Finally a major manufacturer has recognized the need for something like this. Every percussive player or even guys like me who just want to add some basic percussion to loops has been searching for various solutions. Would have been nice to bring in someone who could demo these for their intended purpose.
Forgot to mention that the most useful aspect of the split signal is being able to feed the magnetic pickup through a variety of effects that you wouldn't usually use with undersaddle or microphonic pickups.
Tremendous jam out from Ben and Pete! That is what great guitars do - it makes players spontaneously deliver a mini-concert and Ben's acoustic wizardry is edging above Pete for a rare challenge! Great work and chemistry gents!
What?!?! I have a Jumbo, Cedar top/Mahogany back, Fishman Rare Earth soundhole mic and soundhole pickup in my 89 Takamine EN-20C. It is a great-sounding guitar (these are the Pete guitars). This combination has great dynamics with those big jumbo warmth tones. I've been wondering why guitar makers and players aren't wanting them. If you are getting one of these new guitars, enjoy it! They are special.
I really like the shape though! That cedar is nice. I have a Taylor Koa E-mini and just love more red coloured woods. The blend of both pickups is really pretty 😍
I permanently wired a Fishman Soundhole pickup in my Cole Clark FL1 (which also has a percussive face-brace pickup) so I could use electric guitar effects simultaneously - that separate magnetic pickup really solves so much.
PLEASE do get @Jon Gomm for an interview! I love his music so much! His new album "The Faintest Idea" is my favorite album of 2020/21 ! What an amazing creative mind, what an touching vocalist and what an amazing player! 🤓👍👍
SSSIRRRREEE lol shootout with sire acoustics- if you have them in of course, shipping is killing everything. I really want to see how their pickups /electronics hold up against Ibanez. both companies are pretty innovative and happen to be two of my favorite brands.
I swear soon as you said shoot out I thought that the cedar top looked like a Yari that was my first guitar had a really thin body and a load of tone . but it didn't have a cut out or 1/4 " input but Bob weir had a signature series that was great cut out and such .I believe it was a Bwy or BY 160 or something.all that just to say yes Yaris would be a great comparison.
I'm about an average acoustic player, very much a strummer, picker whilst singing sort of guy, but even to me these have some appeal as, particularly the 3 pickup version, offers an ability to tailor your love sound and get it closer to what you want to hear. The sound guy at my usual acoustic night would love it!! (Actually he'd also love the guitar, as I believe he's a John Gomm fan!!)
the mega percussive player who uses Ibanez guitars is Marcin,if you haven't checked him out DO IT NOW make sure you're sitting down when you do:- ruclips.net/user/MarcinGuitar
Great video guys, since these guitars aren’t available in my country I needed this comparison to order from a international seller. Neck specs are the same in both models?
Don't worry about the drummer, he can always fall back on delivering pizzas to keep a roof over his head, has long as his girl friend doesn't break up with him.
Can we get the red head dude to pull a free Palestine lol jk sorry just almost died but the commercial saved me from breaking my mirror into little pieces and feeding my ears... ❤️

When you are inspired to play the way you two did at the end of the video, you know you are connecting with the instrument!

14:26 I wasn't paying attention when Ben said what I thought was how percussive players have huge balls.
Same haha
Wow normally I prefer the warmth of the cedar tops but that German spruce sounds fantastic so clear, really nice guitar
I don't have the talent, skill, or patience for percussive playing but I can appreciate it and I love these acoustic videos!
Cole Clark representation for us Aussies! Best electronics in an acoustic on the planet
Try a shoot out with the Epiphone “inspired by” J 200. It’s similarly priced.
awesome jam guys. as always.
Hopefully this is leading up to the new Jon Gomm signature, maybe an interview with the man? 🤞🏻
Can't wait to hear Marcin Patrzalek on one of these !
Nice. I'd like a shoot up against the Martin SC13e

Would love to see Tommy Emmanuel try "Initiation" with this!
Completely insignificant, but the headstock shape is just beautiful.
Any chance on reviewing the jgm5 or jgm10 in the future?
Great outro ! Fun to watch & hear
Love them! Awesome guitar 🎸
The whole banging on your acoustic thing usually gives me douche chills…but these sounded great
These guys have such an amazing musical connection - they should form a band haha
Great fun video guys, looks a winner. Your right those pickup’s should be in every guitar
The only thing I look forward to on Mondays

