What a wonderfully novel way of making baked potatoes - at least I assume that's what they were.... I thoroughly enjoyed this upload - the engineering of these engines is absolutely incredible. The City of Nottingham was stunning, love to have seen a Duchess of Sutherland - she is my all-time favourite.
Truly superb videography…many thanks for your presentation. I particularly enjoyed the close up views of the locomotive ‘prepping’ and the intricate details inside the cabs. Absolutely fascinating viewing…congratulations to everyone involved from the constructors, crews and the club itself. Regards from Rob in Bournemouth.
Wow i am 78 and never seen a video showing the steps from unloading the car through oiling firing up out on the track and then the steps decommissioning for the trip home. Plus so many fabulous shots of different locos. My hat off to you sir!.
@@HorsleyLandy88 Good to hear you're still interested, your Dad would be proud 🙂 Only name I remember from back then was Bill Percy, he was my mentor. Used to teach me engineering in his workshop. We lost touch when I moved to Wales.
Are there young engineers with hands-on skills, tooled up with milling machine and lathes, building new locos from scratch, still coming into the game?
