Literally peak Trivium vocals; Corey's got an edge, Matt's harsh cleans are perfection(apart from the 2 cracks), his normals cleans are fantastic and his screams are downright demonic, Paolo unintentionally added a bit of rasp which made the bridges hit that much harder
I don't think you knew this, but Nick was Travis' drum tech, so that's actually Nick back there with a beard and a beany on. Look at his body tone, it's definitely him.
i remember first time i saw them was feb 7, 2009 when they were opening for slipknot. was my first concert ever, and i was there with my friend. kirisute gomen was the first song they played and literally after they finished playing the solos for kirisute gomen me and my friend were in shock of how sick it was and i turned to him and was like "i wanna learn how to play guitar now" and have been playing ever since. so trivium, especially this song inspired me to play guitar. my fav band ever!!!
@tonmandude Well, for the case of Disturbed, I think the label let them have one last headline tour before their hiatus, plus they were trailing out of Asylum's touring cycle.
@FreddySeeFreddyDo dude slipknot pick them to open up for them i think they should of only had trivium then slipknot and just give trivium a longer time slot Trivium is sic! but its Slipknot!
Megadeth opening for Godsmack and Disturbed? That is the most fucked up shit I've ever heard of. Megadeth is one of the legendary thrash bands on par with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer. And they're opening for some generic rock bands?
actually Gibsons are just amazing guitars and can be used for heavy metal (James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett both use numerous Gibsons) and Jacksons are the second best metal guitars behind ESP
I've heard that matt will have a sig 7 string explorer (gibson) and corey will stay with jackson. Yeah Dean wasn't that bad but they didn't like the quality of their imports sigs. Hope i helped ^^
@TheBlackScarecrow Thanks. This is actually my old one, a Panasonic PV-GS180. I now use a Canon HV20 which is hi-def and much better. Check out my channel
@pantera4lyf i think he is supposed to sing higher than the lead singer. all of the videos i have seen of this live he was always putting too much emphasis on certain parts
dude, I'm a razorback and Dean fan, but I'm Afraid Jacksons and Gibsons can't be underestimated like this. I just find it a matter of tastes more than which one is better; but man, you might change your mind after you try some jacksons and gibsons axes
OMFG faut trop que j aille les voir jles ai manqué une fois kan y sont venus en ontario avec all that remains pis Human abstract ..la jai pas le choix dy aller
i think the main reason that caused a lot of..uhh. disapproval? one of matt's 7 strings broke on stage from something simple. like matt wasnt even doing an antic like it totally broke cause he dropped it or something.... really sad tho, there was a lot of hype about them both doing dean considering they had dime's guitars for a few years. but i guess stuff happens.
Literally peak Trivium vocals; Corey's got an edge, Matt's harsh cleans are perfection(apart from the 2 cracks), his normals cleans are fantastic and his screams are downright demonic, Paolo unintentionally added a bit of rasp which made the bridges hit that much harder
All valid points, man!
Prime days of trivium. When matts voice was powerful' songs were fast energy was high up
His voice was better back then for sure. Their most recent album features plenty of energy, though. And first comment in a while, respect!
I don't think you knew this, but Nick was Travis' drum tech, so that's actually Nick back there with a beard and a beany on. Look at his body tone, it's definitely him.
god he was not that good at creating drums for Trivium. In Waves was sub par.
This intro is intense, nothing can beat the feeling you get as the song opens.
matt vocals sounds fucking good!
Dude, imagine if Alex bent played for trivium back then, they would have been even more unstoppable
Certainly would’ve been interesting. Band is getting better with age!
Watching my old videos, almost forgot Paulo had long hair!
True man he's really bad ass with that hair. I wonder why he never grow that hair back till this day?? lol
He cut it short that summer
i remember first time i saw them was feb 7, 2009 when they were opening for slipknot. was my first concert ever, and i was there with my friend. kirisute gomen was the first song they played and literally after they finished playing the solos for kirisute gomen me and my friend were in shock of how sick it was and i turned to him and was like "i wanna learn how to play guitar now" and have been playing ever since. so trivium, especially this song inspired me to play guitar. my fav band ever!!!
for most rounded musicians who are not rich, buying a guitar based on its sound for playing in one particular genre is not value for money
that high scream matt did before the last minute was fucking amaazing 0.0
@desolutionwimm same except a concert in england
And theyre gonna be playing shattering the skies above there *drool*
the day before my birthday what a kickass show
song gives me shivers down my spine
Yeah he is now. From what has been going around triviumworld is that he is gettin a signature 7 string.
Now that's a concert I wouldn't mind going to :) Both are fucking awesome!
Great quality btw, thanks for uploading.
WTF WAS DOING TRIVIUM OPENING FOR SLIPKNOT?!
Carlos Freites i had a stroke reading this
Fuck Slipknot
couldn't agree more
ohhhhhhhhh my godddddddddddddddddddddd this cant be fuckin real the todays trivium is not fuckin trivium. this is the real TRIVIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed! Awesome video!
DAMNIT...i really wanted to see Matt's solo
Oh!!! the rock hand sign thing! bad ass man thnx lol.
