Reselling is hard. There's 10 hours a day of sourcing, cleaning, listing, repairing, packing and shipping. And let's not forget bookkeeping, sending offers, answering messages and checking and tweaking my listings. It's all day 7 days a week. It is insulting when people think we just work an hour a day and then goof off the other 23. My time is worth money and if you want it for less then go find it yourself. Rant over.
Reselling may look effortless from the casual observer but if they look a bit closer they will see someone who works smart & hard at what we enjoy doing.
It’s a lot less effort than my last job I did for 16 years (head server at a few different restaurants) but it only looks easy once you get really good at it. But for it to be anyone’s number one job it’s a TON of work if you want to succeed at it. BUT I make a ton more than I used to and can make my own schedule. 🤷♂️
In 3 of last 15 videos kevin made it very clear that he puts very minimal effort into reselling. Only ships a few hours a week. Only has to list a hour a day. Only sources 3 days a week. I believe 1 video was how to make 50 grand a year working what 20 hours a week? Lol.
Our best sale the last week of December was a record set, The United States Marine Band Heritage Of John Philip Sousa - Volume 1-9 Vinyl for $120. Our best month of the year was April. We purchased a bulk lot of N scale trains which boosted our sales that month to over $17k.
Since 15th had 2 $100-vtg shag metal folding chair & 70s wooden doll house kit and 1 $300 new boat pump all came from free storage cleanouts. Paid my time and fump fees.
Over last 3 yrs had 4 friends want to partner with me in the storage life for reselling. Still friends but none could handle what I do. List bay 100-200/wk, buy 1 or 2 units a week and sell at fleamarket 2 day wk. Told last guy was a general contractor for 12 yrs, this is the hardest work I've done.
Sold a reel to reel tape machine. Picked up on a lot of 2 with a bunch of tapes for $50. Sold for $285….and the buyer drove an hour plus and picked it up!
My best sale this month was a Wusthof Classic Ikon 4-Piece steak set. Paid about $5. and sold for $300. I could of held out for $350 to $390. but saw they were also a reseller, so left some meat on the bone for someone else to be blessed.
I got a thermal printer for my labels, and I thought I’d share how I hung up my labels to feed to printer - I used a stick up toilet paper holder 😊 works great so far 😊
Our best sale was a Goodwill find. My wife and I went to a new Goodwill Grand Opening in the area and she found 2 vintage Holt Howard Christmas Santa mugs for $.99 each. We sold them within 24 hours for $600 for the pair!
I am a 40hrs a week working and #reselling & THANK YOU for pointing out that it is a lot of work to do both. I hope everyone is doing well with sales and may we all have a blessed 2024 ! I want to make it to the big #resellersmeetandgreet in #2024 so I need the sales prayers 🙏🏿 gemeni-dreams

She was elementary school age, she started yelling, woke me up, I was so tired, I took the batteries out of the Furby, threw it in her closet and went back to bed. (you had to be there)
Reselling will not make you rich. Having a YT channel with 100k followers might. Kevin does a GREAT job on social media and deserves the reward for his efforts. Happy New Year! 🎉
Best find was a box of 1950s-1960s clothing for $25. There were 4 champion sweatshirts which i sold collectively for $600. A couple champion tshirts and jerseys, and a pair of senior cords from 1969 that i sold alone for $700! I made over $1k off of $25. This was probably my best single find, but i have had a ton of great finds in the last 8 years doing this.
Hey Kevin, congrats on the sales. I'd personally prefer to make $20 profit on a small item than large electronics. I try to stay away from most electronics. The return rate seems to be high and yes as you mentioned more difficult to ship.
i thought it was gonna be “i make my car payment on time, every month” or “yea, seriously. re-selling pays all my bills” 😂 it will get better guys. work hard! carry on, or don’t.. do what you love as often as you can, value your time, and get what your worth that might be reselling, but this can apply to everything. good luck

