  • In Wilcom embroidery software, the "Auto Start" and "Auto End" points are features that help control the beginning and ending points of the stitching in an embroidery design. These points are essential for ensuring a smooth and clean start and finish for each element of the design. Let's explore each of these features:
    1. Auto Start Point:
o The Auto Start Point is the designated point where the embroidery machine will begin stitching for a specific element or object in the design.
o By using the Auto Start Point feature, you can instruct the software to automatically determine the optimal starting point for the stitching, taking into account factors such as the design shape, stitch direction, and overall efficiency.
o This feature is particularly useful for minimizing jump stitches and optimizing the embroidery process, as it helps the machine start stitching at a point that reduces thread trims and improves overall efficiency.
    2. Auto End Point:
o The Auto End Point is the point where the stitching for a particular element or object in the design will conclude.
o Similar to the Auto Start Point, the Auto End Point feature allows the software to automatically calculate the most suitable endpoint, considering factors like stitch direction and design geometry.
o This feature helps in minimizing unnecessary jumps and trims at the end of a design, resulting in a cleaner and more polished finished product.
By using Auto Start and Auto End points in Wilcom embroidery software, users can streamline the embroidery process, reduce thread trims, and enhance the overall efficiency of the machine. It also contributes to better design aesthetics by ensuring that the start and end points are strategically chosen for a more professional and polished appearance in the final embroidered product. Keep in mind that the availability and functionality of these features may vary depending on the specific version of the Wilcom software you are using.

Thanks for going over this. I was looking for how to set the origin point. Most video just go over where the needles starts to sew and where it ends on individual elements. Being able to set the origin to a specific edge helps so much when wanting to line stuff up. I find it odd that Wilcom doesnt call this orientation point or anchor point considering when you want to edit an element it has start and end points that are easy to edit where this is completely separate and has its won drop down. Thanks again for the video! :)