HE WHO WALKS THE FIREE BREATHES
DO YOU WANT TO BUY A FRIDGE
@FreddySeeFreddyDo Fucking right all hail the almighty Trivium!!!!!!
This band rocks so hard!!!!
TRIVIUM is the best.
anyone remember this set list?
man I was annoyed that they only played for 30 min >.
badass quality man!
Damned great live version.
great live
Thanks for the Great video
Wow ça sonnait en 2009 ! La voix ! Et c'est tight !
@tonmandude Well, for the case of Disturbed, I think the label let them have one last headline tour before their hiatus, plus they were trailing out of Asylum's touring cycle.
i actually felt like crying when they didnt play this when i saw them! :(
@surgeyX Its an epiphone flying V seven string. Nothing too expensive and it fucking rocks
@FreddySeeFreddyDo dude slipknot pick them to open up for them i think they should of only had trivium then slipknot and just give trivium a longer time slot Trivium is sic! but its Slipknot!
Perfect.
100% right!!
I'm not pretty sure, but it should be a King V (but his signature Dean in the video)
killswitch is great so is trivium. trivium is my fav
@getsome9256
thats not matts v its just a rare seven string epiphone v, only available in epiphone but they are hard to come across
Cool!
ya its an Epiphone 7-string custom v but Gibson is making matt a custom 7-string explorer
@Colton527
I didn't know epiphone made 7 string Vs...is it discontinued?
Yeah I love that scream at 5:15!!
he put tape on the dean logo since they aren't endorsed by dean anymore
Megadeth opening for Godsmack and Disturbed? That is the most fucked up shit I've ever heard of. Megadeth is one of the legendary thrash bands on par with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer. And they're opening for some generic rock bands?

Well, that is an Epiphone, but Gibson does make 7 string Explorers ;)
As Freddy said, Gibson made him a custom.
@lobster272 i like KSE but i honestly think that AILD is the best Metalcore band out there right now
It's the first one ever made. It's basically his "signature gibson"
what model does corey use? cuz there arent that many good jackson guitars out there...
one lucky bastard.........
@arsqqa666 Thats the same question I asked at Mayhem this year. Why were Trivium and Megadeth opening for Godsmack and Disturbed? No idea.
I've heard that matt will have a sig 7 string explorer (gibson) and corey will stay with jackson. Yeah Dean wasn't that bad but they didn't like the quality of their imports sigs. Hope i helped ^^
hey did matt make his flying v purchaseable
Do you know why does trivium abandoned that company (which Deant and Ddrums are part of)?
why is paolos mic so fucking loud
oh my bad thought you were talkin about heafy
hahaha paolos vocals are super loud compared to heafy. still my favorite band. and GREAT! sound quality on the video. Kudos. : )
@FreddySeeFreddyDo hell fucking ya!
juke box hero by foreigner or running with the devil by van halen, im not sure witch one came first.
@TheBlackScarecrow
Thanks. This is actually my old one, a Panasonic PV-GS180.

that is one amazing camera. what kind is that?
did corey break a string right before the chorus at the end?
trivium ley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn major drum fuk up at 4:34-4:44
OMFG faut trop que j aille les voir jles ai manqué une fois kan y sont venus en ontario avec all that remains pis Human abstract ..la jai pas le choix dy aller
@Colton527 nick is good, a bit slower and by the books but like you said, it's his own style. travis was fast, technical, and on drugs...lol
i think the main reason that caused a lot of..uhh. disapproval? one of matt's 7 strings broke on stage from something simple. like matt wasnt even doing an antic like it totally broke cause he dropped it or something....
really sad tho, there was a lot of hype about them both doing dean considering they had dime's guitars for a few years. but i guess stuff happens.
Is that a 7-stringed Gibson Flying V?
That's your opinion.
I'm not shure of that but I thought that they wasn't satisfied in those companys... ?
paolo
Godsmack and Disturbed are more marketable bands. It's really simple
gibson? thats different. what happened to dean?
what vid does it say its a Epiphone ?
thats not a gibson, gibson doesnt make 7 string guitars, this is an epiphone.
um all of them. i really think theyre just ok.
whoa that's travis? hahah doesnt seem like him much tho
Lol man... Why the hell are they opening for Slipknot?
Slipknot should be opening for them!
ok at 3:15 that was an epic scream
thats not a dean V its a gibson V
I bet they killed Slipknot with this one :D
looks like there fill in drummer observing what hes gunna have to do when he plays
I really don't like that dw kit which Travis is now using. :( DDRUM kit was really better. But still sick performance!
@LarsUlrichIsMe He may not be technically better but his style was one of a kind. Triviums newer stuff isnt close to as good as this
ho god paolo dont sing anymore plz XXDDD ....... matt growl part is so amasing =.=
Why travis left the band?????
Maybe, and that is just maybe, pre-Fender they were better but not anymore.
who's that guy beside Travis?
i wouldnt say he fucked up the song, but i kinda agree with the fact that he aint a good backupvocal...
lol how`s the guy behind travis?
Ahh, thats good. Im not the only one who wondered what the HELL Coheed were doing on this tour!
HAHA, he usually sound GOOD, but here he sounds funny...
I don't think that was nick at the time..
Jacksons are THE best for metal. Hands down. ESP pales in comparison.
whats that guy doing behind nick
