If you are replacing the touchpad you don't need the whole frame. There are 2 screws on the frame just loosen them then you can take the touchpad out. It's not molded unlike the keyboard.

Is it possible to replace the keyboard backlit ribbon cable other than by replacing the whole keeyboard ? I see there is a replacement part for it but i am not sure if it's for that exact same MB model as the one in this video. If anyone knows, a reply would greatly appreciated. Thank you !

Which of all the cables is the one connected to the webcam? I've been trying to fix a connection problem and I'm not sure the webcam is plugged correctly since I recently changed the screen and wifi/bluetooth adapter.
The better solution is to get an external webcam, sure, but I'd like to retain the portability aspect of the machine without slowly transforming the laptop into a tower lol

I just upgraded my RAM from 2x 8GB to 2x 16GB and added new 1TB SSD. 3 O'clock there's 2nd SSD slot for additional storage if you're not looking to replace system SSD. Very helpful teardown. My DC power cable does not seem to connect correctly with my DC Power Jack of the laptop so it will intermittently not charge. The laptop switches modes when it loses power connection so it is a real pain. I'm going to order a new DC Power Jack for this laptop and see if it connects correctly (and not intermittently) with the DC power cable. Wish me luck

don't spread your thermal paste all over. Make an x and add some dots in the gaps, but don't overdo the thermal paste, it's not good to have it leaking around in your system, and if you do it like he says and spread it all around it's going to leak into your components.
