It is honestly a blessing that I have a very similar skin type to Karima. No one else does such nice, in depth foundation reviews! (That being said, I love Hourglass to death but will probably be skipping this one. A sliiight bit too matte and too dry for my patchiness that likes to creep up.)
I have oily combination skin and I do find this foundation starts to look shiny and wear off. Having said that the finish is stunning so I tend to save it for occasions when I know I'm only headed somewhere a few hours but want a polished look!
Hey Karima! Could you do a video with your foundation recommendation for specific events (wedding - flash photos/festivals - sweating/etc)? :) "Mummy is that you?" ahaha such a funny edit
Karima, your foundation first impressions are the most satisfying videos to watch. I really enjoy how meticulously you deal with every single detail when trying out a new product. Love from Italy
Would love to see a review of the new ABH Foundation Sticks. I know they're marketed towards oily skin but Norvina did recommend that it should work on dry skin with a oil serum/primer underneath. Would love to hear your opinion!
My skin is normal but sometimes can lean combination/dry. Never oily. I wanted to love this and tried it with several dif primers--so helpful to see that it wore the same on your unprimed side. It ended up sitting on top of the skin and showing lines where I had never noticed lines before on fresh skin or other foundations. Also exaggerated even the slightest dryness. I have never worked so hard to get a product to work before! Sadly, I realized it wasn't for me! Maybe I will try it again in the summer!
I literally just reviewed this on my blog today! I have dry skin and was super pleasantly surprised by this as well. I found that it caught ever so slightly on dry patches, but if I prepped my skin well before I had no issues at all. I also really loved the wear time, which I didn't expect given how emollient it feels upon application!
Hi Karima, can you do a video on your studio? Take us on a tour? Tell us why you decided to have one and the process it took to get it up and running? I'm very interested. Thanks!
Love this foundation because it is the closest skin match, doesn't oxidize, and is so easy to apply. However, I get REALLY oily with it (I have very oily skin). I think I'm going to put it away until the weather gets a little drier and see how it does
I'm around your skin color and the buff works for me. It adjusts to skin tone somewhat. But let us know what color you end up getting bc I think I could go a tad darker but not much
I have dry combination skin, I think I have similar skin type like yours, have tried quite a few foundations mostly high end, but I found them all ok not amazing. Until last week got a sample from Suqqu few days ago, it's their extra rich cream foundation, and OMG, I never knew there's a foundation in this world such amazing as this one! I doesn't cling to dry patches, not heavy( the name can be misleading lol), and makes the face look radiant and flawless all day I mean ALL day, the texture doesn't changed much at the end of the day. You have to try this!
Love your videos Karima! You are very specific and knowledgable on your products...I love forward to your videos every week (wish we could have Karima video several times a week! But alas, life gets busy)
I just bought this foundation and I love it! My skin type is dry and it lasted really well all day, although I did notice it settling into fine lines around my mouth after a few hours but that's my only complaint. I also love how quick it is to apply! I'm glad you liked it too (:
Could you do the Ride or Die tag?? I've just found your videos (binged watch sooo many of them) and would love to know what are your all time favorites!
I got this stick and It sets so fast and shows all my dry patches . I’m glad I didn’t pay full price, but I’m trying to make it work bc it’s so pretty and lush
Your comments are so helpful. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm about NC25 and with olive undertones. Possibly about NC20 right now for winter, so I'm having the most difficult time finding a match. I got linen, because I thought it was darker than bisque (and I don't think it is, linen is more yellow and bisque is yellow neutral), but it totally washes me out. I love the formula but nothing is really matching me dead on. Although Ivory kind of looks like me with a tan (NC27ish--for some reason when I tan I look more red undertoned as opposed to when I'm untanned and I look neutral-yellow). LOL. I honestly think the descriptions from hourglass are kind of off because Ivory is a little bit olivey-cool.
Thank you so much for this review - I'm super curious about this foundation now! I already have the brush, which is divine, and didn't think I needed the foundation, but I now think I was wrong... 😆 Let us know what shade you are when you get matched (I'm usually the same shade as you). X
I heard so many people rave about it, I decided to try it out. 😔I did not like it. I have dry skin. When I applied it, it made my skin flaky and I had a lot of dry patches.
Yes! This would be great. ✨😊 It seems olive toned foundations are rather rare, especially if you're pale, most light foundations lean pretty hard to the pink side. 😬
I love your foundation reviews!! I always think of getting samples of whatever you love just to see if I'll love it too. Definitely gonna go to Mecca and get a sample of this!!
