Hi Lawrie, a fabulous video of a fantastic exhibition, thank you for visiting and putting it out there. It was great to meet you - sorry I didn't recognise you with your hair down when you were looking at the Jung. I hope that you visit again next year.
The locomotive with the chain drive seen at 5:15 is "Vincent" made by Regner in Germany. It is part of their entry level range which are very reliable and slow running due to being geared down. I own an earlier, simpler model which has given many hours of trouble free operation.
I went to this show for the first time on the Sunday. I used to go the exhibitions at Alexandra Palace and the Midlands Show. The Lowestoft show is far better. Spent ages talking to the man with the 9F and crane and also with the uncle/nephew team in the next room. Great event. Well worth a visit.
Hi Lawrie, just caught up with this. Great video and awesome coverage. Thanks for covering Cato Inferno, was a real pleasure to meet you, even if we can't agree on how to spell our names lol. The locos are an A4, two P2s, and GWR railcar and a Steampunk Leander all modified further on here, in case anyone was wondering. I do regular railways too but this is great as an eye-catcher to bring to shows. Regards, Laurie,
Well that's a nice exhibition. With a nice variety. The "contraption" you mention, is "Vincent" from REGNER Dampftechnik company in germany. Impressive cranes and nice model boats also. The R2D2 is nice. The steampunk layout is also nice in his own kind, its a break from the "normal" layout theme
My dad's best friend Mike Chrisp retired from teaching mechanical engineering to become technical editor of Model Engineer magazine. I grew up around this stuff, and I bloody love it. I am incredibly jealous of my wife's cousin Quentin Haigh, who has driven a 9F on the main line.
It's a fabulous show, and congratulations to all the people who make it happen each year. I was there on the Saturday and helped to crash the ship in the simulator so badly the system did a total reset! 😂😂
I saw a RC truck on Facebook marketplace the other day and it had the best possible trailer to go with it which was a low loader with a traction engine on it. Sadly at £800 it was a bit too expensive for me to buy.
lawrie im so bloody envious that you got to go to this absolutely insane event WHY DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN RURAL ALABAMA WHERE THERES NO TRAIN STUFF WHHYYYYYYY
@@lmm I wonder if it's the model from Wolsztyn, since the Experience is closed and IIRC they were selling it to someone. I bought some video tapes, a mug and a picture.

The Kriegslok model looks just like the one that was in Wolsztyn, I wonder if it's the same model. It is impressive.
Both built from card!
