Funny listening to random people picking what makes someone a Premier league legend. I've heard many people labeled a Premier league legend despite never winning it. Apparently one is not enough for some but none is. Also context Apparently doesn't matter.
I am a MAN UTD fan and firmly believe that it does not matter one Iota what Simon Jordan thinks about Klopp... What matters is what Liverpool fans think about their manager...end off...I sometimes feels that these hosts tend to put way too much weight oh their opinions.
Absurd debate. Context is everything. So my favourite player, Zola, isn't a premier league legend, just a Chelsea one. And I guess Ranieri isn't a PL legend for winning the Prem with Leicester. I'm by no means a Liverpool fan, but Klopp achieved against oil money. His legacy is still warm & City have 115 charges, why dump on Klopp in this way before he has even gone. I can see why he has had enough to be fair
Only an incredible legendary manager can score 92,97 and 99 points in the premier league. Because getting to these point totals all depends on YOU winning games that YOU are in control of.. Winning league titles half depends on OTHER teams dropping points in games which you got NOTHING to do with. Klopp Scored more points than Ferguson's BEST league winning points totals 3 times. Here are the top 20 points tallies in Premier League history: 20 - Chelsea 09/10 - 86 points(+71) 19 - Chelsea 14/15 - 87 points(+41) 18 - Arsenal 01/02 - 87 points(+43) 17 - Manchester United 07/08 - 87 points(+58) 16 - Manchester United 12/13 - 89 points(+43) = 14 - Manchester United 06/07 + 11/12 - 89 points (+56) 13 - Manchester City 11/12 - 89 points(+64) 12 - Manchester United 08/09 - 90 points(+44) 11 - Arsenal 03/04 - 90 points(+47) 10 - Chelsea 05/06 - 91 points(+50) 9 - Manchester United 99/00 - 91 points(+52) 8 - Liverpool 21/22 - 92 points(+68) 7 - Chelsea 16/17 - 93 points(+52) 6 - Manchester City - 93 points(+73) 5 - Chelsea 04/05 - 95 points(+57) 4 - Liverpool 18/19 - 97 points(+67) 3 - Manchester City 18/19 - 98 points(+72) 2 - Liverpool 19/20 - 99 points(+52) 1 - Manchester City 17/18 - 100 points(+79)
so its not about winning the league to you its about total points at the end of the season lol, at the end of the season if you are not first place the points tally means nothing, facts
@@clinton9769 You missed the point. Winning the league does NOT depend solely on your own performance. It depends on how badly OTHERS perform (and you have no control over that). Where as point Tally's are purely your own performance. FACTS. So yes trophy's are a very superficial standard of how good someone is (They can be the least useless out of a bunch of worse managers and win the title). But if you really want to get an accurate measurement of how good they are, then their performance is what you look at. And that would be points tally's.
@@themaharaniscloset will you not be so stupid a team could get a high points tally if the rest of the league isnt good enough, and if you look at the high tallies that liverpool has had only to come second for all of them except one well that just proves it, at the end of the season only thing that matter is what place a team is in and it is as simple as that
@@clinton9769 The ONLY time you are in total control of winning a League title, is if you win EVERY GAME that YOU play. If you don't, you will ALWAYS be dependent on the results of matches that you are NOT involved in (which means its NOT all your doing or under your control). Open your mind. Read this last sentence again.. Absorb it. Its a mathematical fact. City has been winning the league because other teams have messed up in matches city were not involved in. Same goes for any team that wins the league, unless they win all 38 games.(Technically that can also happen if one wins 37 and draw 1 it would still be 38 games under your control)
Nothing fake here....... I'm a united fan and have been since 1995. I lived near Dortmund for 8 years and had the pleasure of watching klopp's incredible revival of borrusia. The man deserved anyone who can bring Liverpool from decades of heartache to the Premier league title deserves the status of a Premier league legend!
Wenger went up against the most dominant team in united who have spent more money than any other club and Wenger still won the league 3 times during that period. Klopp has no excuse

Out of Ancelotti, Mancini, Ranieri, Pellegrini, Dalglish, Conte and Klopp who've all won 1 title, I would argue that Klopp is up there with Ancelotti in terms of overall career as well, maybe Conte.
Love Simon Jordans views, very smart man but I think he's missing one key point here, what klopp has done is so much more than just winning trophies, he's awoken a sleeping giant and raised the standards needed to win the prem alongside guardiola
Do you even context? How many of those nine years was he expected to win the league? Certainly not the first three for a start. Give your head a wobble.
Simons exactly right. He is a Liverpool Legend. One title isnt enough to be a premier league legend. Lots of managers have won one title. No disrespect just statistics.