July was definitely my best month this year. Thanks for all the great suggestions and information you have provided it has definitely helped my sales -Ronni Treasures_and_Wishes
Merry Christmas, Kevin, to you and your lovely family. Thank you for the past year of helpful and fun videos and we are looking forward to your next reselling adventures in 2024.
Mine is making enough money to help pay for our son's college tuition. He is a senior and in the next few days we will make the payment for his final semester. He attends a 4 year private college where he is receiving a very large scholarship, but we have been able to pay for the rest of his schooling outright. He will graduate and neither of us will have any student loan debt. Reselling is fun for me and helps make things possible. Thank you for your videos Kevin and blessing to your family this Christmas season
I quit two terrible jobs this year and reselling has kept me going but it’s not enough for me. I have finally found a new job and it’s better than what I would have taken because reselling gave me the opportunity to be picky. I’m still going to be reselling at the same level because I love it and it’s the best side job because you get what you put in. I sell a good deal of things that would fit with your market place but the audience I have on any of my channels wouldn’t bring much value. My best find last week was a vintage my little pony for fifty cents it looks to be selling for $30-$50.
I’ve only been reselling for about 4 months on eBay and 3 months on PoshMark. I’ve been dragging around a bunch of inherited stuff from my parents & grandparents homes. No one else in the family wanted it but guilted me into never getting rid of it. No more! I gave them one last chance to take what they wanted. I’m selling what is left. I’ve paid storage on it for years or hauled it from home to home. I’m downsizing and selling what I can and donating what I can’t. Only made about $1,000 so far but I’m not out any money on purchase price. December sales were horrible but in January I’m going to list, list, list. Once everything I already have is listed, I’ll start sourcing and picking. But this has shown me just how much I love it. May be a hobby or my primary income, I don’t know yet. But I know I can do it now and I enjoy it. Thanks to resellers like you who taught me and gave me the courage to at least try. My best pick (sorta) was a sterling ring I won on a WhatNot Giveaway and sold for $50.

A lot of precious moments collectors are getting older and downsizing or just dying... like the collector plate collectors before them and so on. Beanie babies was just a fad, and way overproduced. People couldn't afford to keep up and collect them all.
As much as I like reselling, due to health issues, I have decided to retire. I closed all my stores on Christmas day. Hopefully, that will be the best Christmas gift I give myself. I sure am going to miss it but it is a lot of work and I was getting way too stressed causing very high hypertension. Needless to say, I will be living vicariously through your videos and others I watch. Keep up the great work.
November was my best month by far, but I also took most of December off because we have been hit by the "plague" lol. So mostly due to my lack of effort.
Selling online is a full time job for me. This is my only source of income. You are right, it is a lot of work but I do enjoy doing it. Best part is I'm my own boss. One of the best finds for me is finding a redline hot wheel for $1 and sold it for $120. Merry Christmas!
Watching Christmas night 11pm in Atl. Thanks, Kevin. Happy Christmas to all. Rest, recover, restore! You gotta put the oxygen mask on first. :-) Thanks all you do.
I have been having the best month I have had in years. The key, I think is consistency in listing. I end and sell similar 6 old listings a day, and list 6 new ones also. I used to use drafts and now I use both drafts and the scheduled listing tool. I think that having all of your listings start at the same time helps somehow in the algorithms.
December was far and away my best month, but only for eBay. I did sell some on other platforms, but ebay went crazy in December. It's the first time I ever almost hit a $9k 90 day in my 2 years of doing this.
Let the haters hate, they're always gonna lol. I was ALWAYS a treasure hunter who loved flea markets and thrifts JUST for the fun of it, eventually realized I could sell the stuff I was hoarding and didn't care about much but 'couldn't pass up' when I came across it in a goodwill lol. It's not OUR fault these stores wanna up-charge shoppers - There's ALWAYS gonna be a secondary market, when thrifts try to match those prices they just hurt ALL customers whether it's treasure hunters or re-sellers, it puts both parties off on the prices. What ANYONE does with something once they buy it though is their own dang business and NOT hurting anyone else lol.
Been watching for quite some time. Full time Special Education teacher, foster parent, single parent and I sell on eBay for fun. I have been doing it since 2010! My best December sale was vintage Christmas dresses I got for $12 for both and sold for $70.
I have a receiver here that I picked up for free. Should sell for about $60.00. I have had it for months and I haven't listed it yet because I dread packing it up 🤣🤣
The shopping part in the best part. Others parts not so much I have a huge complaint where I lost all my money on Mercari with fed ex shipping and since I use a store scan system I do not have any receipt of weight now I will only use usps…which is considerably higher. Will cost me sales.
Old Gringo Boots $250 on offer. Best this season. Sadly I just finished refunding her because she rented my brand new boots for an event and she then decided they were too tight. 🤬 I gave her 50% back and eBay gave her the other half. And didn’t count it against me. But gosh darn it this one fry’s me to all get out!