Wow your skin is perfection without the foundation!! After application it looked sooooo natural also like u didn't have anything on at all. I luv this foundation!!
You're so funny!! I get dry patches and normally hate stick foundations too but I find that if I mix in cream or oil, it makes it super dewy and smooth!! Try it...I think you will love it!
love your videos! I have very dehydrated slightly dry skin and I think this foundation would look too cakey and matte on my skin and would probably settle into any fine lines. Oh well...
Great video Karima. I found pretty much the same as you with this foundation. I've got it in the shade Linen and I have dry skin. The only thing I found that I really didn't like is that it came off quite a lot anywhere I was touching my face. Other than that, I love it. I used a By Terry Soft Oval Expert Brush to apply and it went on beautifully :-) Definitely a keeper.
Hi Karima! How would you compare it to the MUFE Ultra HD Stick Foundation? Which one do you think it's better? Love watching your videos, they're very informative and I really rely on your reviews! :) Hugs from Italy
This looks really good - not much product, but would be great for travel, and for an older, drier skin? Good review! Do you think the brush is necessary, or would any buffing brush work?
Did you stray from the gray-toned eyebrow filler?? You look lovely as always and this review was insightful! I almost bought this, but considering it clung to dry patches, I'll pass on it. Thank you :)
Hi Karima! Thanks for the review. Love, love love your videos! I feel you would love the new MUFE Waterblend (previously Face and Body) foundation. Specially as you like the finish of Koh Gen doh. One thing though, make sure you work the foundation into the skin to activate the filmform; think Mac F&B. The more the formula is worked, the thicker it gets. In my opinion, it's one of the best foundations released of late; I prefer it to MUFE Ultra HD and Koh Gen Doh. You have to try it! Shade range is amazing too. (P.s: I'm not a sales rep for MUFE I swear !! Xxx )
Ugh. This so did not work for me. I have dehydrated skin. It clung to dry patches AND weirdly also made me look oily and emphasized pores. But I know it looks UH-mazing on some peeps.
Hi Karima, have you tried the new foundation and concealers by Kat Von D - the "lock-it" collection? They advertise 24-hour wear! Could you please test it out?
I don't know if this is available in Australia yet, but have you thought about trying the new Anastasia foundation stick? I'd love to know what you think, you're so thorough in your foundation reviews!
Hi Karima have you tried the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Stick Foundation? It is my favourite and I am normally not a stick foundation kind of girl ;-) Always love you videos, many thanks!
Karima!! Can you please try out the tarte shape tape concealer and the smashbox studio skin concealer? I think you might like those, the tarte one has nice coverage, good staying power, and doesn't crease/emphasize lines while the smashbox one looks very natural! I'd love to know your thoughts on those(:
Ah Karima! Great video as per, but could you possibly elaborate on dealing with dermatitis on your face? I'ver had it on my hand and legs for years but it's around my eyes and mouth too this year - I have no idea how to treat it and doctors have been little use. It would be great to hear your recommendations, as I usually get on well with products suggested by you. Thanks! xx
+Sophie Makes Up Mine is sporadic and mild so I treat it with hydrocortisone cream. Sounds like yours is classified as more chronic, have you had a full allergy scan? Determined if there is anything in your environment that could be causing contact dermatitis? A lot of washing detergents cause my skin to flare up. Xx
Good to know! Thanks for your input. We have two kittens, and I'm a bit allergic to cats so I think that they're the most likely culprit but as you say, washing irritants aren't the best. Thanks for your advise! xx
I really wish you would have swatched the shades on your face down to your neck to compare our skin to yours against the shades would be really helpful
Those come in more than 20 shades as I remembered. Some are actually used for highlights or contour, so I guess you could use all 3 shades you have at the moment.
There are so many foundations that pretty much only look good on people with amazing skin. Dx Gah. I lurrrve the finish of this foundation on you. Wish it would look as good on myself. I like the music you picked for the end card by the way. 🎶✌️
I know of a youtuber/beauty guru whose perfect match was the stick in Natural but she was like "it's not my match because it's gray and the other one adds color to my face!" and i was screaming to myself "BUT BABY THATS UR UNDERTONEEEE"
loving your foundation reviews!pls do a review of the hyped by terry loose powder, I really wanna know your opinions on it. Also the Surrat beauty foundation if possible XD
I wish you wore less foundation because you have skin that doesn't need it. At one layer you looked perfect. If I had your skin I wouldn't wear foundation I'd just wear tinted creams :) You're so lucky to have this skin ❤️
LMAO THAT 'MUMMY IS THAT YOU' BIT! HAHA love the video karima!
😂😘
Chloe Morello I laughed sooo hard 😂😂
It is honestly a blessing that I have a very similar skin type to Karima. No one else does such nice, in depth foundation reviews! (That being said, I love Hourglass to death but will probably be skipping this one. A sliiight bit too matte and too dry for my patchiness that likes to creep up.)