He literally won a cup with 7 - 10 kop kids aged 21 & under, (as per SkySports & Kelly Cates & Melissa Reddy & Stephen Warnock ) during a huge injury crisis in 2024. No boss has done that before vs a hugely expensive Chelsea team. Clough & Sir Alf won on tiny small club budgets. Compare gold to gold, not Gold to iron. Both are metals but not worth the same. I think Jürgen Klopp doesn't care about being a pl legend as much as how the anfield faithful sees him... Of course he has contributed so much to the EPL as a coach, a person and the question of him being a pl legend or Liverpool one is irrelevant... He won everything the pl has to offer, won the cl and that's "legendary ".... So for me he is legendary as a football manager not just a Liverpool manager...
Simon was obviously praising him in the past. The fact that both Klopp and Pep are brilliant managers, both with different Characters , tactics etc. I think in the eyes of LIVERPOOL and also others , klopp will always be a legend! I have spoken to a few Liverpool fans and they all agree. There will be alot of tears at Anfield tomorrow.
The fact every radio station, football sports channel, podcast, rival fans are talkijg abiut Klopp leaving, farewell tour, final game just shows how much love and respect they have for this man. As though Klopp would care a jot. Legendary status is the least of his interests I would argue. Klopp and his team lifted a club that was on its knees, the mood around the place and beyond. That counts enormously. You can keep your legendary status, while we keep our icon.
There is a misconception about Jurgen Klopp’s time at Liverpool and some think that it’s a failure. In the next couple of years, many people will look back and reminisce about his time at Liverpool and bring up the fact that he won 1 PL title in 9 years and for an elite manager it’s not enough on paper, but we have to look at more than just trophies when we wanna evaluate the impact a manager has on a team. When it comes to rebuilding teams there’s no better manager at doing that than Klopp. We’ve seen him have success at clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Mainz despite being on a shoestring budget. It’s been the same story for him at Liverpool and he managed to turn them back into an elite club. You look at it in the last 7 years Manchester City are about to win 6 league titles and we live in a world where they would’ve had 7 league titles in 7 years had it not been for Klopp’s Liverpool. They managed to win their first league title in 30 years against one of the greatest teams we’ve ever seen who are on an unlimited budget. From a tactical perspective, he’s different from someone like Pep Guardiola, but you can’t deny Klopp’s greatness even if he doesn’t have enough trophies on his resume. They also won the Champions League as well and on 2 different occasions lost the title by a point to City and at times they were in the hunt to win a quadruple. I don’t know why people think that the amount of trophies is the sole way to judge the ability of a manager. He missed out on some trophies he’s simply because of Manchester City’s dominance and Real Madrid being a thorn in their side and while history only remembers the winners, that shouldn’t take anything away from Klopp at Liverpool even though 1 league title in 9 years isn’t enough.
@@HALWASRIGHT yeah that season we made to the final of every major tournament, won 2 of them, lost 1-0 to a great Madrid team and narrowly missed out on the final day to arguably the greatest football team ever. If that was your club you'd be proud of that season but it's not so your finding excuses to hate
Klopp 1 Epl title ( not a premier league legend) Alan Shearer 1 Epl title ( Premier league legend ✅) Steven Gerard 0 Epl title ( premier league legend) 🤡
I am abit conflicted about ranking Klopp. For all the praise Wenger gets he only got Arsenal to one Champions league final and lost. Klopp has a UCL title. He got Liverpool and Dortmund to UCL finals. He is an exceptional manager
Klopp changed the PL for the better! Could they have won more? Sure…BUT at the end of the day, to accomplish what he did, with the budget he did - against all odds, simply amazing!…not everything comes down to winning multiple PL titles. He’s made more of a mark on the PL than many have…how did he represent the PL on the world stage? The lives he has touched…that makes a legend!
Whilst i get Simon's point of view in the premier league you got to look at the big picture. The league title Liverpool won aside there were 2 other seasons were they lost the title by just 1 point, it could have just as easily been 3 league titles Liverpool and 4 for City in the last 7 years. The truth is that didnt happen and Klopp faced a team which has practically infinite money at there disposal coached by a world class coach as well. The fact he won even 1 title against this City team is still a huge achievement and finally I would like to point out that Jurgen won every major title including the Champions league before Pep did despite the huge gap in financial resources. Klopp is a legend imo both in premier league and internationally.
They finished in the top 2 three times under Klopp. It's not a standout statistic. Yes you could say that they were up against the mighty Man City. The same Man City has only ever won 1 European cup/champions league, so it's not like they were unbeatable.
@@Ligerpride Across a 38 league game season with other cups and internationals etc it really really does help when you have 2 first 11's you can throw out in any given week. Liverpool won a league and champions league with a first 11 and a few subs.

