I didn't know for an Intel motherboard it wouldn't boot up if its separated. Boot current only goes up to 60mA. Is this because the EEPROM is on the signal board?
Hi David, while there is nothing to do with EEPROM. The Intel motherboard once sperated, it wouldn't boot up only with logic board, n boot current remains 60mA.
@@samiabe8686 the values are in the circuit diagram. you can download the free Rewa eçschema called: REFOX. In this software, they take care to put the circuit diagrams and the values
Can someone explain: He found C2649 faulty and then he ticked it off? Am I missing something here? Did he run boot test before soldering a new c2649. I just saw he took/tick it off and then he was done ✅
Starting at 10:47, after removing the c2649, he took care to measure the diode value from empty pads, so he found that the value was normal. Which means that this problematic comes from c2649. So he replaced the c2649 and then tested

Other than that, you can use thermal imager, while rosin smoke will be one of the most cost-effective and efficient way base on experience.
