It does look good doesn’t it 👍😮👍 and those coaches are going to fit right in too👍 I’m surprised that they didn’t put it in a wooden box like they did with the big boy locos, I think that it would have been really nice and make it more special, but then you have to find somewhere to store the huge box. 🤨 (I remember when my big boy arrived in the post thinking that they had sent me an O gauge loco by mistake).😳😳😳
@@hovermotion Yes it really would have set it off really well, nice well made varnished box with a nice green or maybe even a red felt lining. It would have really looked the mutts nuts. 🤔🤩🤩🤩👍

Hi Adi, I hope you're doing good. Yeah I was nearly cancleing this model as it got some flack in the uk, I am glad I did not as its a utterly stunning model.. Tons of tech inside including a coreless motor and battery backup.
Nice to see the Southern Region coaches being given an airing. We chatted about them a while ago as I was looking for some to match my Fleischmann Warship loco. I managed to source a 5146 and a 5147 from an eBay seller in the Netherlands. I am still looking out for a 5148 brake carriage. The Trix Flying Scotsman looks great!
Definitely agree, however OO has been the standard here for almost 90 years, a sudden increase in HO scale British prototypes wouldn’t sell well with modellers who’ve been doing OO for the majority of their time in the hobby, and I’m unsure how well it’d sell with an overseas market
@@Hacksworth_Sidings The Flying Scotsman sold out very fast. So I think there is room to try the market out. Märklin, especially, have had succes with exotic foreign models in the past. They might be able to pull off starting a UK line of models in H0. There will be people buying them, simply because they are Märklin and people are collectors.
@@stormbowman7148 the Germans do know how to make a good model train, I won’t deny that, and I have seen modellers looking to model UK prototypes in 1:87, would definitely be interesting to see how it fairs in the long run
Yeah it's a very silky runner , runs superbly over the fleischmann track. Those coaches look very nice got nine hooked up to it now seems to pull them fine.
The quality is great and it is reflected in the price. It is really easy to get the boiler/cab of (only 4 screws) Makes the extra detailing and placing a crew much easier. I do think the color of the oil pipes at the smokebox end could be better and they are a bit bulky. It looks like one of your safety valves need to be pressed down a bit more. Some easy improvements you can do is paint the axels of the drivers black, the cover of crankbearing should be brass color, same goes for the whistle. I also think they cut down the leafsprings of the trailing truck/bogie a bit much.
Beautiful model. One of the few HO scale British railway models to made. I remember reading of an Australian company which made or imported a brass HO model many years ago. I can't remember wher i read this too and cant find any info on it.
Wow yeah it's quite rare to see uk locos from Germany. The other two locos are the fleischmann warship classes in blue and green liverys. Thanks for watching.
@@hovermotion Precision Scale Models of Austrailia did the brass “Flying Scotsman” in HO scale. They offered several versions both in the as delivered LNER livery plus later BR versions including the versio nwhen it was on a tour of Australia. They are worth some major coin too.

Hi, great loco you have there, it looks amazing to be fair the details are on the loco not the packaging, Hornby knock out their gold plated Flying Scotsman for £500, no sound and no smoking features and a plastic tender, I would never buy one because in my opinion it’s an overpriced ripoff. Bachmann retail their top of the range class 37 locomotives for nearly £400 and you don’t get a driver in them, I guess if you want an item bad enough you will buy it, you can’t please everyone these days because fault will be found regardless of what it is, even though it’s an H0 scale model it’s a serious piece of engineering, I believe Accurascale would produce something like it in the future and the price wouldn’t break the bank through greed, I hope you enjoy this model to the max, I hope you fit ESU lighting into the rake of coaches you have, that would be something to see, thanks for sharing.
Looks amazing. Unfortunately I cancelled my preorder could y justify it at this moment in time but hopefully I’ll get one one day, I still reckon next year or two they’ll go the USA tour version,
Hi Yeah it is a lot of money, I was close to cancelling mine too but when it finally arrived I just went to the shop to pick it up. Rrp is about £585 got this one a fair bit less... Great presentation, Jim! Nice look at the 2-rail version! Now... onto those coaches- were those Fleischmann? Fleischmann made UK HO models? Those are amazing and sharp. I am jealous... again... sigh! lol
Yeah fleischmann made two warship classes one in br green and one in blue along with the green br coaches.. Took me years to track down the coaches as the are now rare. Thanks Anthony.

It's a pity they have not installed a three-cylinder exhaust beat - as per the prototype. It sort of spoils the whole thing as well as being un-professional!

I have a spare brake coach if you want it ?
We need more HO scale british models, to put the UK in the global market of model trains
They already are if you ask me, in slightly oversized OO but still
@@DangerAngelous yeah the overscale part is what irritates me. Alongside a HO model these are gigantic.
