as a french 306 1.9TD from 1998 driver with the xud i can say that this motor is a beast, it got less power than the HDI but the throttle response, the aggressiveness and the sound of that motor at high rpm's makes it one of the best TD motor you can have, it's easy to build something out of it, super strong motor that can't break, a beast of a chassis. The little + is when you have that car with the norwest options, the car sits a bit higher and has everything packed in it, you can literally go to some closed mountain gravel roads and beat a suzuki x90 and a range rover v8 supercharged lmao
Started my 306 in the garage that wasn't a good idea since she's screwed to the balls. Now my lungs are like I've been smoking for 50 years but it was worth the cool start up
The HDI was more economical but the XUD is sounds way better and you can't kill them either even when they have dead glowplugs. You just need a good battery.
I prefer the xud day to day to be honest but i currently drive two diffrent hdis and we have an xud in the garage at the moment. Not the one in the video though
a can of butane lighter gas is always a good thing to keep with you when you run diesels especially old diesels i have always found it better than easy start, use the sprayer from a old deodorant can
You should always wait for the glow plug symbol to go off too before attempting to start.

I like your cars, good sound, reliable, cheap to maintain, keep it up!

Its the probably the finest diesel engine ever made.

running with lowers batteries can damade your alternators, should re-use others ones from "recycling" which not also dead
Satisfying!
What did you do with this? My aunts 306 sat in "garrage" (just a barn door and concrete walls) for 16 months and started after six turns... XUD9TE
Tava girando pessso?
All 3 of them are Diesels nice
Fazem troca de bateria as vezes funciona com no sinhá
Think you need to learn the basic priciple of a diesel engine before you turn a key. Need compression fuel and heat = start
Holding a burning rag near the intake works wonders.
Très bien les 306
