So in this case we should go and ask Ancelotti what was your influence over Germany since you beat Dortmund and can you please accept to call you a local influencer because no one cares about you out side the city of Madrid!!! If it wasn’t for foreign managers the PL would be an absolute joke a fact that only a turtle can deny.

Alan Shearer only won one Premier League and he's a legend is he not? Anyone banging on about "1 Premier League title" clearly isn't taking the context surrounding it into consideration; he's the ONLY manager who's finished above Pep's City for 7 years now, a club who've been doing it on cheat mode, he's the only manager to legitimately amass 95+ points a season on multiple occasions, he's reached 3 Champions League finals and won every trophy there is.... with the lowest net spend of the big 6. If you want to say that's not a legendary achievement point us all to the legend who did better with the 6th highest budget and a cheating club in the way please.

I consider someone a legend who had an impact on the league, both from the sports and from the personality.
Of course, Klopp is a legend. he transformed a Liverpool side that were in the middle of nowhere on the table to a regular title contender and european top side again within a few years. And not by spending loads of money as ManCity did, he made the players inheritated from Rodgers better (Gomez, Firmino, Henderson), integrated academy talents in (Quansah, TAA) and bought players who weren't on the radar at all by the top teams (best example is probably Robertson). He may not have won loads of titles, but he was constantly in top 4 (except last season, even though it was tough).

As a City fan, as much as Klopp and his side gave me many sleepless nights, I have nothjng but the utmost respect for him. And as for not being remembered as the runner up in several seasons as Simon suggests, I think he’s wrong. Why? The Pep/Klopp era (yes I’m calling it that contrary to what some pundits think given Pep won more) was defined a period of unbridled footballing excellence btwn both managers unlike anything before in both the PL and top flight English football.
This was a time where each manager was pushing each other and the limits of what a team can achieve each season. To look at what both Klopp and Pep achieved through the lens of results-only analysis is not only lazy and poor, but misses what made this era so special to begin with. Just look at some of the records each team broke from points to unbeaten streaks to winning streaks to gap over 2nd place to GD to GF and on the list goes. What we witnessed was truly special and would not have been possible had it just been Pep or had it just been Klopp.

@@guyverjay1289 The topic was on the Premier League and not Europe which was the scope of my comment.
City and LFC absolutely destroyed everything that preceded in English football. Prior to run he Pep/Klopp era, no team in English history (not simply the PL) had achieved 90 points or more and had NOT won the title. That happened to Klopp 2x.
During that period, Pep set the 1st and 3rd highest points ever accumulated by an English team and Klopp set the 2nd and 4th highest points achieved by a PL team. Those achievements were made in the first 3 years of their rivalry.
That IS footballing excellence by me hind the scope of anything we’ve ever seen in English football and it was consistent and not simply a 1-off. I could give you a whole host of records both managers broke in addition to the above that are all English football based.
To be clear, I am NOT talking about or including anything regarding Europe.

The problem with Simon is he uses one standard for one club over another. For example, he states that Palmer is player of the year because of what he has done under the circumstances at Chelsea where many of the players have been poor. If you apply the same logic of 'circumstances' to Klopp and Liverpool, he has not got the financial power at Liverpool that Pep has at City. Thus, if you apply this standard then you would expect Klopp to only have maybe one or two titles. Remember, Pep set the standard for spending loads of money on defenders that was not the norm by buying Walker and Mendy for 50 mil each.
In addition, when Pep joined, they started spending 200 mil plus every year. With his second full transfer market he spent over 300 mil. This was un-parallel at this time which is why they have such incredible depth.

Wenger, mourinho & fergie didn’t amass the points of Klopp and Pep because there was less of a gap between the sides. Save for your terrible Derby teams, bottom half teams could compete for the most part. The transfer and wage budgets were not as wide as they are now…
And the gap widens every year….
That isn’t to say Klopp isn’t a legend of the game…he is. But points tally’s is a useless argument.

I personally can't stand Liverpool nor Klopp. Having said that I'd certainly have to consider him among the biggest premier league legendary managers from a strict managerial standpoint, but also with a caveat that it would have to include his record in European competitions as well as his record with previous clubs.
On a standalone PL basis he did very well, beyond expectations for sure.
On the more critical side you'd have to consider his league performances as being highly inconsistent. For all the good things he managed his teams only finished in the top 2 three times. Yes the 2 runner up occasions were with very high points totals and also the league title that they won. Outside of those seasons though their seasons were relatively unspectacular.
Klopp will be remembered for a huge time in Liverpool and among Liverpool fans. For one thing it seems from ab outsider perspective to be one where the club and fans were in it together. I think Klopp is a huge factor in that, so much so that i don't think any of the good stuff happens without him.
To everyone else I think he'll still be remembered and acknowledged as being a high quality football manager but just one of many behind the top level guys like Guardiola, Wenger and of course Ferguson.

Another clueless caller. They had 97 points and still didn’t win. Just doesn’t mean they would have beaten United to the titles. United won cos they were the best. Liverpool had a chance to beat them and didn’t

Simon Jordan has no right to judge Klopp's status in football. He's not qualified. Only fellow managers who have achieved great things have that right.

To win a League against the Might of Citeh and the 115 funds is an UNBELIEVABLE achievement! If it wasn’t for Klopp Citeh would be going for SIX titles in a row.
