world. Even with all this, GOD will always with us. hope that help, this is just my thoughts.
Thankyou 🙏❤️
Hi! I I love these bible studies! They are so helpful and it feels like I'm with a friend! God bless you!
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos. Thanks for watching, friend 🙂
Also, I was a little upset to see that Dinah was not mentioned in this chapter, after what happened in the last one.
@@DEJA.DIGITAL Same just shows the different times and the matriarchy of the time
This really is awsome!!😍
Thank you!
You mentioned not being sure about why Deborah's death was brought up. My study material mentioned that it is possibly because Rebekah sent Deborah to be a nurse for Jacob early on. It is also possible that she was sent with Jacob so that she could report back often about how Jacob was doing after he had left his home. I'm thinking she played a significant role in Jacob's life
That makes sense. Thanks for sharing!
ahh thank you so much for this! I have been doing two chapters a day, sometimes three if I have time, but I love it! It takes about two hours for two chapters, but it's worth itt! I feel like your our study budy lol
Hey study buddy! Love that lol thanks so much for watching!💞
Wasssssgooooood bujooo
Heyyyy 👋🏽
Wonderful video, once again! I have been reading the Bible along with your videos each day and I can see it bringing me so much closer to God and His word. Thank you so much for what you do 😊❤💜
Also, I wanted to mention that it says in my Bible that Reuben slept with Bilhah as a play for power with his father. Like, saying, I got what you had. What are you going to do about it? In other words, it was kind of a threat or rebellion against Jacob.
I was also super confused as to why the names Israel and Jacob are use back and forth...
Also Rachel dying remind me of when she was barren and she told Jacob to get her pregnant because she was jealous, and if she didn’t have children she would die and then she dies in child birth…idk if there is a connection but it’s jus crossed my mind
I watch a video somewhere saying that the change of name happens for Gods blessings to come. The blessing don't reconiz your old self and you won't receive them at that time
Hey hunnie remember when we read about changing his name to Israel, when Esau was coming to see him and he sent his family away…and he was alone and it said a man start wrestling with him…I say this to say why did they mention changing his name to Israel twice ❤
Rebekah died shortly after her nurse. In the original Greek it implied her death by words like Allon Bakhut (Allon-Bacuth) which pretty much translated to weeping for another. She died from depression really.
Hello!!🥰I would like to know what Bible verse that says she died from depression, or cause of death?
Isaac lived a hundred eighty years old
God changes names because if you weren’t such a good spirit when you were (John) your new godly character is (Joseph) . So Jacob was a deceiver and austral is supposed to be the better side of Jacob. That’s just my take on it ! Love your studies ❤
why did God change names? From my studies, I've found that God changes names of people as a way to show them now walking within a new identity or His identity for them. In the case of Abraham and Sarah, that name change was a piece of the covenantal promise that God made with Abraham that, much like a marriage where the husband and wife adopt a unified name, God was giving a piece of His name to Abraham and Sarah. Aspects of God's name from the Hebrew, YHWH, was added to their names to show that He was a part of them/with them: Abram becomes AbraHam, Sarai becomes Sarah
Yes! Thank you!
Change of names - new beginings?
Yes very true!
Maybe Jacob was referred to as Israel in that moment because God wanted show how he redeemed Jacob because Isaiah 43:1 says But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
God changed his name because Israel means father of many nations and God promised him descendants that would be as numerous as the starts in the sky.
Yes ❤️
I feel like this video was all over the place :/ it was hard to understand, sorry.
It wasn’t hard to understand whatsoever. Rewatch please.
@@aminigbadudoh109 it was hard for me, specially since english is my second language. How about you have some empathy?