I am an Arsenal fan and I can say that he is of course a legend. He took Liverpool to win the league after so many years, a task that seemed almost impossible. Not to mention his European success with the club. Unfortunately Liverpool and Arsenal are against the relentless Man City with their amazing coach and their endless resources to buy the best players in the world.
Klopp has made an enduring impact on the premier league! He wont be forgotten any time soon by any set of supporters - he took a bang average squad and won every trophy available. This season the squad he had available was a mid table squad - he got the best out of them and no other manager in the league could of done that (my opinion). Is he a legend? He is my legend. If we are going on legends whats the benchmark for premier league? I would argue I Aston Villa won a premier league that would make Emery a legend! Pep winning premier leagues with Man City....??? Mwah.
I know what Simon's saying rubs off on in the wrong way, but when you look at it as a whole you'll see he's got a point. I do believe people are looking at Klopp's achievements too emotionally, yes there's no doubt he's done incredible things at Liverpool winning all the important trophies for them during his tenure but in order for him to a be a true PL legend he would have needed to win a few more PL's, one more CL/EL and maybe some FA Cups as well. He'll defo go down as one of the most iconic/respected managers of the Premier League. The standards are so high, like when we're talking about the elite we're talking about Ferguson, Guardiola, Mourinho and Wenger, managers who have won multiple PL titles amongst other cups, with all due respect to Ranieri (especially for Leicester's title), Ancelotti and Conte who all did great in the PL as well. Klopp for me sits just below Wenger, if Klopp had won another PL title this season alongside a EL then that would have been up for debate going 50-50, with people putting the preference of Klopp over Wenger due to being more successful in Europe, then for Wenger over Klopp for boasting an Invincible side and more consistency. But of course, we all know that he'll leave as a Liverpool legend and an amazing manager/representative of the PL that will forever be iconic and never be forgotten.
Some people say Pep is the best manager in the world and some even say he's the best manager in the history of football but my view will always be that he cannot be regarded that highly until he overachieves at a club. Given what he's had to work with, I don't think you can say Pep overachieved at Barca, Bayern and City. Klopp hasn't won as many titles and cups as Pep has but given who he was up against whilst managing Liverpool and Dortmund, I think winning the number of titles and cups he has, getting to the amount of finals he has and getting the amount of points he has is at the very least as good an achievement as anything Pep has done.
Couldn’t care less if other teams coined him as a legend or not. He was a proper legend at Liverpool. I’m so glad that Jurgen is a Red, he doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone.
There are not many definitions of the word legend, get the man a dictionary. According to Collins a legend is someone who is very famous and admired by a lot of people. People will be talking about Klopp in 50 years time. That is a legend.
Jordan mentions Guardiola, of course it needs a skilled manager to win things, however City won their 1st PL Roberto Mancini, Pellegrini RU, Pep 6 titles, 2 seconds....all of this by sports doping, paying and aquiring the best players while circumnavigating the system. Without it City would be langushing like Wolves or Notts Forest. Is Klopp.a legend, yes, against the odds he kept Liverpool competitive.
After thinking it through I almost agreed but I have to change my mind and say he is a premier League legend. It goes beyond the mere stats of 1 League title. It's how he did it and what he brought to the premiership. In the 2 other seasons he finished second, he got more points in any of fergies title winning seasons. That's something.
Simon speaks the truth, Klopp isn't a PL legend. He isn't on the level of Jose or Wenger, if anything he is on the level of Claudio Ranieri, if not below.
If Klopp is a PL legend then so is Joe Mercer, ex Man City manager. Won the league, won the FA cup, first English team to win a European trophy and an English one in the same season.

