My 06 HILUX had this problem exactly the same symptoms you discussed, but my problem was leaky injectors and a bad rocker cover gasket everything is sweet now no blowby nothing, hope this will help people

Thats half the 4wd vehicles that drive around in my town,rollin coal trains and they couldn't gaf ! Some of the worst drivers i see on our roads are people in 4wd vehicles,absolutely terrible drivers that think they own the roads,and a lot of the culprits are bloody female drivers in their hubbys 4wds! Some of them billow out so much smoke its unbelievable, unroadworthy polluting vehicles is what they are.
We are not all like that mate,i get up to intersections i sit back a little so cars can see traffic,some of the worst are woman in new Landcruisers talking on the bloody phone..