These are absolutely fantastic
Loved the intro ♥️
Ibanez makes great acoustics…the artwood series is incredible
I play a Breedlove Atlas bass. These look IDENTICAL!
SSSIRRRREEE lol shootout with sire acoustics- if you have them in of course, shipping is killing everything. I really want to see how their pickups /electronics hold up against Ibanez. both companies are pretty innovative and happen to be two of my favorite brands.
Great sound! 👍
Such a great player. Sweden should be proud!
i cant tell if youre trolling but can you think why hes called danish pete?
@@terrybanks5063 I was talking about Bjorn Borg
@@jland12 lol

Those guitars are HUGE!! Almost comedy stage prop size lol 😂 would suit a modern mariachi band!

You guys should do a review of the Yamaha Red Label series. Such a great line for the price.
It’s kind of like the epiphone masterbuilt 500mce with an extra pick up for the percussion.
These look like a direct knock off of a Breedlove guitar. Love my Breedlove. Similar size and design - string thru bridge, cut away.
what do you think about ibanez AE series? i dont see andertons review that guitar
Cole Clark Fat Lady II (no cutaway)
15:31 isn’t it feeding back because you have another mic pointing straight at it? Which isn’t a “real world” situation let’s say
Now if only Ibanez made a guitar that played guitar for me….then maybe I’d be able to get good
Been try for 50 yrs

Shock me, tell me Ben didn't take one home 😳 Respect and stay healthy all.
Why they has same headstock as James Tyler JTV-59??
amazing
The bridge is cool.
SO big though!
i honestly thought Danish Pete had shrunk.. Ben gets away with it! (in spite of losing weight!)
Pete is the best 👌
Apres la capitan!
Ibanez must have been paying attention to David Wilcox’ acoustic multi-pickup setups. He’s been doing it for years.
I think they have been paying a lot of attention to John Gomm - who moved over from Lowden to be with them ...
Stay for the end jam ya'll
Yeah... please make a shootout with J-200 an some jumbo guitars. :)
Uh? _ I'll Just Go With a Medium'? and I'll Add any Extra Needed Bass' With My Amp! Thanx!🤔
Sungha Jung needs an honorable mention in my opinion as on of the best percussion acoustic boys in the game.
where is the ibanez AZES video?
Shootout with the Epiphone EJ200CE
Why is this video not in my feed? I am subbed. Weird.
Small issue on our end sorry about that!
Looks like they are copying Lowden guitars. Take a look at the Lowden Richard Thompson plays. The cedar top and deep body is a dead giveaway.
the best cedar comes from british columbia canada. oh, and the best spruce. that would be sitka. a native word. indigenous to b.c. canada
boon haggington and a pipers whistle
Don't worry about the drummer, he can always fall back on delivering pizzas to keep a roof over his head, has long as his girl friend doesn't break up with him.
I need to get me some flannel
A cedar top on a guitar intended for percussion? Seems an odd choice.
That guitar is HUGE 😂😂😂😂
Eastman AC630 v. Gibson J200
The idea for shootouts is for only guitars that they carry, not any guitars out there in the world.
If those are the same size. Man, Ben is a lot taller than Pete
Cedar all the way.
Ben needs to practice the lead trade off
Your are listening to smooth jazz by the plaid shirt bois
Pertamax
Can we get the red head dude to pull a free Palestine lol jk sorry just almost died but the commercial saved me from breaking my mirror into little pieces and feeding my ears... ❤️
Has Pete shrunk or is that the worlds biggest guitar?
lol - 1st time Ive seen Ben struggle
Mrc10m
Andertons - proudly sponsored by Diet Coke.
Dear Ibanez people who probably wont see my comment, i dislike that bridge more than is reasonable. this is criticism for your consideration.
Annoying guitar players 100% welcome to open Mic night lmao 🤣
I hate marcin and those people who bang on their guitars.
No.
