Fabulous! Some stations like Euston the stock was propelled into the platform with the shunter in the rear coach to apply the brakes , so your program is pretty much spot on, the Trix Flying Scotsman is smashing 🚂✅.
The winter season is coming so the weather will be worse the next months. That offers me the opportunity to watch your recordings of this beautiful layout. So expect some comments over the next couple of weeks. Enjoy your trains. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I'm an Australian H0 scale modeller so have some appropriate coaches for the 1988/89 tour for my Scotsman. I do find the chuff rate too slow when the loco is at higher speeds. What do you think?
Cool...I've not used the smoke yet..I think standard sluthe oil will do. The models are not made in Germany anymore (somewhere in Europe or maybe even China but the factory and quality is to the highest standards, I've thrashed my loco the last three days and it runs perfectly.
It's great to see this running especially as it's the same scale as everything else 👍 I have an old Hornby OO gauge one but it always looks a bit odd running around with the HO stuff🤔🤔☹️☹️👎
How many coaches have you tried pulling with scotsman? on my layout its hard to do a decent pull test. Most of my locos cant pull 8 amtrak amfleets on my layout. but i go to a club layout easily pulls 12. its weird.
Having trouble with the smoke unit on my Scotsman. I've got the correct fluid Marklin 02421 Lightweight Smoke Fluid that's what it says to use in the manual I've put a few drops in but I'm only getting smoke for a split second when I cycle the function for the smoke a few times. I've let it run for five minutes and got nothing tried adding a few drops of oil but still not working.i don't want to overfill in Any ideas?
@@ollychap1985I have the same problem, solved it by increasing the track voltage to 18v , also the smoke gen automatically shuts off at 5mins so you may also have to switch on and off f1 again after 5 mins..
@@hovermotion thanks, Jim 👍 not sure if I can change the track voltage on my NCE power cab I have a Hornby Elite that I could try It's funny I was thinking about the power as the amps do go up with the smoke on Will have a play tomorrow and see wat happens Thanks for your help

Many thanks 👍🏻
Brilliant, I really enjoyed that. What a powerful engine. I wonder how other engines would run. Thanks
Alan
Thanks..just added one more coach, I will be testing the smoke next..
Absolutely incredible running Jim using the automation. The coaches look incredible with the Scotsman. Absolutely mind blowing Jim.
Thank for watching again...
It's a nice train now as you say..
It's great letting the computer take control as it makes filming it a lot easier.

Hi Many thanks for your kind words...
You also have an outstanding system...
Jim. Manchester u.k
@@hovermotion Thank you for your appreciation.
That looks awesome !!! And the color match with the Fleischmann cars is almost perfect...
Yeah it's not even that noticeable with the colour match from the coaches..
It must be very gratifying that you finally have a loco to pull those Fleischmann carriages you bought so long ago! It looks great.
Yeah I had 12 of those coaches in stock which took me 10 years to track .
I originally got them for the fleischmann warship class in br green
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW... CUBED! THAT is how this should look! Epically brilliant, Jim! My jealousy is maxing! lol 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍💯💯💯
Thanks Anthony,
Looks pretty cool on the layout now...I may add another two coaches on a fast run..
That's only whetted our appetite Jim. Fabulous.
Should I add another two coaches?😄
@@hovermotion LOL I wouldn't dare suggest such a thing...
good looking and stunning set, thanks for showing
Many thanks for watching...jim
Very good .
Have you been able to increase the chuff? And what are those coaches please. They look fantastic
Hi no I am leaving the settings the same as I do not have the Marklin programmer.
The coaches are Fleischmann British rail made in Germany
Superb JIM ..Just Superb.
bloody hell Jim looks amazing how long are your blocks
On the main lines as longer then this train , adding another two coaches later..
Your display looks fantastic. What is the model of the passenger cars?
Fleischmann 1/87 scale 5146 , 5147, 5148
Sounds and looks great , automation , next A1 then No Jim? Lol
😂 Maybe I will be a robot or a hologram the future playing trains taking over the hobby 😊

I agree it's not correct, I am leaving the settings as is as I do not have the Marklin programmer for advanced tuning.
Thanks for watching...Jim
Cool video thanks lee
Hi Lee , many thanks for watching...jim
looks great
Just got my one. What a model. What smoke oil do you use? Are Trix still made in Germany ? It’s certainly a quality model

Thanks, I may try and run it with the teak coloured Orient Express coaches also..

Hi I've not tried the smoke yet but I will today..
Best to fill with just below 0.5ml of oil with the supplied pipette.
It will be interesting to see how you get on with the smoke @@hovermotion
