Appologies for this video being in 1080p rather than 4k. I filmed parts on my new phone and didn't remember to change it to 4k. Future videos will be back in 4k as normal.
Yet again another professional video from you and not much waffle on the unboxing of the BOX 👍 I’m impressed with the locomotive’s quality and details. Thank you David
Nice video. I have 31128 with the headlights instead of head codes. Definitely another great Accurascale model. I think I may be the only one who has one of these running on DC because quite frankly I can’t afford it😂
HRM... Nice easy to watch video, Accurascales Brush 2 is a great model, I have one that's sound fitted, No.31432, for our NW themed layout as this loco worked the club trains to Manchester amongst other duties. The 3D printed crew are advertised by Accurascale as press fit into the cab seats, the driver was, but the second man with leg up on the desk needed a spot of black tack up his backside. Impressed with your channel so Subscribed. All the best Steve.
I hope this helps... I never saw a 31 in Plymouth.or Cornwall myself, but they were regulars on the Barnstaple route. And I clearly remember riding begun one on a train from Paignton in approx 1980. The hornby one was superb. Let's hope this and other recent locos don't start to rot like many other manufacturers have found with Chinese products...not limited to hornby
Ive got hornby detailed versions rescued from mazac, whether or not they were prototypical ill probably run them around 😂😂 Great video as usual mate, and the tunnel scene really looks brilliant.
@@HorsehayRailwayModeller very brave mate. I did a few practice locos before I started the shelf. Once I've a few more bits finished I'll be able to have more space for practicing with my airbrush again.
@@HorsehayRailwayModeller what do you use to strip it? I did have a Hornby 31 that I tried to strip back someone's dodgy paint attempt from but it went right back to plastic, ended up getting new body from eBay but can't complain, 2 super detaileds for less than £60 I think that was... 2 years back now... Wow 😳
Definitely sounds like a Jamie Goodman sound file, all coughie and spluttery. I do like it, the head code boxes look great and the side detail is we’ll pick out. Just shows, mazak apart, how good the old Hornby version was though. Not massive difference, the Bachmann one is also a great looker👍
@@Shelfandtabletoplayouts00gauge I'm really impressed with it all. I think the main difference between this and older models are the finer details and running characteristics. The older models definitely still hold up though.
Just a little note the crew in that guise drove the green era locos, You needed the crew that Accurascale advertise as deltic crew, I drove these in the seventies and crew uniform had changed.
Thank you very much, I think I'll leave these in for now as you can hardly see them but in future i'll use the more modern uniforms, i thought the other uniform accurascale offer for the 31 looked a bit too modern but hadn't thought of looking at their other loco crews.

@@carllawton9520 glad you enjoyed the video. I just try and make videos I would enjoy watching... I tend to skip the longer unboxing videos
I have 31402 sound fitted. These 31s look and run wonderfully. Nice review, David.
Thanks mate!
such a lovely model! I cant wait to see their other livery options for it, but it sounds phenomenal!
Thanks for watching! yeah they have a few good looking liveries but if its anything like the 37 im sure there will be more in the pipeline

@@stevieb9699 thanks very much for watching and subscribing. I hadn't realised they were press fit and tend to use black tack or super glue
Another excellent model by A/scale
Wow your viaduct scene looks amazing.

@@_RandomPea hey, so long as it moves and looks good that's all that matters
@@HorsehayRailwayModeller can't believe you spank £300 on a loco and then dive into weathering! Looks great... 🎨 I'd be too scared I'd cock it up 😂

Hi, great video. Where did you get the viaduct from it looks fantastic
Hi mate, sorry I missed this comment. It's two wills kits combined. Full video on the channel
That viaduct is brill. Who makes it?
@@saltspringrailway3683 it's two of the wills kits combined. Full video on the channel!
The actual 31s were heavier than a Deltic.