What frustrates me is that Guardiola has lots more millions to play with than Klopp. Same goes with Mourinho, Ferguson & Wenger. Imagine what Klopp could have done with more money with Liverpool. Not to mention Ferguson and Mourinho didn’t have Man City breathing down their necks every five seconds. So If you look at it from that perspective with the money Liverpool have then Klopp is a legend

For all the clowns saying he’s not a premier legend 2018-19 he got 97 points only losing one game which was at the Etihad to Man City who got 98 points, he won the champions league that same season. In 19-20 he got 99 points and won 20 of the first 21 games and led Liverpool to a first league title in 30 years in the most dominant title win of the premier league era. Also won a super cup and a club World Cup that season too, in 21-22 he had Liverpool competing for a quadruple and they were only beaten to the title on the last day after getting 92 points. Klopp has hit 90+ points on 3 occasions, if Man City weren’t around and weren’t such a great team and weren’t potentially cheats(115 charges) he’d have 3 premier leagues. He’s 100% a premier league legend, the league would’ve been the Bundesliga without him.
He is a legend..How many times would’ve the points total won the league when they finished second? Up against a financial monster has warped Simon’s take.
I disagree. Jurgen is a PL legend simply for his charismatic leadership. He has the aura and feel for any fans to be part of. Simply the man, the legend. Who cares what Simon says. He does not represent anyone.
He is definitely up there with one of the best, I think leaving with 1 league title is besides the point. He is just unfortunate that his time here is overshadowed by pep and the resources that city have.

He won seven major trophies in these nine years ( premier league, champions league, fa cup, league cup twice, European super cup, world club cup), but all these years the English media have made him look like a super legend. Yes, great ,great manager, no doubt , but at the end of the day, he won for Liverpool, seven major trophies, not a very good return. Facts
Klopp a PL Legend??- Hell YES!!! People astound me with their rhetoric!! A man won ALL the trophies available in an era where NO OTHER TEAM competed with City. Never mind 100+ charges of corruption swept under, nail biting finishes twice by a point, horrendous injuries and still chasing a quadruple on 2 occasions. I don’t know how people reason- most people never even kicked a football in their lives! This man is greater than Pep to me- he even won a UCL for Liverpool before Pep did for City!!! People are just impossible mehn. Y’all are a joke out here- know nothing about football. I don’t care if he won 1 PL trophy! Y’all have contributed to the financial corruption that sustains City, and this man still cut through all that red tape ahead of United, Arsenal and Chelsea- please put some respect on his name. Jurgen Klopp is a Premier League legend of the highest order. Period!
Klopp is a great man. I think he's a legendary manager too, but his human traits are what make him special. The number of disabled kids or people with health or mental problems he wrote to personally will never be known. The things he did for them too will largely go unpublicised. He had Pep and City to contend with, and Real Madrid in Europe otherwise he'd have won many more trophies than he has. All with miserly owners in FSG.
I’m no Liverpool fan but he is a EPL legend purely because of the moments. Is he on the same bracket as Sir Alex or Pep? No because simply they won more titles and they are above in success but premier league is also about legacy they left with the teams they left behind, title races and moments and Klopp has provided that with his teams and off pitch throughout his tenure. Put it this way, Steven Gerrard is regarded by many to be a premier league legend and get in an all time Premier League 11 but he has never won it!! So is he not a EPL legend?
He is a potential legend off the pitch with his personality but on it he is not a legend in the premier league. A legend in the premier league needs to win multiple titles and klopp has only the 1 title.
Get real there's plenty of legends who haven't even won one PL title. Are you saying to me Gerrard isn't a PL legend? Ian Wright has only won 1 title, guess he's not a legend. Gary Speed, absolute stalwart player, 16 seasons in the Premier League, not a legend. Mo Salah, only 1 title not a legend. Alan Shearer, the leading goal scorer in the Premier League era, only 1 title not a legend. All you have proved, is that your critera for "legend" status is ridiculous and that you are a complete cretin.

Winning league titles half depends on OTHER teams dropping points in games which you got NOTHING to do with.

so its not about winning the league to you its about total points at the end of the season lol, at the end of the season if you are not first place the points tally means nothing, facts

As though Klopp would care a jot. Legendary status is the least of his interests I would argue. Klopp and his team lifted a club that was on its knees, the mood around the place and beyond. That counts enormously. You can keep your legendary status, while we keep our icon.
As a city fan i disagree klopp will always be remember as pl legend , period Bro won them pl.after 35 years.
Yo, this is straight up fantasy. In the "hunt" for a quadruple? You either win, or you don't. That's it.

