    Performing this repair on your own will void the warranty of the product. Do it at your own risk. It's a risk worth taking for me because the warranty for my vacuum has expired long ago.
    The function of the cliff sensors are to let the vacuum robot knows it's proximity to the ground so that it can avoid falling off a stair or step. I have wiped all the sensors clean and the vacuum robot was on a flat surface but my Xiaomi Vacuum Robot V1 keep saying "Error 4! Wipe the cliff sensor clean and move the vacuum to a different place" and it refused to operate. I did some googling and my research suggested that I should replace the cliff sensors. So I purchased both right and left sensor sets from AliExpress. Product link below:

    Thanks for video, it was a huge help when it came to changing the sensors on my roborock. Saved me a lot of time.
    It made me proud to repair my robot instead of throwing it away and polluting more. I also saved a lot of money by not having to buy a new one. Thanks!

    Thanks a lot. I was able to disassemble the xiaomi vacuum mop c1 model with these instructions to get to the cliff sensors. The disassembly process there included many more screws and more parts disassembly, but this video has everything I needed for success. Again, Thanks a lot!

    So I used you tutorial to get to my sensors but instead of replacing I simply remove the plastic covers from the sensors and thoroughly cleaned them. For some stupid reason they are not hermetic and fine dust finds its way inside. After reassembly the robot works like new and even cleans for a longer time most likely due to a total cleaning that helped it realize better when its not full yet. The plastic covers are easy to remove using my finger to unlatch

      @@YungYaw well I not only cleaned the plastic but also air pressured the sensor itself. Appearantly there was quite alot of dust inside... Very fine annoying dust.

    After I bought the sensors, I noticed it there is no need to buy them, you can clean the ones that you have without having to manipulate motherboards and cables. Just when you are able to unclip your sensors from the robot, remove the piece of plastic transparent , clean up with water, dry it and mount it again. You will save 30 euros , 30 minutes of work, and 2 weeks without your robot.

      Hi Pape Pin, thank you for watching my video. I created the video just to share my experience of fixing my xiaomi vacuum robot. In fact I tried cleaning the sensors too as suggested by the vacuum robot voice prompt but that doesn't solve my problem. So I have to replace the cliff sensors. After replacing the sensors, it solved my problem. Just for your info, I am not selling those sensors.

    • @YungYaw
      @YungYaw  3 года назад

      @@ValeevVadim Hi, did you get the cliff sensor "Error 4" message from the vacuum robot? My experience was only related to that specific error. If you get different error code, maybe it could be due to other part error. By the way, are you still able to buy the exact same set of cliff sensors for this model of vacuum robot? I tried to search and it seems there's not many people selling this sensor anymore. Just want to make sure you replaced the correct cliff sensor and those are working condition sensors.

    I've got an Roborock E4 with this very same error 4. One of the cables going to the top left sensor was deattached during a previous cleanup and cannot be reattach. Do you know if this replacement would work on this model? I've asked everywhere but haven't had luck so far.

    • @YungYaw

      It's interesting that the cable got detached from the connector. Will you be able to reconnect the cable or resolder it? At least you can check if it's the cable problem.

    • @YungYaw
      @YungYaw  3 года назад

      I haven't try before. But maybe the system will do a sensor test during start up. Thus that's why it knows some sensors are faulty.

    • @YungYaw
      @YungYaw  2 года назад

      Are you referring to the orange battery pack or the battery connector? There's no screw for the battery pack casing. But not sure if they have upgraded their process to add adhesive tape or not. If you are referring to the battery connector, there's a latch that you need to press and then pull out the connector.
