I couldn't believe none of thai authorities has never provide any pennies to the foundation. Despite the foundation create local jobs, improving environment and helping all animals. I am speakless as most of the donations were from aboard. ....
one of top atraction of tourists to Thailand is the existence of elephants .but i believe the tourists will more a lot to see elephant in open land, feet free all of the time from chain, far from bloody training of any cruel job
@@Automedon2 is the Thai king making sure the elephants are happy where they live. Are those phants getting treated with kindness and compassion and being made to feel joyful?
@@cleareyes2254 That is right. The elephants must be in a sanctuary and completely free from being forced to do labor or to learn tricks (which is done by trainers being cruel to them). In the sanctuaries though, the phants aren't made to have to do anything, no work, and no tricks. Those lucky happy phants are set free into many green acres to roam and play and do whatever they want whenever they want. Alot of it is playing and rolling in the mud, dipping in the river, and hugging and petting each other with their trunks, the most natural and pleasuring things for these phants to do. No one ever tells them to stop, they're allowed to do these things any times of the day or night. And as a result, these phants feel true joy and bliss. These phants feel such pure and simple joy because they don't have the complex brains that we have. They get alot of very simple pleasures from their very simple pleasant activities such as them running, playing, swimming, dipping and sliding in mud, eating food fixed for them, and being very affectionate (all the trunk hugging/petting/smelling each other's mouths and ears) with each other with the naturally high levels of compassion that they feel. Bless those happy lucky phants
I love watching the elephants, such a majestic animal. Why do people treat them so mean? They should be able to roam around freely like the ones in the video. Thanks for caring for these wonderful elephants.
Fantastic compilation of footage of the elephants at this amazing place which is so much needed & I'm so glad for the work they do. I must go there one day
Oh I just loved this! A lot of people post video, that's only a few seconds up to 3 or 4 minutes. This was a good compilation of all the ele's and doing different things. I see this is from 3 years ago, but still THANK YOU for sharing this was really good 😊
This foundation must be provided some penny from the govt even jut for there foods on everyday basis..it's a good foundation helping both humans and creatures.
Where is Kabu ? She is supposed to be there. She has a broken leg ,was rescued and taken there. If anyone has info I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
+timber Tragically many of the former work elefants, suffers leg damages either by the leg getting crushed by logs or they break it, and don't get treated. It missed a foot, it must have had it amputated when it got rescued, they are training it to stay strong in the muscles, it will properly get a foot in plast put on, it's proven they can handle it very well and live as normal. They only amputate in situation where there is already to much damage done or infection, to save it's life
+dearnapst ah ok. At first I was like why are they making that poor elephant walk? Then I thought they might be doing physical therapy on the elephant... yeah, these poor elephants endure a lot. I'm happy that Elephant Nature Park exists to help these lovely elephants
What was with the one elephant in the pen who seemed to have trouble moving a bad leg. The leg looked shorter than the other 3. I realize that the people in the video either help pay for ENP , or are working there. But I found it depressing that so many people are in these elephants spaces/face constantly. When I see this constant human contact in numbers that are close to over crowding the elephants, I know we as a species will never leave them alone and Truly free. This constant crowding of humans, the smell of us, the prodding by us to go here and now over there, the interference into what they choose to do with their days is not just seen at ENP, but all wildlife sanctuaries. We use the excuse of setting them free from human abuse, and then intrude upon their space, their privacy, their wish to be left completely alone from humans, and say we have to do the tourist trade or we couldn't rescusr them. We humans will forever be in the faces of animals we have abused, or nearly exterminated. Then we'll congratulate ourselves for saving the lucky few.
Just curious, why do people have to be all around the elephants? It doesn't look as if they're really free to roam where ever they want. Just so many people! Way too many!
I can't stand these shouting and yelling mahouts! These beautiful giants have heard enough of them for a lifetime. However, the sanctuary is a nice place (no riding, no bullhooks, no chains, no painting or other tricks), but too many tourists around the elephants. I've watch numerous videos, but never seen where they keep the males, except "my" beautiful and playful Navann boy I've only seen in a fenced area alone playing in a pool with his favorite ball. Where are the other males? Well, I trust Lek (the founder of ENP), so let's hope they're roaming free in their own beautiful environment.
They only have I think two or three bulls. It’s a lot smaller than the rest of the park, sure, but for much less elephants. It’s sort of opposite of the main tourist area (the big building in the center. Sort of walled off.
Sif Ragnhildardóttir as for the mahouts, I think they’re shouting because most of the elephants unfortunately lost much of their hearing due to the sons of bitches that tortured them for years.
They have one bull who has his own area and herd of younger females. They had to separate him from the older girls because they have to many hip and leg injuries to be able to breed . And when a bull is in mushy he is uncontrollable and will hurt everything around him so they put him in a separate pen during that time
John I wonder how the elephants feel having humans around them every single day? They have no privacy. They are treated better at Elephant Nature Park, but they basically live in a zoo:(
Proud to be American I’d say it’s more than a zoo. They have, what, 200 acres? Yeah, not exactly a lot but it’s a hell of a lot better than a zoo. These animals, at least most of them, stand no chance in the wild, something which I’m sure we all regret incredibly deeply. I, for one, do. They had no control in that matter and didn’t deserve what came to them, but unfortunately for them, a lot of us humans are fucking bastards with no moral compass, and a desire to have more money than goddamned sense. So they suffered unimaginably, and didn’t deserve it. They lost their chance in the wild. This is a tragedy, there’s no other word for it. While ENP recognizes that no entity can ever revert said tragedy, they do realize that they can try to minimalism its current damage, and seek to do it. Think of ENP as a retirement home. These animals suffered and can’t live in the wild, but there suffering needs to end. They get send to ENP, and live the rest of their days out in peace, with family and company. Eventually, ENP hopes to have more land to have a more wild experience for these animals, away from mahouts and people. In any case, it’s much different from a zoo. It’s a hospital, a retirement home, and a playground. It’s a home, most importantly. They deserve a much better home, yes. But they need ENP right now, because it’s the best they got.
they need the tourist money to function they have to pay for the food and medical etc they will be having a really difficult time getting thru the lockdown
I love Elephant so much May God bless these beautiful innocent animals 🐘❤️🙏

The Thai king owns many bull elephants they use in parades - all living in "royal stables' in stalls the size of a two car garage.

I heart the mighty(and cute)elephants!
God Bless Our Elephants
The elephants are independent in this sanctuary, not like other tourist camp where the people ride on them..
This sanctuary doesn't have people ride on the elephants & the volunteers work in preparing food & helping out. 🐘
Good! Folk need to stay off elephants!!

what's happening to the elephant @ 0:38? it looks like it's struggling to walk

Is this likely why all those elephants got really excited in that one scene near the end of this video?
Why is the chap yelling @ the elephant in the shelter? It seemed very distressed poor thing!!
Just curious, why do people have to be all around the elephants? It doesn't look as if they're really free to roam where ever they want. Just so many people! Way too many!
I know. Lek has added another section to the park where elephants live in the jungle with no human contact.
@@Automedon2 That is so good to know. Thank you.