thankyou so much for doing a flash test!! no one ever does it and that's all I look for! one of the best reviews I've seen xxx
Yay! Glad you found it helpful! x
Hey Karima! Could you do a video with your foundation recommendation for specific events (wedding - flash photos/festivals - sweating/etc)? :)
"Mummy is that you?" ahaha such a funny edit

You remind me of Spencer from Pretty Little Liars! Love your videos x
IKR? I commented on that on her last video too :-)
your reviews are the best! So informative and you always help me make a good decision. Also, "mummy is that you?" had me crying!
Glad you enjoyed the video 😁 xx
Hi Karima, can you do a video on your studio? Take us on a tour? Tell us why you decided to have one and the process it took to get it up and running? I'm very interested. Thanks!
Maybe at some stage, when it's fully furnished :) x
Can't wait! I find it very empowering to learn and see how other women succeed.
Love this foundation because it is the closest skin match, doesn't oxidize, and is so easy to apply. However, I get REALLY oily with it (I have very oily skin). I think I'm going to put it away until the weather gets a little drier and see how it does
Fingers crossed it works for you in the drier season! x
I'm around your skin color and the buff works for me. It adjusts to skin tone somewhat. But let us know what color you end up getting bc I think I could go a tad darker but not much
it looked super pink/peach even on her hand. it's not really skin color, but skin tone. she has an olive tone so it wouldn't match her well!
I have dry combination skin, I think I have similar skin type like yours, have tried quite a few foundations mostly high end, but I found them all ok not amazing. There was actually two videos this week lol xx
Oh how strange! Didn't get my notification for that video...
Another Karima video to enjoy yay!
Yes please
Loved this video, the foundation looks really nice! And I love the way you look with that pink lipstick and no mascara, so editorial! 😍
I got this stick and It sets so fast and shows all my dry patches . I’m glad I didn’t pay full price, but I’m trying to make it work bc it’s so pretty and lush
have you tried the Bobbi Brown skin foundation stick? it's great!
I love all of your first impressions! You're always so eloquent and well spoken in your videos, and they're always fun to watch ♥

all the lols to the x-files excerpt! great review hehe x
I am light olive too and "warm ivory" is a good match for me. Just slightly dark in winter.
So happy to see a video from you!! I look forward to your videos the most xx
😘
This is the best and most thorough review I've seen. And I've been on the fence. But i definitely will be giving it a shot. Thanks for this video.
You're my favourite Karima! So informative! And thanks for the Mac colour reference in the description it's so helpful! :)
It's all approximate but hopefully gives you guys an idea :) x
i love your personality and your tutorials!
Thank you so much for this review - I'm super curious about this foundation now! I already have the brush, which is divine, and didn't think I needed the foundation, but I now think I was wrong... 😆 Let us know what shade you are when you get matched (I'm usually the same shade as you). X
thank you for the great review:)
could you do the ride or die tag? I would be really interested in seeing the products you like most!:) xx
i love this makeup look on you karima! the hot pink lips looks pretty on you :)
I heard so many people rave about it, I decided to try it out. 😔I did not like it. I have dry skin. When I applied it, it made my skin flaky and I had a lot of dry patches.
Karima can you do a video on olive toned foundations. It's so hard finding foundation for my skin tone.
Yes! This would be great. ✨😊 It seems olive toned foundations are rather rare, especially if you're pale, most light foundations lean pretty hard to the pink side. 😬
Yes, I'm pale, olive and I've got terribly dry skin so I've got a pretty hard time finding an affordable, good foundation :/ I'd love a video on that!
+Nancy W like way hard to the pink side. I feel you girl!
she has a list of olive foundations on her blog!

Fabulous, no one does a review like you! Also a fantastic coincidence that we run the same colour. Makes my makeup life easy breezy! x

I love your foundation reviews!! I always think of getting samples of whatever you love just to see if I'll love it too. Definitely gonna go to Mecca and get a sample of this!!

Hi Karima! How would you compare it to the MUFE Ultra HD Stick Foundation? Which one do you think it's better? Love watching your videos, they're very informative and I really rely on your reviews! :) Hugs from Italy
Federica Abbro if u have dryer skin go the MUFE stick!! But they both emphasise pores if that’s an issue
I'm so scared to click the link and see how much it costs! Thanks for the perf review, as per usual!
This looks really good - not much product, but would be great for travel, and for an older, drier skin? Good review! Do you think the brush is necessary, or would any buffing brush work?
I think any synthetic buffing brush would work well! x
Hey Karima would you consider doing reviews on bb creams and tinted moisturizers?
Can you do the Jaclyn hill ride or die tag?! Love you!
Thank you Karima! I would love to know how this compares to Make up For Ever's foundation stick. Anyone tried both? 😀
😭😭❤️❤️ thank u for paying attention to our requests
Always 😘
This video makes me want this foundation.
Did you stray from the gray-toned eyebrow filler?? You look lovely as always and this review was insightful! I almost bought this, but considering it clung to dry patches, I'll pass on it. Thank you :)
Omg you are so gorgeous!!! ❤️❤️❤️ love all your videos!
Thanks Miranda :) x

