How do I take out the previous HDD on the computer? Because if I install another one than I’ll have two hard drive disks I only wanna keep the new one so how do I remove the hard disk drive that came with the computer? I need help please.
That would be the m.2 ssd on the left side (when the battery is at the bottom).
You unscrew the old m.2. Ssd and insert the new one.
However that way you would need to install everything from scratch.
If you want to copy the old ssd you will need to install both first and clone the old one to the new one. For example with a free tool like macrium reflect.
@@Hubwood so the hard disk drive is under the battery?
@@Hubwood I’m just trying to take out the old HDD drive and install new one but idk where the old is at
@@BananaYT im showing the place of the old ssd at 3:16
@@Hubwood not ssd I want old HDD
Do you have to install this? I recently bought this laptop and the ssd came with it and I'm scared to harm anything
You don't have to do anything. This is about upgrading a SECOND ssd or hdd
When i was purchased this laptop the hdd sata cable connector not come with this
hey man I have a question for u. I am planning add hdd to my computer. I already have 256 gb ssd. I worry about if I add hdd my computer will be slower or stb. Is there any problem with that? @Hubwood
Are you planing to use the hdd als system drive? Or as a second drive? What will you store on the hdd? Games? Or just files and data?
@@Hubwood I have 256 gb ssd on my laptop. I am planning add hdd to M1 slot. Probably I will store games. If i use hdd and ssd same time is my laptop getting slower? I don't have too much money. So i thought if i buy hdd i can store 1tb. which one is better, 400-500 gb ssd or 1tb hdd?
Hi, nice video. Just two simple questions. I've ASUS TUF A15 (8 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD + 4 GB NVIDIA 1650). I've an empty slot for RAM, and an empty slot for 2.5 inch SSD / HDD but no slot for 22 mm x 80 mm SSD. Is your model different ?
Second Question, you are inserting a 2.5 inch SAMSUNG 500 GB SSD, but the slot on the motherboard says HDD. Is there any kind of issue if we insert a 2.5 inch SSD as you did. Does it have a difference or side effect?
Might be different!
In terms of the ssd you need to make sure it's a slim 7mm ssd. 9mm could be a problem (I'm referring to the thickness)
My father bought a tuf a15, but it didnt come with mounting screws and the adapter
Hi bro i want to buy termal pad i dont know which size i should buy for tuf a15
2:21 Don't do this. Instead, flip the laptop closed. Put your fingers in the hinge well, hooking on the bottom, and pull up. Repeat on the other side and release the center (by the screen area) then pull up from the center (that you've just released). It will pop open no dents, no tools.
it's safer but if you are experienced you can do like in video.....
I would like to upgrade this laptop to 16gb, Could you recommend a good ram stick to me, i have no idea what to look for!!!
What's installed right now? 2x4gb?
1x8gb?
@@Hubwood 2x4gb
Are these cables common? i.e. can i use a similar asus cable of asus x515?
I don't know. The cable should be included. If not I posted a link in the description and pinned comment.
Hello, what cable for connecting the SSD? Model of the company name? could you report this information? with respect to you
