I stumbled onto your channel looking for Redcat Ascent info and this is seriously one of my favorite channels to watch now! Really enjoy your breakdowns and run videos!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the feedback! I was pretty new to RC with some of those early videos so they are far from perfect but glad you enjoyed and what Info I tried to give was helpful.
Thanks for the comment! The suspension is as it comes right out the box. Haven’t done anything to it except some brass on the axles to add a little weight. I’ve been happy with how axial has the shocks so I just left them alone.
Thanks! Well I’ve already put the brass pieces on but other than wheels and tires, I’m not sure how much more I’ll do it. The bumpers need trimming but I’m gonna run it for a bit like it is to see what else I’ll need to do. Thank you so much for watching! Greatly appreciate it!
Thanks Torka! There’s a lot of rubbing on the plastic bumpers so probably replace or trim those, the brass, motor and esc are already done. Not sure how much else I’ll do. Probably some lights, we’ll see lol
lol yes sir, I have too many hobbies. I’ve been playing for a looong time, been in a lot of different bands and that was more than a hobby for a lot of years too. About 3 of those amps don’t work anymore. Need a lot repairing.
@@NEO-RC I just sold my last guitar a week or so ago, Martin DX Special w/hard case and a Fishman 60w amp, gave my Les Paul and Marshall to my Daughter
@ those Martins are awesome, the acoustic you see by the amps is a Taylor but a budget one, still sounds great though. Glad you the Gibson to your daughter. Keep that in the family, they’re almost an investment item.
The base camp is basic model. The differentials (front & rear) are always locked. You can’t switch from locked and unlocked like a TRX4. It’s does look really good though and with a little weight added down low on the axle, it performs really good too. Hope that answers your question and Thanks so much for watching! 🤙
Rpm sells a cage/mount for the mamba X and it also has a mount for the switch. Like 13 bucks. Worth it for protection on that expensive of a esc.. Did you program it?
Oh really?! I’ll definitely have to check that out! Thanks for that info!! I did program it. Holmes Hobby has a great video on the settings he used and since it’s a Holmes hobby motor, I went off that. It’s okay, not real good super slow, has some trouble with the initial motor turnover. Definitely a better esc for speed it seems right now.
I’d like to go to axial fest one of these years. It’s in Colorado right? Yeah you guessed it, I’m going to try and dually the Atlas and put the wrecker arm/winch on it. I’m going to try and do a video on the dually options because it’s hard finding dually wheels in 1.9 size. Those are wheels are from RC4WD. They were half off at the time so I tried a set. Usually $150 a set, they were still $75 so still pricey even on sale, and they’re not beadlock wheels either, you have to glue the tires on which sucks. There’s a better option that I’ll have in the dually video.
@NEO-RC dude, I think there's four. East, West, Badlands, maybe another. I camp and trail crawl all over, and I crawled through 4 states this year! CO, UT, AZ, and if course NM. I'm going to White Sands Missile base in a couple of days. 3 hours from homebase! Haven't seen many rc videos out there. A few. It's mind-blowing 🤯
First, congrats on getting a 10.3!👍
Secondly, I like the wheel tire combo with the Ascent tire and bronze wheel.
Thank you so much! It’s definitely a solid crawler. The bronze wheels do look good. Appreciate the kind comment!

Awesome setup man
Thank you sir, works pretty good 😊
Pretty nice v2 I like the changes to the body and wheels
I’m not a Toyota fan but I thought it’s one of the better looking bodies out right now. That FMS Land Cruiser LC80 looks nice too lol
Nice suspension setup on that base camp. Love the flex.

Oh nice! I figured you might of even relocated the shocks. It has some great flex. The brass weight sure does make it flex nicely.
@@CHINGONOMETRICOTE yeah the extra weight on the axles does help the flex and keep it a little more planted on the terrain.
Can't wait to see the build process!

Very nice crawler is an awesome performance😁✨️💪
Thank you Fortes! 🤙😊
Nice Neo! Congrats on the new rig.
Thanks Dungeon, just a solid basic rig.
@NEO-RC yah the they works pretty well have a few in our group
nice RC car
Thank you again 😂 😊🤙
Nice, im sure a bunch of upgrades are on the way.

Nice 👍🏾💯
Thank you sir, nothing really custom or anything like some of yours killer rigs.
I’m not a Toyota fan but that is a cool truck 🤙
I also noticed that awesome selection of Amps Marshall TSL, Marshall MG, Fender and Hughes & Kettner oh my😳
I’m not a Toyota fan either but it’s one of the nicer looking bodies I’ve seen and it would look really good next to that new FMS LC80.

Does this one have a lockable differential? Looks really cool😃

Did the cold air make your body shell brittle and crack when it tumbled??? I hope not!
Not so far but I haven’t had it out in the real cold yet. It was high 20’s that day I believe. It like 8 deg right now
I want an axial so i can go to one of the Axialfests next year. Are you making the Atlas a dually?? You are!!!😮 where do I get a set? I won't tell...😅

@ oh dam, okay, I’ll have look into it more. Nice, I’m still a single parent so just day trips for me mostly.
@NEO-RC eHarmony! Worked for me.. no, really! Wife tells people she found me on eBay! 😆
@ I’ve tried the online dating thing, never starts or ends well. I’m fine being single lol
Low gears it's for
