What does the Dominant 7or 9 sharp five mean, I mean what does the 7 or 9 or 11 or 13 represent/ stand for? Is it 7th,9th,11th or 13th fret, I know it is not fingers or strings these numbers stand for something and I can't find anybody to tell me what they stand for. I have seen chord shapes that had either a 9,11and 13 beside them like eg: I'm making this one up G#7/Fb13 what do these numbers mean?
The meaning of the word 'dominant' in a 'dominant major 7' chord can be a bit confusing for beginners (or may be even intermediate players ;)). I finally found out recently that the main reason for this is that the term 'dominant' does not communicate any information 😂 Because the term 'Dominant 7th' is synonymous to the term '7th', I'd like to propose that from now on we stop using the term dominant ;{
I'm underrated for saying this. (Accept my statement as I'm not actually complaining, I'm just stating how I see it.) I search on how to make emotionless music, but only get opposite results, and honestly, it's kinda rude. It's like typing in vegan restaurants and they brag about meat. It's like typing in Gospel music, and getting something satanic. Just giving me zero search results would make more sense. Why you trying to sell me opposition.

But seriously, emotionless music really emphasizes on the intellectual side of music. It may not make you feel much, but it will make you think.
