Strange. I have the same car, with the same engine (it is 1.4?). Those are durable engines, and can go hundreds of thousands of km without internal issues. The bad side of the engine is that it is weak and uses more fuel then expected for only 75 hp.
BTW, on my Sandero from 2009, the headlights have a lot of small cracks (but it is still air tight) and they have faded a bit. Should I polish them, to remove the fading (and improve the light output), or will polishing maybe make the cracks even worse?
Hi, I have the same problem on a 1999 Ford laser. I suspect a stuck Open or Closed thermostat as fan does kick in when heat starts to rise above normal. Could you possibly indicate where the thermostat sits, as i have so many people tell me top and bottom. So is it the bottom hose or the top one.
A thermostat's location differs from brand to brand, model to model Ford lasers are normally at the top radiator hose, but remember Ford and Mazda had alliances when these models came out so you may have a Mazda or a Ford engine in yours.

Hi. Please advise. Is R55 thousand for a 2012 stepway reasonable? It's a private sale. 210K on the clock. Gauteng. My current car is 1999 Daewoo Lanos 1.6 with 300K on the clock, driving it about 9 years. 😂🙏🏻
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790mine is 2010 united. How can I take out the heater core. I bypassed the heater core because it was leaking causing steam to block the windscreen.
It sounds like the water pump has to be replaced, also the radiator has to be dismantled and the core thoroughly cleaned by a radiator repair firm like Silverton.

Good day, I have a 2014 Renault Sandero 0.9 turbo. I found that the overflow bottle has a mixture of oil and water inside also it was boiling and that the mixture was sipping out of the bottle. I checked the dip stick and engine oil cap which had no signs of mixing. What could be the problem in this case?
OHCH hope to see the video on the repair, Thanks Gary
Please make a video as your fixing the overheating problem thank you
Хвала!
Thanks I have a similar problem with Sandero 2010 Expression pack, please tell us more about compression and how to fix it
Will do.

Thanks for your insights, I agree, these are great engines, but if any car is neglected it becomes crap.

Polishing the headlights will only help to enhance the headlights, I do not think it will cause any harm.

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Thank you for the information.
I know its a B3 engine, if that helps with the location of the thermostat
Hi Gary just wondering if you did the repair for the sandero that had a blown gasket

It does sound reasonable, but it would depend on the engine, body and interior condition, mileage and service history would also be a deciding factor.
What year is this and what mileage
2010 model with 180510 kilometres.

The Dashboard needs to be dismantled to reach the heater core, it is not an easy task.
How can I remove the manifold
Which manifold, the intake or exhaust, both have a multitude of bolts that needs to be loosened so it could be removed.
Same overheating problem but it doesn't overheat as fast
The fan doesn't kick in. Could it be the same problem?
Possibly, it could also be a sticking thermostat, also you have to pressure test the cooling system for leaks.
Mine overheats now but only after driving fast, fan kicks in though and it cools. If i drive long distance its terrible

@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 thank you for the reply
I'll get that checked
Are you from around Epping?
Maybe you could be my mechanic😅
I wanna do a timing belt change early next year
I am in the Diep River area
the oil must be in the overlfow bottle
Same problem
How to replace