Haha I was sent two shades and neither match :( I'll pick up my correct shade and feature it! x
will be picking this up in linen.
love your reviews! straight to the point i dont need to skip your video🥰❤️
love how you kept rubbing your face with the brush :D
Have you tried the tom ford stick? Would love to know the comparison! x
you are the best! always trust your opinion! 😘
You're supposed to to add a certain amount. Fir certain coverage and you're supposed to do small circle motions with the brush
It looks gorgeous!! But I guess the studio lighting always gives a great look to the Skin! And it's so darn expensive... :(
Exactly. Studio lights, Karima's great-looking skin, the price... Not like I'm dying to invest my money
Can u try the Sisley foundation want to know your thoughts on that
Thank you for the review. Is there any chance you might do the ABH one as well?
If I can get my hands on it! x
You make me want to buy this but it's so little product for so much money :(
Ugh. This so did not work for me. I have dehydrated skin. It clung to dry patches AND weirdly also made me look oily and emphasized pores. But I know it looks UH-mazing on some peeps.
Oh no 😓 That's a pity! x
Hi Karima, have you tried the new foundation and concealers by Kat Von D - the "lock-it" collection? They advertise 24-hour wear! Could you please test it out?

Have you tried the Tom Ford foundation stick, and if so how would you compare them? I loveeee the TF one
The Tom Ford was a bit patchy and powdery on my skin, sadly! x
Hi Karima have you tried the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Stick Foundation? It is my favourite and I am normally not a stick foundation kind of girl ;-) Always love you videos, many thanks!
And I have not tried the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick yet. I am not sure I will.
FYI, I have sensitive normal/combination skin.
Still yet to try that one! x
Karima!! Can you please try out the tarte shape tape concealer and the smashbox studio skin concealer? I think you might like those, the tarte one has nice coverage, good staying power, and doesn't crease/emphasize lines while the smashbox one looks very natural! Love the look of that foundation! I will have to get one for myself :D

You deserve a thumbs up, not only for the amazing review video, but for that "Mummy is that you?" moment!!! Perfect!!!! XD
😂 xx

Hi Karima what's the color/brand your wearing here? It looks good on you. Thanks.
Colour/brand of what? X
I know of a youtuber/beauty guru whose perfect match was the stick in Natural but she was like "it's not my match because it's gray and the other one adds color to my face!" and i was screaming to myself "BUT BABY THATS UR UNDERTONEEEE"
Love your video! Great job, Karima! Love from Brooklyn, New York! :0)
Karima, I could watch you all day. you have no idea how adorable you are! love from India. ❤
❤️❤️
Have you ever tried the MUF ultra hd stick foundation? I love it for my dry skin! It's medium buildable coverage and looks gorgeous on!
I'm with you on that one! I have very dry skin and I love the MUFE HD stick foundation (hated the original liquid formula though).
Umm, those lashes! So fluttery, love them. Appreciate the concise review x
But it has ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate! That's a sunscreen component in abundant amount in Vanish
But it wouldn't provide flashback anyway since it's an organic compound that works by absorbing UVB instead of reflecting
Wow, links to buy for people from three countries! Thorough! ☺🙌
😉 Trying to include everyone! x
loving your foundation reviews!pls do a review of the hyped by terry loose powder, I really wanna know your opinions on it. Also the Surrat beauty foundation if possible XD
karima, your eyebrows 😍
what's with her eyebrows?
+hisss questions I put a heart eyes emoji, insinuating that I think they are perfect.
Feelin' the no eye makeup + bold brow situation 😉 xx
Aiden Vega oh sorry i am on my computer x
I wish you wore less foundation because you have skin that doesn't need it. At one layer you looked perfect. If I had your skin I wouldn't wear foundation I'd just wear tinted creams :)
You're so lucky to have this skin ❤️
That would be a pretty limited foundation review though, no? x
+Karima McKimmie maybe, you know best. To me all foundations look the same layered, the catch is the initial application
Loved the video
How does it compare to Armani luminous silk under photography/flash? Xxx
psssst Karima, talk mom into letting you do her makeup :P
"One day when I have my hair done nicely" -----> proceeds to cut own hair. 😐
Karima McKimmie lolololololooololololol moms are fantastic lol
Karima what is your favourite sunscreen to wear under makeup?
Shiseido but they are alcohol heavy xx
