I was about to doubt the entire story, and then I saw that you’re a fellow Indian. I’m now certain you’re 100% telling the truth, wish I could have watched it in the same theatre!
Man, I never realized that the Batpod is made of the front two wheels of the Tumbler. I always remembered it just shooting out like it was fully formed inside. So fucking cool. Especially with wheels flipping so he can drift.
The triple awesome ness of 1.) The AI voice saying ‘goodbye’ 2.) The way the bike ejects and 3.) the theme playing simultaneously make such a cool shot. My favourite movie trilogy of all time.
I can't think of another movie where you feel like the villain is in complete control of the whole situation, even when it seems like he's been caught and it's over. You know it's not over, and all you can do is continue to get dragged along by him until he says he's ready to let go.
The production crew did some tests with Jean-Pierre [Goy], the stunt rider, on the prototype and put his cape on with very easily snappable ties, so that if anything did go wrong he wouldn’t get hurt. Then he got on the bike and the wind got under the cape and it never for a second looked like it was going to get caught. So they filmed it with the cape.
@@TheChromanoise Way of the Water was just rehashing the first movie. Same plot, same villain resurrected, different setting, new inexplicable macguffin. Only mildly impressive part of it was underwater filming technique and we have to suffer 3 more of these...

I just NOW realized that Batpod uses both front wheels from the Tumblr, I always thought it just uses one and the rear wheel is stored inside the Tumblr
The moment for my theatre viewing was when the trailer got flipped. Crowd cheered wildly. It’s a great memory. Then the showdown was like an homage to Burton’s film when Joker pulled out that massive-barreled revolver. Great scene!
The batpod(bike) stunt Is definitely out of this world, Nolan took it to the next level. Bale acting is very decent. Ledger performance is mind blowing especially in joker role. He should be in the dark knight rises too, it would complete the trilogy. This entire 4:25mins is marvellous.
I think Christian Bale played batman so well in these movies, plus his half motorcycle half weapon was awesome. I never expected a motorcycle to also be a weapon. Christopher Nolan made batman better than Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher. Especially with the villains. He should've made a fourth dark knight with Mr freeze.
The Batpod was one of the many reasons why I have come to love The Dark Knight, and undoubtedly was the movie vehicle we’ve all wanted to ride on ever since!
The Dark Knight - or any of the Nolan Batman films - has never been released with an Atmos sound mix. Either this is an automatic upmix of Surround mix from a theater system that has an upmix function (likely) that has somehow been captured, or its been created by someone unoffically.
The Batpod is such a badass vehicle. The exit from the Tumbler, the spinning wheel slide out of the alley, and the flip & turn against a wall. And of course the truck flip is just the icing on the cake. Such a brilliant film.
I've just noticed this now but it appears you've also fixed the jarring edits that existed in the original film, namely the shooting and crashing through the glass doors portion of the chase. Well done, as that always reeeeally bugged me from a film that's always called a masterpiece.
I still dont understand how Nolan thinks and imagines such scenes....So amazing...Batpod ejection, rolling tyres..way joker is acting etc...perfection in every scene...
Now that I'm older and watching this, as cool as it looks with the cape flying around, it's just hard to suspend belief that the cape does not get caught in the back wheel. At least if there was something covering the top of the wheel but since it's more of an emergency vehicle it wasn't made for capes LOL
I remember seeing this in cinema as a kid laughing enjoying the jokers terror until the Batpod was assemble and was kinda sad seeing the original Batmobile explode lol
@@thenorthremembers728 haha you mean the scene where Batman chases penguin for literally no reason and likely got several innocent people killed? This might be an unpopular opinion but the batpod is one of the best bat vehicles in the movies. The way Batman looks with his cape flapping behind him is just so badass

When he exits the alley and the bike rolls the tires to slow it self down and line up is just epic. Nothing more intimidating
I keep wondering all the work that must have been done for this scene to be achieved. Even if it's a 1s scene, that 1 second marked my memory forever

That “Goodbye” yo!! I remember watching it at the movies and the entire audience erupted in cheers with the Batpod ejecting. Good ass times!!!!
Omg the way ledger stumbles out the semi and fires a few shots made the scene feel so authentic

At least Batman’s lucky all this time he been using the Batpod, his cape never gets caught on the back wheel.