Klopp should be remembered simply, as, the man who put a smile on the face of all who he met.
Mwah.
Klopp is a premier league legend from a Villa fan with no agenda.UTV
Wrong!!
Simon is 100% right 1 pl title doesn’t make you a legend
Simon is absolutely correct
How can you call Wenger elite? 22+ years only 3prem titles and 0 European success
I don't like Kloop but people forget Liverpool had not won the League title in 30 years....
O'Neil is a great addition to this show. should get him on full time with these two
Some people say Pep is the best manager in the world and some even say he's the best manager in the history of football but my view will always be that he cannot be regarded that highly until he overachieves at a club.
He’s a LFC legend, not premier league legend.
What matters is what the liverpool fc fans think premier league irrelevant.
I’m not a celebrity and either is Simon Jordan but I wish we both were so we could have a celebrity boxing match!! 🥊
He is a Liverpool legend not a PL legend but is teams were badass. Great great manager that bar City could have won multiple league titles.
Won everything at Liverpool and is definitely a legend
Simon speaks the truth, Klopp isn't a PL legend. He isn't on the level of Jose or Wenger, if anything he is on the level of Claudio Ranieri, if not below.
If Klopp is a PL legend then so is Joe Mercer, ex Man City manager. Won the league, won the FA cup, first English team to win a European trophy and an English one in the same season.

Klopp Has 3 x Of The Top 10 Highest Points Totals In Premier League History With 99 x Points, 97 x Points & 92 x Points 👀
Winning trophy what defines greatness
@@balajiraju4157 Just The Full Set - Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, European Super Cup, FA Cup, League Cup 🏆 .. & A Possibility Of 2 x More Premier League Titles Dependant On The 115 x Charges 👀
And 2 of those were failures so why should we care about points totals… they only get that high when the rest of the league sucks anyway
Premier league titles are what defined a premier league legend… that’s it..
Jordan said Liverpool have had ffp breaches. Is this true?
No it's an absolute lie, Liverpool are one of the best financially run clubs in PL
For all the clowns saying he’s not a premier legend
2018-19 he got 97 points only losing one game which was at the Etihad to Man City who got 98 points, he won the champions league that same season.
By the way, compare his net spend to city’s and you’ll appreciate his achievements even more.
Money*
@@jamesdshannon99 same difference 🤷♂️
@@AFC_HIGHBURY yea you’re right tbf
@@AFC_HIGHBURY also I hope you can go on and win it on Sunday, hoping for a David Moyes miracle as well
@@jamesdshannon99 cheers, fingers crossed but it's a long shot.
KLOPP knows something about city 115 charges and he doesn’t want to be in the league when the results come out.
Because the media might be too much to handle .
I don’t know. But that’s just my opinion/ wild guess!
I don’t there’s much difference between Pep and Klopp. Simply put, Man City always just had better players. Not many teams win things unless they have the best players. Both got the most out of the players they had at their disposal.
It's the same as saying that Mourinho is a La Liga legend. He is not, not by a damned sight.
hes not a legend but hes deffinatley a PL icon and been great entertainment. But sorry Pep ignoring the MIA charges is a legend. hope klopp changes mind takes over bayern in summer
Simon Jordan should go the Kop end & tell this statement to the 55000 Scousers …
It takes more than trophies to make a legend. Klopp deserves every plaudit as an EPL & Champions League legend
It wasn’t the final to get us the trophy but yet everyone still talks about beating Barcelona 4-0
Subjectively speaking if u r a Liverpool he is a legend 4 sure but objectively lots of coaches have won multiple league trophies compared to his 1
The same guy telling Leverkusen Legend Ballack in an interviews its probably 50+1 to blame they never won. Imagine saying this while they broke all records this season. He is a Money Lobbyist.
Without Klopp City would have walked this league for almost a decade. Obviously Simon wants city to reign supreme.
Facts
How is 7 trophies In 9 seasons not a good return? Are you mental?
1 PL in 9 years and he got peppered by Madrid twice in CL finals
Period!
Using Simons logic, Harry Kane is one of England's worst ever footballers.
Klopp is a Liverpool & German legend but NOT a PL legend
nobodys arsed really, he would be if it wasnt for lance armstrong fc
If you ask united fans right now would you take what Klopp has won + being up there competing they'd snap your hand off.
You can’t tell the story of Pep in the Prem w/o Klopp. He will be immortalized in the history of the prem = legend
115 FC legends at cheating. At best we were a mid table team when he joined. He leaves us now competing for the title most seasons!
He’s a cult classic, not a best seller. And I’m cool with that
there is a difference between opinions and fact.. your opinions can be whatever, the fact is that Klopp is a FOOTBALL LEGEND, end of discussion.
A legend at collecting runners up medals?
Simon Jordan has a big mouth
Liverpool in Premier League terms stand among a small knit community alongside Blackburn & Leicester as one hit wonders! 🖕🏼
He might be a legend in Liverpool but not I the premier league. Only 1 compared to all managers before him and currently
