The OLED kamikaze hack is even more annoying than this as it requires the trace to remain in perfect condition and it's so small you might accidentally bump it off with the soldered wire.

Wanted to offer this service for the iPhone 14 series but the cost it would require to complete the job is not what too many customers would be willing to pay Best part, it would be cheaper for them to buy an actual physical sim version versus buying “eSIM version and then convert to sim version”

Will it require modifications to the board/frame? If so, will it retain the ip68 rating after the modification has been performed?
I guessing this is what happens when phone is stolen and turns up in China (unsure how they get past the activation lock on the 14 or higher phones, still got my phone roaming around in Romania and getting the scam apple messages to login to remove the activation lock)
The chances of breaking is very high too many costly and sensitive parts to parts needs to be changed And also need to change the oem battery that is a deal breaker if this was have to do it it has to do it on the large scale then only it's a sustainable model

I guess this is for educational purposes because the labor is certainly gonna be more expensive than just buying a non-US iPhone.

Scraping the PCB layers though layers to disconnect the eSIM trace really remind me of NS OLED kamikaze hack

Is the signal working like eSIM?
We only converte the eSim to Physical Dual Simcard, and it will not work like eSim
