I’ve experienced the same thing with their products being too heavy for my hair. One product of theirs that I’ve really liked is the low porosity protein-free leave-in detangler.

I needed this! Shea moisture is WIDELY available here. However, I have had so many fails with their products, which is too bad, because the ingredient lists sound so perfect on paper. But it's almost always too heavy for me. Love their deep conditioning masque, though.

I use the marshmallow root leave in as well. It works well for my wavy/curly hair. I agree, that most of their products are unfortunately too heavy for my curl type as well. I prefer their deep conditioners more than anything in their line, but other than that I have to pass. By the way...love your makeup in this video and others. Have you ever done a makeup tutorial?

I've started using the 10 in 1 Superfruit Complex line and so far it's one of the better products I've used. The shampoo is kinda weird in that it gives off an unusual smell and it doesn't feel like it's doing much cleaning but my hair doesn't feel weighed down after so it must be working. The conditioner is by far the better of the two and leaves the hair feeling very soft and moisturized.

I love SM masks and the coconut shampoo and the purple rice shampoo. Don’t have as much luck with their stylers but for me their masks are king 🙌🏻 I don’t have many issues with my hair being weighed down, despite it being only a 2b wave tho.

Hello! I'm not sure if some one else already mentioned this....but I just wanted to let you know what the ingredients in my state/country say about the wax ingredients! First....I'm in Massachusetts/U.S.! On my packaging it DOES have some waxes in the ingredients. These are what it says is in the product: Cera Alba(Beeswax) and Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) wax. There may be some other kinds also but those are the ones that specifically say 'wax'. Just thought you might be interested in knowing! Thanks for the video!!

Have you tried their Miracle Multi-benefit line (sugarcane and meadowfoam)? I use the entire line (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in treatment, and masque) and I LOVE it. I've tried several other brands and I always come back to this one. It's formulated for wavy hair and I've found it's not heavy at all. I think it's because they have stearyl and cetyl alcohol before the Shea butter in the ingredients so it cuts the heaviness of it a bit. The shampoo, conditioner, and mask also have a bit of protein in them, so they're been great to maintain my protein/moisture balance. The conditioner and leave-in have great slip, and they all smell amazing. I've never found them to make my hair greasy and I only wash twice a week, clarify and masque twice a month. For reference, I have 2a/b and a few c, fine, medium porosity, medium density waves. I know a lot of their products do tend to be too heavy for wavies, but not this line (at least for me, but I know everyone is different)!

I agree that Shea Moisture is not for everyone. Personally I love it and so does my hair BUT my hair is much curlier than yours. It is really thick and high porosity. I found through trial end error that my hair loves products a little on the heavy side. I would not recommend SM for anyone who had thinner wavy hair or anyone whose hair was on the oily side.
