I watched several of these videos where people are measuring, taping doing bunch of steps. In my mind I was installing it the way you did. This is my kind of an instal. Very informative. I’m gonna carefully “wing” it. Ordering the parts right now. 😀

I did it on my Mx-5. Used some masking tape to set up perfect alignment. It took 3 min.

It will blow off with off 3m. 3m is a water sealer not a fastener on 99% of spoilers

Use a grease marker to help line it up where you want it. Grease marker won't damage paint/clear coat and it wipes off relatively easy.

Just got a spoiler for my e36 thought it was screw type but ended up coming with 3m tape on it already, my main concern was the prep, glad to know all I need is rubbing alcohol 🤘

My man, is the wing still adhered to the car? Is it reliable and how long did it last? I ordered a similar wing and do not want to screw holes either.

Does rubbing alcohol damage the paint? And is the tape secure enough that the spoiler will survive rain, snow, slush and not fly off?

Use a plastic scraper followed by goo gone oil solution, it melts the adhesion residue away. Finish off w a wash and it'll be brand new@@lawabiding2576

I noticed you didn’t heat up the tape before you put it on. Has it stayed secured or have you had to go back and resecure it at some point after you put the spoiler on??

    • @GsoFunny
