Yeah, without context that surely is pretty confusing. It looks lighter than the comic, anyway
It's truly one of the greatest comic book parodies ever made.
And it doesn't pull punches. It shits equally on the JL, the Avengers, X-Men, Stan Lee, the 60s Marvel bullpen, comic book stories and the Mark Millar fad of having superheroes as weapons of war.
They'll have the biggest balls of all time if the 9/11 scene makes it to the final show.

They better include the scene where that family wins a dinner with The Homelander and he just takes them to the highest point in the sky in their car and just drops them after telling them life means nothing and God isn't real.

This teaser is funny, to say the least. It also makes sense when you realise that in The Boys universe, Superheroes are the equivalent of corrupt celebrities, so when the "Boys" themselves give the finger to the TV at the end, it's pretty much the series flipping the bird at celebrity douchebags!
Besides which, it's refreshing to see Superheroes as a metaphor for corrupt celebrities again...

It does get gory....they showed more footage at the NYCC panel (I was there). I saw blood splatter

I don't think it's gonna be as gory as comics, but Amazon shows can be quite violent, so it's gonna be pretty gory.

I really hope they don't go and change some of the best parts or make character and story revisions that miss the whole point like they did with *Preacher* .
I can so see them trying to make Wee Hughie too much or not enough of a wanker, make Butcher not enough of a psycho (or try to expand on his backstory with his wife), or tone down the insanity.
Man I'm real worried about Hughie being played by an American. Also I still don't like that Butcher has a beard.
@@ham1672 Butcher having a beard is ok, as long as his character is the same. Hughie being played by an American is worrisome, but if the actor pulls it off then no worries. Plenty of Europeans play great Americam actors
Differences are bound to happen, which is alright with me if it stays true to the tone of the source material.

I’m so torn on this. I love the cast, but they’re already saying none of The Boys will have been injected with Compound V. That’s a huge change, and it affects, like, 90% of the story.
