This is why I love the Dungeon Dive! Daniel’s reviews are insightful and informative. And he has a knack for finding gems that are off the beaten path. Great job!
I'd like to note that I missed the kickstarter but I contacted the creator and he sent me a copy of everything new. So shout out to Pete for his excellent communication and help getting me a copy!
Thanks for the overview! 😊I appreciate the game's commitment to exploring its fiction in the expansions, it's the sort of thing I'm into. Love the artwork - it reminds me of Tony DiTerlizzi too.
I definitely appreciate your comments on box size and, especially, rulebook size. I really hate those giant rulebooks. It's like reading a dang newspaper.
Daniel thank you for this very interesting (as always) video ! Allow me to say that I really appreciate you showcasing so many different games ! I am not a solo gamer (I prefer playing video games when I want to play solo) , but I still really enjoy your videos ! To be honest, most board game channels have HUGE overlap between them, showcasing only the newest, biggest and most expensive games, so your content feels like a breath of fresh air. Regarding this game, the art is indeed beautiful and it seems like a fun time !
I am really into the Campife expansion. I like that the story can expand the world without g burdening the game without constant (and often substandard) lore dumps or interactions. Optional lore seems like a good direction. So many fresh and compelling ideas! I love the chain/prismatic items combos.
it looks fonderful. As for the art it is interesting you find it unique, not that I don t like it, but here in Europe it is a very classic european comics style of artwork, line art with watercolor like colouring.
Yep! I think I mentioned that it reminds me of French comic book art. It's unique in the world of fantasy board games, at least from the few hundred I've payed. :)
I ended up cancelling my pledge for this one. But one of the things I liked about this game is that it feels like it was designed to be a board game. It’s not just a board game trying to emulate a video game. I’ve wasted a lot of money on those types of games and none of them stayed in my collection.
wohooo... i bought the first BIG BOX edition after your first review... unfortunately still unplayed and i will hopefully get this on the table to decide if it is also one of my top 10 games :) Thank you for this great re.review and i am already tempted to order a expansion🙈
I always check Google, eBay, Amazon. Found quite a few copies on eBay. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=forgotten+depths+board+game&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313
That game looks amazing! I was amazed when I heard you speak in Spanish hahaha, but I remembered it, the new option on youtube for languages. Quede como que paso aqui jajaja

Got a copy of this game with all the expansions. Opening it up for Christmas. Can’t wait!

Total newspaper.
@@TheDungeonDive As a 50+ year old, I do kinda like the larger print, but I agree that they are very hard to thumb through and reference.
Ah, but here's the thing - the text in the huge old book was still super small! :)
Preach!
Thank you, Daniel. I'm glad that you're discussing Forgotten Depths again! I find this game very intriguing.
It's such an interesting game. So unique. Completely unlike any other game in my collection.

Oh thank you! I’m happy to share some other things. :)
i love this sound from opening
Daniel does some synth stuff, so I think he did the intro

This game is just overflowing with unique things.

I recognized Marian Churchland's art from the thumbnail, so good. Didn't know she was doing TTRPG stuff.
I believe this is the only thing she’s done thus far.
Really cool combat mechanism, love it!
Literally, just got this in the mail today!! YEA!!!
You're in for a great time.
I'm with you on the art. Both this and Dungeon Degenerates were 60% art buys initially. Would love to see Marian do an Earthsea comic adaptation!
Holy shit! That would be amazing.
RIP the beetles armour 🥲
Poor beetle forgot to use its armor!
@TheDungeonDive lol

The expansions are super interesting.
@@TheDungeonDive yea love the Story element of the small expansion😍
Any idea where to get this now that the Kickstarter has ended?
You can get a remaining copy from Grand Gamers Guild. That’s where I got my bundle.
Did you try searching using google? That would be my first step.
@@TheDungeonDiveI did. Can’t find it anywhere :(
@@GrechStudiosunfortunately they are completely sold out

Sounds great except it's sold out everywhere, in no small part to your glowing review of it I'm sure.
Thanks! About how much table space/footprint does it take and how long is a solo game?
All of my games are played on my small 3x4 table.
That game looks amazing!

Oh wow! RUclips does an audio translation ?
@@TheDungeonDive Yes It Does! It's a AI audio translate! Your video is avaible in 5 diferent languages!
Oh wow! Thats so cool. How does Spanish me sound?
