I was at this show. I'm telling you, this lead singer (Marcus Scott) must have went to "Crowd Pleasing School" cuz this guy knew how to work an audience! He was genuine, funny, humble, and his set of pipes were amazing, he got the crowd into it...the band was absolutely fantastic!

I play in a cover band - and one time after a Big Tower of power show at a casino, Marcus came inside the casino and saw our band playing at the bar haha. He asked to play a set with us! The dude got the whole casino into it- totally owned the stage and directed a band he never met with such amazing creative energy. He’s a special one for sure

That’s why we call our project the soul of zeppelin. We’re not trying to be an “exhibit” or parody/imitation of the band. We’re improvising our way through the music bringing our soul, funk, blues, classical and jazz influences/training to it. Just like they did!!
I was there ( Carl, Al (bass) and I are good friends).There were cameras everywhere. Believe it or not, This was only the 2nd time they ever played together (this show was in Cleveland), the 1st time was the night before in Ft. Wayne Indiana. They were hardly just a rock band. So much funk, soul, blues, R&B, swing and classical. Most people don’t get that and that’s why lots of imitators can’t get it. They think they’re imitating a rock band. But unless you understand all the musical influences behind the music, you’ll never be able to capture the right vibe!!!

That was one funky version of "Trampled Under Foot" I've ever heard! I think George Clinton himself would have been proud. Along with Stevie Wonder, mainly because the keyboardist was channeling some serious "Superstition" vibes right from the start. One of my favorite tunes of "Physical Graffiti", mainly because there is a lot going on with this song. I especially loved the way Page just went off on the guitar as Plant sung the lyrics. Who does that today?
Ha! So glad you like! I’m using a mini cry baby wah and have a nice delay setting on my source audio Nemesis delay pedal and a touch of reverb on my source audio Ventris reverb pedal! Add in the playing technique so that you play along with the effects in a responsive way so it all works together. Thanks for asking.

My favourite Zep track, what a groove it's like Zep are being Tower of Power with 3 musicians!. When they played this live they didn't have a bass player but it still sounded awesome.
Can you PLEASE do a Composer reacts to Over The Hills and Far Away? I think that song deserves a full analysis. Be SURE to mention the licks at the very ending of the track on the album version. Nobody online has discussed this moment (starts at around 4:06).

I’m glad you like! The swing is always present either express or implied but always there. You can’t play this music without it. That’s why when people try to “cover” the material it’s always lacking something because they’re often playing straight eighth notes and don’t realize that there’s an implied bounce to get to the soul of zeppelin!

I also lived in west Wittering West Sussex England near the Stones mansion and one mile from the summer retreats of Nick Mason Eric Clapton David Bowie and 10s more I went to school and college in the south of England for 6 years between 1972 and 1978 and seeing all those rockers daily was just more than normal.