Don't pay attention to all noise. You and your family are carving out a life for yourselves and it's fun to watch! Wishing you and your family the best in the coming year!❤
Best sale was actually my daughters. She found a High value watch box at a thrift store & bought it for $8 and sold it for $200. It was an amazing sale for her and I was a more than proud Mama of al she has learned and achieved, it is hard work but fun work most days. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New year.
Best sale this month was a pair of Nike Air Foamposite in Hologram Black. Bought for $11 at Goodwill in September and sold for $160 plus shipping this month! Was also my first item to go through eBay's Authenticity Guarantee process. I started my current reselling journey 6 months ago in mid-June 2023 and this was our largest sale to date. My first over $100 sale was at the beginning of November, beat that at the end of November and this sale was on Dec 4th. December is also our biggest profit month so far! Thanks for all your content, love the videos from both channels and have learned a lot.
It's not easy, there was no media selling when I did reselling, I sold at the flea market on the weekends and worked a 40 hour week, and then gave it up, as hubby and I did foster parenting, that's a hard job also, the system is broken 😊
My 4th quarter sales didnt hit until December but have been amazing all month. I sold a set of 5 World of Tomorrow hardcover books for $175. I also sold twp 5-piece Oneida sterling silver flatware sets on Christmas Eve for $100 each. I bought 50 pieces at my local Goodwill for 25 cents each.
Merry Christmas! Reselling is such a passion of mine! I'll never go back to working for anyone else! I'm very fortunate that I have the ability and support to do this full time. I applied on dibdit but funny thing is I just took all my vintage toys and memorabilia off my Ebay store to put in my antique booth 😂 So if ya do come across my application.. oops 🤣 Hopefully it's fine. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Danbury Mint Georgia Bulldogs Christmas Ornament. Bought for $2.99 at Goodwill and sold for $125 plus shipping. Same day bought a Tennessee Volunteers one for $2.99 and sold for $85 plus shipping. Both sold immediately after posting.
I’ve packaged 8 vcrs 2 tvs 4 pairs of sneakers 15 records a full size croquet set 2 vintage patio chairs and about 190 more items this quarter. This is no easy task but I wouldn’t be doing anything different. My best sale lately was a 9” portable tv from 1949 bought for $30 sold for $225.

I sure wish I would have bought one of those trump dolls. They made me happy.
Merry Christmas mate hope you and your family have a nice Christmas break 👍
Hey Kevin is it true that the shirt and hat a resellers wears are the ones that wouldn't sell in their store? Merry 4th quarter 🎉
It's not easy, there was no media selling when I did reselling, I sold at the flea market on the weekends and worked a 40 hour week, and then gave it up, as hubby and I did foster parenting, that's a hard job also, the system is broken 😊
Great Video and great Sales! Congrats! Too bad I missed the damn it Trump Doll-Would had love to of had one. Merry Christmas again🎄🤗💪♥️🇺🇸🙏
Been reselling for bout two years..was wondering if there is any other good apps to sell stuff on?? Right now only use eBay.thank you
My 4th quarter sales didnt hit until December but have been amazing all month. I sold a set of 5 World of Tomorrow hardcover books for $175. I also sold twp 5-piece Oneida sterling silver flatware sets on Christmas Eve for $100 each. I bought 50 pieces at my local Goodwill for 25 cents each.
I watch your vids at home and look at your ebay store. There was nothing there, today Dec 26th. Was that intended?
Yes taking a week off
@commonwealthflipper fantastic! Happy new year to you and yours!
Its Christmas Day - hope you had a good day with Family Kevin. Thanks for supporting me this Holiday season on whatnot.
Reseller and retiree here. Merry Christmas!
I’m not a reseller, but I enjoy watching you !
Thank you for watching. We appreciate it
@@DDG683 , I’m retired, I have so much in my house, I wish a reseller would have gone through, before I gave so much away, I still have stuff. I’m in Lehigh Valley, Pa
My best sale was a pair of military extreme weather Mickey Mouse boots I bought for $16 and sold for $110.
I’m only in this video a minute and a half and wanted to say thank you! As someone who does this as a third job, I’m tired 😂 but I also love it!
Nice thank you
👍🙂
My best sale was a $10 purchase of an old video camera that I sold for $175. Super stoked!
December was strong for me, even on Christmas Day. My best sell in December was a sealed police precinct board game, picked for $10 sold for $129.99.
I'm lucky I'm retired and I sell on ebay I'm loving it thank you I love your channel keep it up
I'm a full time educator part time reseller and my friends are super supportive and get the work it takes. They know when I come home I'm either photographing or listing. Lol
Full timer. One man band. 2 years at it. I used to keep track, and it wasn't uncommon for a 60 hour week. I have no regrets
