How beautiful!!! Very beautiful indeed !!! Congratulations! A beautiful instrument plus beautiful music and another excellent instrumentalist, could only do it.
You make it sound so easy and having no trouble with memorizing it. I just got it and expects me to play a least 2 of the 4 at competitions. (but not memorizing it tho)
I never had the correct embouchure despite playing the oboe for 10 years, so I stopped playing oboe after college. It's been 8 years, and I've barely picked it up since. I've instead been the organist at church for >15 years, so I'm putting my music major to use.

Best excuse for oboe players 😉😂 No for real I was ready to play it in front of everyone but I accidentally switched reeds (same color!) so I had a hard time playing it correctly until the end.
Firstly: absolutely beautfiul Secondly: is this filmed at Guildhall? I think I recognise the lecutre recital room but there are many others very similar
@@BerniceLeeoboe thanks! I go to junior guildhall myself for cello, and, though I don't know much about oboe, I don't think I will ever get anywhere near your level! Truly wonderful playing, I look forward to hearing more :)
I know very little about performing Baroque but I seem to have impression that there is slight disconnection between oboe and piano on faster parts. The tone, the intonation, dynamics are all there. Nice version and beyond any level on which I can perform (on any instrument). I plan to study this piece (slow parts) on tenor saxophone soon - just started playing again 6 months ago and I am trying some easier classical pieces.
woland99 This isnt really considered an "easier" piece... Also am curious as to why you're studying this music with a Tenor? I find that would lead to an interesting sound
Understand - I think I was a bit optimistic 2 mo about it being easier piece - hit the plateau 8 months into my tenor studies. So Telemann for now is on back burner - just playing Niehaus' etudes for now ;-) Maybe will try to do Adagio from Trumpet Concerto first... My main instrument is guitar - saxophone is more of "exploration of melody" thing now - and getting away from cliches that you get stuck with on guitar. It also really opens your ears - maybe because you need to keep the intonation right (my horn is 70yo museum piece...)
The piano part is written like that. Not all Baroque pieces are like this. And don't play this for tenor saxaphone. Do it on soprano if you must, as soprano would sound much better.
I play oboe for 2,5 year now and tomorrow I will be playing this at my exam. Wish me good luck
Julia Ciepiela good luck
Hha me tooo hhaaa same also good luck
I hope it went well.
I have to study the piano part for school, I'm not even sure I can but I'll try
Did you pass ?
Same😂
I ain’t gon cap, movement 1 and 3 are beautiful
Absolutely beautiful!! I'm playing this as my solo piece in the spring on oboe and I am so nervous and excited!!
Soooo lovely🤍🎶

i chose this solo today and i play it in a month or so. super nervous as well
@@natalieboyer9787 you got this!!!!! I’m sure you’ll do great!🫶🏻
What are you nervous about? The hand movements are pretty easy
How long did she practice this? Like hot dang, I got the piece a week ago and I can't play it at tempo
V Zeno i worked on it for six months before performing it as a freshman in highschool
@@abbyperez8351 i got this six months ago and im playing oboe for 6 years now, i feel embarrassed
@Creative Channel ok dude that's a straight up lie if you think that's easy your playing the oboe very wrong
@@wooyoungsdoormat3853 how often do you practice
@@evenfredheim7279 back then only twice a week, now 4-5 times a week
¡¡¡Que bonito!!! ¡Muy lindo! Felicitaciones! Un hermoso instrumento más una hermosa música y más un excelente instrumentista, sólo podía dar en ello.

Bravo !!! Magnifique son et nuances ! 👍😋
Loved listening to this...
How? What? Huh?
I have had this a few weeks and still trip the fourth movement. Oh well, blame it on the reed

Magnificent! congratulations!
Great performance, I loved the phrasing

Erin Snape thank you for your kind words! And yes, it’s filmed at Guildhall’s lecture recital room! 😁

Erin Snape you’re too kind. Thanks so much for your support! 🙏🏻 it means a lot to me. 😊
im using this to learn how the piece sounds thank you
Maravillos que bonito suena el oboe, tengo esta obra y veremos a ver como la defiendo yo....
Wondering what kind of mic system you used to record this piece. Did you not use the mic for the piano?
J Ro I used just a zoom H5 to record this piece. I placed it a few metres away.
Im playing this in two months and i'm curious what tempo this is going
would yall recommend piece 1 or 3 for concert

@@spriy7794 i’m a junior in high school now, but i got the highest score you could get! so pretty well!
Does anyone know any information about this piece?
excuse me, where can I find the piano's score? thanks
This is in the solos for the oboe player book which has the piano score... But it is slightly edited
This site have many scores: imslp.org/wiki/Methodical_Sonata,_TWV_41:A3_(Telemann,_Georg_Philipp)
Very good !
its pretty hard to play
Wonderful
Bravo!!!
Well done.

Bavissima !!
I have a son who is a dark sound
He is dark and will be dark many years later
Sound exists, Oboist only add air to it
Oh my godddd i hate counting this piece 😢😢😢😢😢
Very nice, only wish the piano player wore a black suit making it look more professional
Beautiful Sonata. The pianist must have dressed appropriately.
The pianist doesn't understand baroque.
